I tried emails and calling Conrad to tell him how fun his hostel is for us international people around the world but he never responded to me, so here let's say, funny, tons of fun, the boss and team give such a real sincere warm atmosphere it encourages people to interact and the rooms colorful charming and cozy as if staying in a person's house. Real pancakes with your names on these every morning and everyorning the boss asks your name then makes your pancakes! Great games to play very social and welcomes everybody. St Augustine is a family's Haven and Tradewinds bar and live tiku hut music next door is where Jimmy Buffet sold his first cassettes every night. Hope Conrad writes me back as I'm coming there again the 22 January and love it so much would volunteer with his team 3 weeks! Love Lori

Old building but quite quaint and reasonably priced. Good family with kids hotel. Hot breakfast is provided. Comfortable and quiet. A mini adventure. There is a hop on/off trolly so the entire city is at your fingertips. Lots to see and do. Been there 4 times and see something different each time. Firing the cannons from the old fort is a must see.

My family of 4 stayed here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the stay. The creative pancakes were fantastic, the hosts were very welcoming, and the room was perfect for us. I really enjoyed being in the heart of St Augustine close to everything.

I completed a 7 week bicycle trip from San Diego finishing in st Augustine. I was very tired and stayed two nights for rest and relaxation. Conrad, pírate haus, owner, and staff made my stay the best of my trip. Conrad told so many great stories while fixing guests’ pancake breakfasts. Plus he offers local and regional info. Rooms are clean and bed comfortable and there’s plenty of hot water for showers. PH Is centrally located with short walks to restaurants, museums, and shopping. The only drawback for some people, The stairs to second floor are steep. No one walked the plank while I was there and yes I would estay there against. George
