We rank this resort as one of the Top 5 Resorts in Florida our group has visited that allows Rallies . The resort location is beautiful, giving off old Florida. Vibes littered with magnificent Oaks. The staff is excellent, friendly and most accommodating. Great amenities, There were several weekly resort sponsored activities during our stay. We rallied with 12 of our 21 member motor coaches many ranging over 40 ft . Navigating and parking in our sites was a breeze. The walking trails and lay out of the park is pleasing. Very good dog parks (3) Our group made use of the club house for several club activities during our. 5 night stay. Our members voted to rally here again
We have already booked for September 2024

We came up here for a week getaway (currently still here). We are two families both with younger active kids. This park is super friendly and clean. The rv park is close to everything (about a 10 min drive to all the main attractions). The pool is very clean and the kids have had a blast riding their bikes around and playing ping pong and cornhole. The site we have is a back in site with ample room - we have a 37ft 5th wheel and there is ample room for our truck and friends suv. All the staff has been extremely helpful and friendly. There is a concert slap with a picnic table and fire pit. When we were out at the pool, we saw people constantly ensuring everything was clean and up to par. The restrooms and laundry room are very clean (laundry is $2.25 which seems the normal lately everywhere we travel ). We have learned to bring fly traps where ever we go camping lately. We set that up first day we got here outside and have had enjoyable fly free meals outside (fly trap is full because it’s Florida and flys love this weather - but none have ruined our meals )

We stayed here three nights while visiting st. Augustine. It is a well maintained park. We liked that a staff member accompanied us to our site and made sure we got in with no problems. The bathrooms were very clean and you had to have a code to get in. I appreciated the laundry facilities so we could wash our clothes. There is a Dollar General right outside the gate so you can walk over and pick up food items, etc.

We decided to Uber downtown and had them meet us at the Dollar General. It was about $12 and we found it convenient to not have to look for parking.

I would stay there again.

The park was well maintained, and it’s convenient to downtown St. Augustine (about 10 minutes).

This would be a 5-star review if not for the lack of WiFi! There is none, at least not in site 120, and our next door neighbor said the same thing. They offer a WiFi plan that you can purchase through an outside vendor, so reluctantly we did. That was so slow it was like watching paint dry, and sometimes even that gave us a message of “no internet”. I called the office to complain, and the woman there told me we should contact the WiFi provider and ask for our money back! It’s as though they take no ownership of this issue.

At $69/night they should be providing acceptable WiFi without us having to pay an extra fee. BUT if we do pay extra for WiFi, it ought to work!!!

Sun Resorts you should be ashamed!!

Noting an earlier review: I also booked this stay through Internet Sites but, my 'confirmed reservation' was not recognized when i arrived. (phone & book direct!) So, definitely 'Panic Time'. Luckily, they had a space and I was escorted in. Everything you read, in their advertising boast, is true. The sites are spaced well enough away from your neighbor, the entire Park is in excellent condition, the showers/bathrooms were 'spotles's, they had a animal walk, it was priced fairly, and they were about 14 minutes from the Historic District in St. Augustine .... virtually on-the-way there. Full hook-up with all the right stuff 'working'! Bonus: A very convenient Dollar Store in front!. The 'other' parks I investigated were very old and most, further away then you'd like. I even found a glorious Japanese Restaurant just up and around the corner so, enjoyed a perfect Sushi Dinner. I liked this Park so much I booked it again enroute back home from a 10 day trip around The Blue Ridge Parkway. The 'help' there (from Receptionist to Cart Driver to Personnel) deserve a full "10" for helpful, courteous, informed and professional service. (NOTE: Formally called "Compass RV Park")

This is a nice park! Friendly and most helpful staff, super clean grounds. However, I was disappointed in the center section bathrooms. For $114 per night on a weekday you would expect super nice bathroom/shower facilities. The center section bathrooms were old and outdated and the facility smelt like urine. Took a shower one night, the toilets were dirty. Departed the next day around lunch and they were still dirty. Will probably try and find something a little more cost efficient next trip.

We were excited about our stay with friends at Compass RV Resort after what we had read online, but man were we disappointed! There was no mention of the "ghetto" section they placed us in. Spots were so close together that our friends could not even put out their awning because it would but the next RV. Our spot was a slight but better but not by much. In the site next to ours, the sites were so tight that the back of each camper, in 2 spots) were actually touching. My list of complaints is as follows:

The "ghetto" section was so overcrowded that it was a safety hazzard.

Cars from other sites actually parked on our site.

Laundry room was nice and clean but very expensive considering the amount paid to stay there.

2 sites across from us appeared to be permanent residents. One RV was filthy and looked as it was permanently affixed to the ground. They had laundry lines hanging from several trees. The site next to them had a car that was missing a muffler and everytime it was started the racket was loud and obnoxious not to mention the smoke and fumes emitted from the thing.

The WI-Fi was useless. Don't advertise wi-fi if it doesn't work.

There was other's people's dog's poop left in the dog park area and along some of the roads. Come on people. Children from a site near ours were left on their own to play, ride bikes, tell, scream, climb in their camper and leave their bikes in other sites and in the road. Parents were gone for hours. The kids were out yelling and screaming until after midnight.

When we would call the office, before stated closing times, no one would answer.

Supposed security guard could never be found.

The Park was divided into 3 sections, the ghetto, the middle class and the elites. I can understand having different price ranges but they should advise that the ghetto is literally, a ghetto.

I have stayed in much nicer parks for less money many times. We were told the park used to be nicer but when it was bought by a corporation, customer service and niceties went down and prices went up.

This could be a very nice place for everyone but I will not waste my time there again.

Have heard a lot about this park so we stayed there. I would normally pay 40 to 45 per night at parks that are like this. Gravel road, cement patio, gravel pad but level. Instead the cost was 79 with Mil disc plus 8 in taxes totaling 87 per night. Don’t get me wrong nice park but over priced.

We have stayed at this park a total of 9 months over the last 6 years. We like to stay in the Oasis which is the nicest and most expensive area of the park. Sooo disappointed that we got NO wifi ! How are you supposed to stay long term with no wifi to handle your business - nevermind no streaming of tv which is usually a given in todays world. We even paid for an upgrade of wifi which did nothing.'
We were also surprised that the nice brick paver sites have not been maintained as many have black mildew and or oil spots. A bit of pressure washing is all that is needed.
The other issue is not the park's fault but the activities have been reduced due to Covid. The ones they have are all outside because they have closed the clubhouse. With the cool weather this winter, that has limited the ones we can enjoy.
We just wish that we had been told of these issues before coming. It also seems the fees could be reduced to reflect the lack of activities.
We will not be returning.

There are buddy sites that have two guests ‘facing’ each other. If you want four together you should phone and book well in advance. Things are busy and book up early!
