We had a great time at the Flagler Inn. We have stayed there in the past when it was called the Jaybird, so know the hotel and proximity to the historic district. It is a bit of a hike walking to to St George area, but if you are going for a few more days, they do have complimentary cruiser bikes that make it more manageable. The staff were as friendly as they can be during COVID.
We stayed 3 separate nights at the Flagler Inn. Stayed in the building across the street the 1st night. Did some sight seeing & decided to stay another night. Stayed in the main building the 2nd night. Got up early to go pick up seashells for our grandchildren. When we came back (before 9) to rinse off our feet, change our shoes & pick up the only thing we left in the room (soda-some on the table & some in the fridge). Our warm soda was gone. Should have seen the look on the cleaning lady’s face when I opened the door as she tried to enter & I told her we had not checked out yet! She did go get some of the soda that had been removed but 1 was half gone on her cart. Then we went to Jacksonville for a night & came back to the Flagler Inn for 1 last night before returning home. The last room had a non functioning lock. I piled everything in front of the door as he was entertained watching me. All in all we were satisfied with establishment. The front desk ladies were great help with all our questions & sight seeing requests. The value for our dollar was great except for that broken lock. We enjoyed St Augustine for 3 days total.…
I was so impressed. The room was clean & clearly recently remodled. Lots of new charging stations, enclosed mattresses(NO BUGS). Main road traffic is noisy but not overbearing. Great sunset views with lots to do nearby!
Older hotel but clean and comfortable. It's about 5 to 10 minutes to the historic places of St. Augustine. So the location is perfect! Complimentary coffee was good, breakfast they were giving bags away with cereal, milk, banana and a sweet bread (which we didnt take it). Have nothing to complain. We enjoyed our stay.
This "motel" style property was surprisingly upgraded nicer than others I've seen.. Big table with office-style padded, wheeled chairs and even very comfortable bed and excellent pillows. I especially liked the white bed toppers because I could tell they were clean, and the laminate floors seems better than carpet for being perfectly clean. Desk staff very helpful. Also a remote for the heat and A/C and the angle of the airflow could also be adjusted.
