One of Saint Augustine's few Adult-Only inns. We are known for our clean, modern rooms, delicious breakfasts, and the inn's charming Charlotte Street location. We are a bed and breakfast in the heart of the nation's oldest city. The owner delivers a comfortable bed and breakfast experience with well appointed rooms with their own bathrooms and all the amenities you expect to make your stay as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

Detailed Reviews
We visit St Augustine with some regularity, but this is our first time staying in this B&B. We were with two other couples. Our room was in the main house on the back side, so it was probably a bit quieter than one of the front rooms facing the hustle and bustle on Charlotte St. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower. Co-owner Rod prepared a delicious breakfast each morning promptly served at 9:00am. The Hemingway is conveniently located midway between and parallel to A1A and Spanish St. After a day in town we spent our evenings on the front porch. We felt very comfortable given the COVID pandemic. The house was clean and the guests generally wore masks in the public area inside the house. We have already booked a return trip for November. We definitely recommend staying here when visiting St. Augustine.

+1
We booked our stay at the Hemingway based on reviews and were not disappointed. The hosts were attentive to our needs, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was lovely. Parking is limited and narrow, which they warned us in advance, so we parked at the nearby enclosed parking garage (only $15 for 24 hours) and leisurely walked to the B & B. The location in the historic district was perfect - near the water and St. George St., so no car was needed once there. We loved that it was all adult and quiet time was observed after 8 P.M. All the bedrooms were upstairs, so that could present a problem for some, but not for this over 70 active couple. We would stay there again!

My husband and I loved this B&B! The room was cozy and super comfortable, breakfast each morning was delicious, and the coffee/tea station & stocked refrigerator downstairs were really nice touches. Onsite parking is very convenient. We visited St Augustine to enjoy the Nights of Lights & this B&B has the PERFECT location - we were able to walk to amazing restaurants, live music, historical sites, and boutique shops. The hosts go above and beyond to detail all information about check in/check out and what to do in the area. Very enjoyable stay, we'll be back!

We made a spur of the moment decision to have a mini-break in St. Augustine. Our preferred B & B was not available, so we opted for the Hemingway House (no actual Hemingway connections that we could discern), instead. It was a good choice, as we had a very pleasant stay here. While the room was small, it was comfortably decorated, with modern features (all functional, too!) and centrally cooled. Staff were friendly and accommodating to our limited needs. Breakfasts were good, if not particularly memorable. The B & B is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the main historic attractions. On-site parking was included in the room charge (a good selling point for us, as we did want easy access to the car for limited jaunts beyond walking distance). We would stay at the Hemingway House, again, when visiting St. Augustine.

Jerry and Rod are very welcoming hosts. Jerry provided some wonderful restaurant tips. We spent 3 nights in the Pauline room; this room is in the back with a private balcony. Speaking of private, you have your own assigned parking space. Anyone who has been to St Augustine is aware of the cost to park and can see the value of your own space. This B&B is close to everything. You won't need to walk very far for anything. Breakfast, prepared by Rod, tastes excellent and is well portioned. An evening social is available; we enjoyed getting to know our fellow guests and shared tips of the ancient city. We will recommend this B&B to anyone planning a trip to the Old City.

We have been going to St Augustine for 20 plus years and have stayed at many different B&B's in the downtown area. I will have to say that this is definitely our favorite so far. The hosts seemed to truly enjoy having you there and the room was extremely clean and comfortable and it is convenient to walk to all of the downtown areas. Will definitely stay again.

The Hemingway House is a beautiful bed and breakfast with excellent ownership. They were very friendly and accommodating. The food cooked is wonderful.
The location of the house puts the best area of St Augustine in easy walking distance. If you want to venture out a little further the Hemingway House has convenient parking that allows you to come and go by car without worrying about losing your spot.

This property is perfectly located in the historic area. We stayed for 2 nights and never had to move the car from our free parking space which was very convenient. Fortunately we stayed over the carriage house so our parking was behind the building, affording us an easier in & out since the streets are very narrow and congested. The house is old but well kept & all workers were extremely friendly and accommodating, we were even able to check in early. The only room available when we booked was room 16 Pillar which is set up for 4 with 2 queen beds and a fabulous bathroom, thank goodness there were only 2 of us! The bathroom was infact wonderful with lots of room and a double shower. I would have given this stay a 5 but unfortunately this room fit only the beds, no chair, no drawers, no closet, no luggage rack. Since there were only 2 of us we used the second bed for luggage. Lastly there is a daily cleaning fee charged up front however rooms are only cleaned for longer stays unless requested. I do feel this property is a bit overpriced for the accommodations however this is downtown historic St Augustine and the property was full for Festival of Lights.

While we only stayed at the Hemingway House for one night, we had a lovely stay and the inn hostess, Barbara was warm and welcoming. The B&B is clean and nicely decorated, the location is also great, right in the heart of the historic district. We stayed in the Pauline Pfeiffer room, it is small room but I understood that when I booked the room. We booked the location because of price, location, adult-only B&B, and onsite parking. Our hostess Barbara made a delicious breakfast of blueberry pancakes, sausage and homemade vanilla flavored syrup. All yummy!

We stayed in Papa's Room in the carriage house behind the main inn. We loved everything about out room. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed our large updated bathroom and our private porch. The complimentary breakfast provided by the innkeepers each morning is delicious and homemade...and the complimentary wine and beer happy hour each afternoon is a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again....it was comfortable without being too fussy and the price was very reasonable. Dear friends recommended this place to us, and now we know why. We will be back.
