A wonderful young lady.worys behind the bar at Casa Monica. Her name is Erin. She has an enchanting smile and a very engaging personality. During a recent visit she was very helpful with ordering a charcuterie board. Does not seem like a big deal but it ment something to us. Thanks Erin.

The hotel stay for our middle of the week romantic getaway was absolutely perfect. The moment we walked into the hotel we were greeted by beautiful holiday decorations and at the front desk we were welcomed into the resort by Lakisha Powell. She welcomed us like good friends or family and was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the area. Lakisha Powell was exceptional as she was enthusiastic about assisting us and went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Lakisha Powell is a main reason we would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

We have stayed here a number of times. It is a beautiful historical property. It has its quirks being an older building but that is part of the charm. The staff is impeccable especially considering the time of year we visited during the Nights of Lights. Lakisha is a true gem and made our long weekend. She ensured we were settled in a room that met our needs and did it with grace. We sincerely appreciate her taking the time to take care of our request. All the staff working Thanksgiving weekend 2023 deserves special recognition as they were few against many and made sure that service was above expectation. Thank you!

Supervisor on charge Aniya was incredibly incredibly inappropriate. When asked why our family was locked out of a room she threatened to call security on them after we went down and showed her we were recording the conversation and she acknowledged it was recording and called us belligerent as well and threatened to call security. We can submit video evidence if necessary to show that this was not the case. She needs significant amounts of training or a demotion

A classic boutique hotel in the heart of St. Augustine. Marriott-run. Well-trained staff. Nicely-appointed rooms. A good small business conference destination. Two issues. Pool music is set way too high. Annoying. Unnecessary. Extremely loud in my room to the point I had to set TV volume well up to hear over the noise. Bathroom renovations in the lobby forced all guests to travel across the driveway to the meeting room side to use facilities. Also irritating. Obviously temporary but eroded the dining experience. Speaking of dining - our catered meals were good. Attentive staff. But I found the dining room and annex did not match the hotel reputation. I had two semi-disappointing meals. Didn't return dishes to the kitchen but should have. Always difficult when serving larger parties but my dishes had either sat too long before serving or were overdone. Average experience. My group's consensus was the same if not a bit lower.

Not worth the money, we have been here 4 times now, simply for the EASE and proximity to the college. The room smell musty and like animal urine. EVERY time we have stayed here the hot water is not working it is luke warm to take showers at best so frustrating for what you pay! Don't bother calling down to room service, or the desk no one ever answers and they blame the phone system. The reno is beautiful however on the main level, and we are so glad to see life back in this area, the dining, live music, and hang out areas are great!!

We were traveling the ICW from Charleston and this was night two for us. Short walk from the municipal marina to the hotel. We found the front desk clerk lovely and efficient. She offered us a glass of champagne which was nice. We did spend time at the new bar. It is beautiful but I think they missed an opportunity to make it larger since it only has 8 seats. We tried the wagyu meatballs and they were delicious. We found Erin and the food and beverage manager (name escapes me) very nice and fun. It is my understanding that the rooms will be renovated next. I look forward to returning when all renovations are completed.

The hotel lobby is under construction so you will not have the same experience staying at the hotel at the moment. The check in lobby is tiny and those who work there are very nice but excruciating slow. My room was not ready so I went to the restaurant inside the hotel for lunch and had the worst food of my life. Do not bother. It’s an okay hotel with very high prices that gets people because its old world. Everything about the hotel is old. The gym is very tiny also. There’s no bathroom at the gym. Just a few machines in a very small space.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend. The staff was wonderful. Everyone from the front desk, to valet, to the bartenders at the makeshift satellite bar. A little disappointed and caught off guard we did not receive an email or phone call from the hotel regarding the current renovations upon booking. Waking up to tile saws and other noises coming from the floor below was less than ideal for what was supposed to be a quiet weekend out of town. Because of the renovations, we were told the nearest restroom was the pool restroom or up the exterior stairs near the valet stand (but these were locked). On Sunday afternoon, we wanted to catch one of the football games and have some drinks downstairs. We were unable to do this because the tv near their satellite bar wasn’t streaming anything. We were told we could sign into one of our own personal streaming services if we wanted to use the smart tv. We opted to grab a drink and just watch the last few minutes in our room. Not the bartender’s fault but something small that should have been given a little thought on a football Sunday. The location was perfect walking distance to everything we wanted. Overall, would absolutely stay again….once the much needed updates and renovations are completed.
