The front desk staff was very friendly during the day. Overnight front desk was a little rude. There was no coffee in the room, just a coffee maker. No hair dryer, or shower curtain. (Possibly on purpose? But it soaked the bathroom floor taking a shower). The pool area wasn’t very clean. But I did still enjoy the stay, mainly because of the close proximity to downtown St Augustine. All in all not a terrivle experience!

Called hotel before reservation due to covid-19. We live in cocoa beach but were going to be up that way for some business. Called to see how things were in St Augustine, explained that we thought we stay night if things were back open. We told them that we just wanted to go out have some drinks and dinner. The guy straight lied to me told me yeah most everything back up and running "it is a great time for that due to light crowds" we get there check in walk in to town (hotel is walking distance to historic section) only to find out almost everything is closed. We literally walked everywhere and found like 4 places very limited open. Why be so dishonest, he even told us that although their pool was closed they had a bar that was open. It was not. As far as actually hotel, it has good location and seemed clean. Biggest problem in room were the curtains, You cannot close them. It seems to be due that if you could they would block A/C. Get shorter curtains first thing in morn sun is beating into room so sleeping is not a option. But the dishonest was my biggest problem there are too many options in area to deal with that. Had I just been told the truth I would have waited and made a reservation for a few night a couple weeks later when things were open. We love Saint Augustine, kind of go to short getaway. Next time we will stay somewhere else.

We stayed here for 2 nights for short trip. I will make a list of pros and cons. Pros- great location. You can walk to about everything and not use your car. Check in and out was good. Lady was nice. Had a small bar downstairs , but I didn't use at the time. Cons- walls are very thin and can be noisy at times. We reserved two rooms - one for my husband and I and one for my son and his friend. One of their beds had hair on the sheets so they went downstairs to get new sheets. The hotel wasn't overly dirty, but I felt like it could have been cleaned a bit better. We were here for 2 nights and most of the time we were out and about sight seeing, so the hotel was fine for this trip. If I was staying longer , I would have picked another hotel, but it served it's purpose.

Okay hotel. We had a problem with the toilet our first room so we got moved after reporting it twice and giving the entire evening to fix it while we were out. The second room was bigger, but both needed a good cleaning and some fixing. Broken blinds, worn out nightstands, etc. As an ascend Collection with a price tag to match the title I would have expected better. It was okay clean. The coffee and breakfast in the morning was quite expensive too, so you’re better off a little further from the center of town and Uber.
