We stayed in an upstairs suite that provided everything we needed in cozy clean comfort. The bed was comfortable. We had a kitchen area with a fridge so we could enjoy leftovers. We even had a terrific living room. While the decor could be updated, the only thing I would change is the bathrooms. I have knee issues so the low toilet was difficult and the shower was too small, but those are small blips to an otherwise excellent experience. The Cozy Inn is an excellent base of operations to explore St. Augustine. We left happy with our choice and ready to come back and stay again.
The Cozy Inn is perfect for people wanting something other than a generic hotel experience. I reserved an efficiency room, which is part of the renovated 1930's motel. Happily, we were upgraded to the 1930's cottage across the street. This cottage was converted into four suites of rooms. Our suite had a bedroom with a king sized bed, a full kitchen, and a living room. The front porch came with our suite, where we drank our morning coffee and smelled the blooming jasmine. The Cozy Inn is outside the historic district, which one can walk to if in excellent shape. We walked in the first day and then drove and parked. The staff was friendly and helpful. The magic of the Cozy Inn made our trip to St. Augustine.
The location was ideal and we noted how clean it was. That was why we chose it when we looked to find rooms for our get-away, showers are nice although no grab bars for safety. Nice place indeed at a very fair price. The staff also was friendly and efficient. Being a small room the a.c. Pointed right at the bed. We just moved the chair over to solve that. See photos
We stayed in a deluxe suite. It was perfect. Large, quiet, comfortable, clean. What more could you ask for? For the money, you'll not find a better value. Kitchen/dining and living room area are part of the same big room. The bedroom is separate with it's own TV, large closet. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. We couldn't have been happier with this place.
Every well appointed townhouse! New appliances & TV's. The Wi-Fi was good thought-out the property , which is important since cell coverage sucks in St Augustine. Cindy couldn't have been more accommodating
Our rooms at the Cozy Inn were just perfect, they were clean, had everything we needed, and were very cute and yes cozy! My father has mobility issues and he loved his room, he was able to get around with ease. It was a very quick and easy trip to all of the sights downtown, and such a great cost savings! This property has been lovingly cared for and we all really appreciated the uniqueness and historical value of the Inn. We will definitely stay here when we return to town, and we will happily recommend the Cozy Inn to everyone!
The best I can give is 2 dots the price I saw on the internet was not even close to what I was charged and the room they gave us was so small we could not move without bumping into each other plus the bathroom was so small it was embarrassing to the point my wife and I just laughed at the situation. The reason only 2 dots was because the people there were very accompanying and generously helpful.
I just got a email through Booking.Com that my room was canceled, no reason or explanation. I decided to call Cozy Inn and after several attempts and no answer I decided to leave a message. About a hour after leaving a phone message I get a email for the Cozy Inn saying they have plumbing issues and can’t honor my reservations. What customer service that they couldn’t even call me back and worst of all they blamed Booking .Com for not informing me. Who’s motel is it and who’s reputation is it. I went on their website and found availability for the townhouse ? Rooms in the area have increased about 20 to 30 Percent for that time, needless to say but will never book here again.
First, A thank you to Cindy who helped us with our stay. Late checkout upon request. Granted. stowed our carry on until the room was ready. Thank you again Cindy you make us want to come back. The room was # 34, across the street in the house. we had a king suite which consisted of a living room/ kitchen and a separate king size bed bedroom and bathroom. Upon entering the room it was impeccable clean. Very clean. The kitchen had a modern feel with all you need if you didn't want to go out an eat. The bed was comfortable, plenty of towels, very nice. To get into the middle of St Augustine downtown it about a mile 1/2 miles, But, here is a tip.... if you want to take the trolley, just walk 1/4 of a mile 5 to 8 mins and pick up the trolley at the 1st stop. By the old jail, It will take you around St. Augustine and you can hope off and on. Then take it back to the old jail and walk back to the cozy inn. If not, I believe a shuttle for the trolley will pick you up at the inn. A place to get lunch or breakfast is right up the street. Drakes, good food and nice people and service. I will be back and will stay here again. Don't over look this place. Hidden Gem.…
We stayed in one of the townhouses. It was a wonderful place to stay. The townhouse was very clean. There was plenty of room in the living kitchen area, the bedroom and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook and eat meals there. Coffee was provided for the coffee pot which was greatly appreciated. WiFi was provided. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Two other couples were traveling with us. One of the couples also stayed in a townhouse and the other couple stayed in a room. Both of the other couples were also happy with the accommodations. We will definitely stay there again when we are in the area. Highly recommended.
