This is a modest beach motel with a great view of the ocean (at least from the third floor where our room was). If you're looking for a fancy resort with a restaurant/bar/spa, look elsewhere. But the room was clean and the staff was very nice. Breakfast is included at the Magic Beach motel across the street. Minifridge, microwave, coffee...

Stayed this past week (Jan 2-4). Great find with a great view. The hotel needs to be upgraded but it was very clean and the staff was awesome. The only issues we had were the wifi didn't work the first day (not a big deal since we spent the day on the water) and nobody told us we needed to...

The best part of this hotel is the view to the beach. Rooms have good size, a microwave, frigobar, and coffee maker. Hotel is average, need more upgrades and renovations. I chose it because there were not too many choices for these busy dates. Can't complaint much but I rather stay @ downtown. This Inn is on Villano Beach (6...

This hotel is in Vilano Beach, which is a small, low key beach town just 10 minutes from St. Augustine. Closer and easier than St. Augustine beach; the town has views/access to the ocean, the inlet, and the river with a view of St Augustine. The town boomed in the 20's and the 60's but is showing some disrepair and...

Oceanview Lodge was wonderful! Our stay was shortly after Hurricane Matthew so some concessions had to be made like check in and breakfast across the street at Magic Beach Hotel...but we didn't mind, it was close and everyone was so helpful and friendly. Everyone we had contact with was over the top helpful and concerned about our comfort and we...

Arrived to a sign to go to the Magic Beach Hotel, across the street, to check in. Then it dawned on me that I should have called and checked about status after the hurricane. No problem, walked across, got checked in, found out that there was some damage, some rooms still not open and the elevator was not working...ugh. Luckily...

Over a week after Hurricane Matthew arrived, and 5 days from my check in, the hotel called me to cancel my reservation. I was literally in line to board the plane when they called. They did offer to transfer my reservation to the motel they owned. Several miles away at another hotel, they actually called my parents to make sure...

Had a mildew smell when you get to the bedroom by the balcony. I think maybe it was coming out of the air conditioner. Beautiful view of the beach. Great location, walk to Publix, chinese food restaurant next to Publix was excellent! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Back bedroom then walk through the kitchen/bathroom and then there's the other...

Hotel was nice and would stay there again. Lady at the front counter was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple but fine. Beach is right across the street and views from room are great. Pool was very small but not needed with beach right there. Thanks for the nice visit Jeff

So to be fair we booked thru hotels.com the Magic beach motel. When we checked in the jetted tub king room we paid for was not what they had. The owner of the Magic hotel is also owner (family owned) of the ocean view lodge. They apologized for the mistake and upgraded us to the same type of room at...
