This was BY FAR the BEST place I've stayed at while in St Augustine. I've made many trips out there and this was my favorite place to stay at! Thank you Chris and Conrad for everything! I will be back again for sure :-)

I did a lot of research to find the right place for a girls weekend getaway to St Augustine. I finally decided on the Pirates Haus Inn. It was ALL it said it was and more. The owner, Conrad and his manager, Chris, were the "best". They helped us with everything we needed and then some. The rooms are very... More

Ok, well I've been slack on leaving a review for years. This is one of my favorite places in one of my favorite towns anywhere, ever. Saint Augustine is unique, inviting, fun, and relaxing. It has great history, which is well-highlighted, great food and drink at a plethora of easy-to-reach locations, beaches way better than the ones where I reside,... More

Very cool place to stay. It's themed. It's small. Guys that run it are super friendly to kids and adults. I've never stayed anywhere like it. The living room has toys, games, movies, and a couple of computers, so it really is a family room. People staying there are instant friends because of the relaxed environment. My son is 6,... More

We loved this place! Fantastic location, Conrad and Chris are super nice and friendly, very professional but fun and easy going! The place is clean and very unique. My friends (all in late 20s early 30s plus a 9 and a 12 year old) had a great time and felt super comfortable. Other guests were nice, coffee was AMAZING and... More

We've stayed here several times over the year; just keeps getting better in terms of updates and cleanliness. I'm about to write a fantastic reveiw. But keep in mind, I am not used to staying in 5 star hotels...we pretty much stay in hostels and inexpensive motels. This place is fantastic value for the money...but it ain't the Ritz Carlton... Thanks for your review! We do actually have free earplugs at the front desk, I just need to note that in the guestbooks in the rooms. We also ask that our guests be considerate to others, but it seems some people just weren't raised that way. If we could somehow limit our bookings to include "You must be considerate of... More

I was unsure if I should write this review, for the sheer fact that I would rather “The Pirate Haus” remain the hidden gem of St Augustine’s Historic District. Yet, that would not be fair to the great people of the “Pirate Haus” so here goes… This was my first trip to St Augustine after over 1 year of researching... More

Thanks for not keeping the secret! Sorry that your experience at A1A was not better. I usually just eat at the bar downstairs and service is quick and the food good, not awesome, just very good. Well, I'll take that back, the last burger I had was awesome! For an anniversary dinner I might have suggested Collage or something fancier,... More

Pirate Haus is fun. We had room 9 which was great. Space enough and the room was clean. It was very quiet in the hotel and it's a very short walk to the city. In the morning we got the famous pancakes (Dutch style) and met Conrad. Admirable that after 9 years he can still pronounce "Inburgeringscursus" . For the... More

This was about our 12th visit to St. Augustine, some trips with the kids and some without them. We walked by the Pirate Haus many times on these prior visits but never really gave it a second look. It looks....hostel-ish. And it functions that way in part, with the community kitchen and the living area down the hall with two... More

Thanks for your kind review Gobucs, indeed we are usually full up with re-enactors on re-enactment weekends but we had a cancellation or two hence the opening. I myself was camping out at the re-enactment site as I'm one of those in charge at times, so I didn't get to meet you all, though we did get one of our... More

...warmer weather? My sister and I visited during one of the coldest weeks St. Augustine had in years. But the Pirate Haus was a perfect place to stay. The location was terrific--near beach, restaurants, shops and museums. Cap'n Conrad pointed out the must see and must eat places in the area, and had good stories for the mateys. One of... More

Thank you for your review! If you can visit again anytime in the next 6 months, I personally guarantee warmer weather than you had during your stay!! I'm glad you and your sister were able to have a great time in spite of the thermometer readings, and thank you for choosing us! More
