The Silver Sands St. Augustine is a quiet, ocean front retreat on a large, natural, beachfront property with the pristine beaches of Crescent Beach, St Augustine, as the front yard. Enjoy beautiful, white sand beaches while swimming, surfing or just relaxing in a quiet, natural setting. With only 2 cottages and 3 suites on the entire property, it is like having your personal, tropical escape.
We stayed in Kemp Cottage over the holidays, and we felt right at home. We loved seeing the property decorated with wreaths and ornaments on the trees. This is our second time staying at The Silver Sands and we cannot wait to go back. The staff is amazing! The quick walk to the beach is through an enchanted walkway where we encountered several tortoises. EVERY amenity was at our fingertips. The feel of The Silver Sands is right out of the past. It is quiet, private and overall, a truly wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend staying here.

We have stayed here twice and it is an amazing place. It had everything we needed from coffee to beach chairs. We also love seeing the turtles and ravens who come up to the office to eat. It is a beautiful walk to the beach on a short path. I always look to book here first when I come in to town, but it is always booked so plan ahead :)

We recently stayed in the Hawksbill Suite for 4 nights. We loved it! The suite was exceptionally clean. We loved the proximity to the beach, and the walk was enjoyable. We saw a turtle on our walk a few times. The beach was very quiet, which was exactly what we wanted! I hope we will be able to get back to this area again because we loved our stay here!

I almost hate leaving a review to keep the place all to ourselves! Our young family of 4 enjoyed our stay at this quiet private authentic hotel. As long as it’s still there we plan to stay annually. Everything was wonderful. The beach is just a short walk away which is where we spent most of our time. The grounds and rooms are well kept with surveillance. Enjoyed our privacy and felt safe. This was our second time visiting but the first since the renovation. I can't say enough good about this place. We will be back as soon as possible. This is a great place to unwind, unplug (though there is wifi and tv) and just chill on a fairly unpopulated beach.

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary at the Silver Sands. I found it on-line and so glad I did. We are already plotting our next two trips back. This is the perfect place, like a hidden jewel. A small property, we had no noisy neighbors, you couldn't hear a thing through the walls, it was SO peaceful. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, and so quiet, warm enough to swim in, just what we were looking for. The tide goes out forever, you can take long walk and also ride bikes on the beach the sand is so hard packed, I've never seen anything like this. The grounds of the property are so pretty, with a winding path to the beach with wildflowers, and a few turtles. Our room (the Ridley Suite) was awesome, very clean and updated. It had a nice little porch area out front where we would sit in the morning with our coffee. King bed was very comfortable, with a tv right directly in front, small chair and bench and a little pull out chair for a small child if you need that. It has all you need a full sized fridge, microwave, oven, all the dishes, toaster, coffee maker, nice towels, and soap products. Another nice feature especially if you are flying to Florida, is the additional of a beach bag, small cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, we appreciated that. You can tell the owners take pride in their place. We just LOVE it. We have no complaints, only two suggestions I would offer for the suite is a Keurig coffee maker and new feather pillows. This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE place. We go a lot of places and I write a lot of honest trip advisor reviews, this is the best!

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Silver Sands and it keeps getting better! The rooms are renovated with a full kitchen with new appliances. The room was clean and bright with a new bed and every detail was perfect! The manager is friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautful. Just a short walk across the dunes to a beautiful, wide beach and they even allow dogs which is unusual. We will be back next year!

We spent 2 nights in the Ridley unit, a small, cozy restful sanctuary...perfect spot for weary travellers to unwind and refuel. The quality craftsmanship and materials used in the refurbishing of this charming property were not overlooked. The beautiful wide sandy beach was accessed by a private walkway...uncrowded, except for the shorebirds. The new owners of Silver Sands are regarded as "special people" as per comments from our server at the Matanzas Innlet restaurant.

Traveled with a friend to see Mumford and Sons perform in St. Augustine. We wanted to stay on the beach but didn't think we could afford it........until we found this gem. We booked the Monarch suite, it has a king bed and a pull out sofa, also has a great little kitchen. Having the kitchen was a great way to keep our budget down buy cooking most of our meals. Loved the fact that they provide everything you need for the beach (towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc...). This is a great, quite location. Close enough to St. Augustine for sight seeing but far enough away from the crowds to feel like you've really gotten a rest. I definitely will stay here again, hoping to convince the hubby to go next year. :)
