Casa de Suenos never disappoints. We have stayed here several times over the years. The social hour and dessert box are a nice touch. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Patrick gave us and other guests some good dinner place suggestions.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights here for our vacation to St. Augustine and it was just what we needed. The ADA room named Nieves was true to ADA with ramp access, roll in shower, bars in shower and by toilet. They provided a shower chair as well. The room was arranged to suit a manual wheelchair. We appreciated the attention to details in this. The location is wonderful, in the historic district, we walked to everything except for when we went to the lighthouse and alligator farm over the Bridge of Lions.
It's charming in it's electic decor and just felt so cozy. Breakfast was delicious every morning(you can choose your times for breakfast) and my favorite was the homemade desserts every night, ranging from cheesecake brownies to bundt cake to carrot cake cupcakes.
The innkeepers are friendly and are open to suggesting restaurants and attractions from a local's perspective.
Lastly, you can't beat the price! We got an extra night here with parking and Wi-Fi included cheaper than our original 4 day reservation at the Hilton (where parking was going to be an extra $30 a day) So, for a true St. Augustine stay, check out Casa De Suenos!! ☺️

We hadn't been to St. Augustine for 5 years so we were looking for good accommodations and a convenient location. This inn fit the bill perfectly. It is an attractive older building which is within 4 blocks of just about anywhere in downtown St. Augustine. The innkeeper (Cathy, I think) welcomed us warmly and smoothly processed our reservation. The inn is well aware of COVID-19 and guests are encouraged to wear masks within the premises except when dining. The hospitality is great. There is a Happy Hour daily with beer & wine and munchies. Home baked snacks are available during the day (this week, snickerdoodles, one of my favorites). Tin the evening before 8 PM, a boxed up treat is available, which was rich and delicious each night. The breakfasts are mostly prepackaged, for COVID, with one hot entree each morning which is delivered to your table. Everything is there, juice, milk coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit cups, etc. You can take anything back to your room if you are not comfortable in the dining room. Jenna, the cook/housekeeper, was very accommodating to your needs.
The rooms are nicely appointed. I recommend the Nieves room, which is on the 1st floor with a separate entrance from the parking lot.
This is an older building that was renovated, so it doesn't have all the amenities of a modern hotel, but if you like this type of B&B, this one checks all the boxes.

My wife and I were only able to stay one night at Casa de Suenos, but we will most definitely be back for a longer stay next time. I can't explain fully how well the B&B and Jennette took care of us. Upon arrival, you ring the bell for access (nice feature for the safety of guests and staff). We were welcomed immediately by Jennette. she got us checked in, gave us our key, showed us the inn, and made us feel right at home. The B&B has a free social hour in the evening. Coffee, tea and water are always available, as well as snacks. There are multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas to enjoy the company of other guests or to enjoy peace and quiet alone. The hostess will leave a dessert in your room each night if you like. In our case, my wife is lactose intolerant, so instead of the wonderful chocolate cake I had for dessert, Jennette left my wife these amazing fresh, lactose-free chocolate dipped strawberries! This was a very nice and thoughtful touch. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of great food to eat....eggs, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls and many other things. Plenty of coffee was available too! We booked the Valencia room upstairs which was spotless and super comfortable. This room is large with a giant bathroom, jacuzzi tub, shower and outside private balcony with seating and a table. I can't wait to go back here again. It is an easy walk of 2 or 3 blocks to all the restaurants, shops, etc you could ask for. We didn't move my truck between arrival and checking out because everything is so convenient, but it is also quiet.

Our room was on the first floor near the breakfast area and in spite of the proxmity to the dining room was extremely quiet. The mattress on the king size bed was perfect for us. We liked having the ceiling fan. The bathroom was plenty big with a stand up shower. Both the room and the bathroom were spotless.
Each day the breakfast was different and very tasty. The deserts served at night were an added treat. Coffee, tea, water, etc. were available 24 hours a day.
Our hostess was a fount of knowledge and directed us to great restaurants and local things to see. The location in the old section of town was perfect and attractions, bars and restaurants were within easy walking distance. We never moved the car for 4 days!
All in all, Casa de Suenos made our trip to beautiful and historic St. Augustine absolutely perfect!! Thanks everyone associated for helping in so many ways.

Tina is a wonderful and welcoming innkeeper ! That being said, when my husband and I arrived at the FL welcome center, I picked up several pamphlets on St Augustine. On their lodging pages I saw the name Casa de Suenos , B and B. When I called I talk to a very nice lady at their sister Hotel. She was very patient and helpful. After describing all rooms available we chose an upstairs room with a whirlpool tub and private balcony. This B and B was easy to find with private parking and an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Tina greeted us with a big smile and made us feel right at home! This place is beautiful! "Very" clean and inviting. Coffee,Tea and bowls of candy are always available during the day. There is a Meet and Greet at 5pm with wine and beer. Dips and Chips too. Wonderful breakfast and a special dessert sent to your room at night. Don't miss out on this quit little gem !! AAA discount !

HI Patricia- Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. It sounds like you had a wonderful experience all around. We were curious though about the score of 2 out of 5 stars. If there was something we could have done better to receive more stars we would love to know. If that was done in error maybe Trip Advisor can adjust the star rating for you. Thank you again for staying with us. We hope to see you back again!

Our stay at "dream house" was just that....dreamy!
We stayed in the Nieves room with my mobility challenged mother. The room had its own entrance (ramped), a sleeper sofa (with a dreamy tempurpedic mattress) and a roll-in shower. There was a lovely sitting room next door (available for everyone), but we used it as it was just outside the door.
Their service started even before our arrival as they arranged for a parking spot next to the ramp and knew our preferences. Kim met us upon arrival and was just wonderful! She helped us with reservations, city information and made us feel very "at home". She checked up on us from time to time, to make sure we were well taken care of.
Barbara, the morning chef, made our breakfasts to perfection and regaled us with stories from her homeland. The breakfasts were delicious. Desserts were set out in the evenings for us to enjoy in our room and while sitting out on the "front porch" of our room. We did not participate in the 5-6 wine social hour, but Kim made sure to save a glass for us each night to enjoy with our dessert.
The location is excellent, walkable to most places, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful at night. We took the trolley (as my mother isn't as mobile as younger folk) and two trolley stops are very close. This made getting around ever so much easier.
Our only "disappointment" was that we did not have a visit from any of the local spirits....oh well, that just means that we will have to try again at later date!
Wonderful place to stay.....highly recommended.

We again choose Casa de Suenos for our anniversary weekend . This is a quaint B& B in the heart of St Augustines Historic District. It is within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the trolly stop. You can leave your car in their parking lot as you will not need it. We have stayed at this B&B many times and is our choice when we visit St Augustine. There are only 7 rooms which makes our stay very special . The staff is always so helpful and always meets our needs This year we had the pleasure of Kelly, Kathy, Zsanett and very sweet Tina They always make you feel so welcomed . The breakfast is delicious, happy hour is lots of fun and the night pastry is delicious. They even had vegan choices upon request . This is a B&B you will keep coming back to every time you travel to St Augustine you will not be disappointed

We did a lot of research and chose Casa de Suenos for our first visit to St. Augustine. We made the right decision. Perfect location. Friendly people. Delicious breakfast.
The B&B is walking distance to Old Town St. Augustine, but in a quiet area, not on top of the tourist crowd. Parking is tight, but there are enough spots for all 7 rooms.
Tina, our morning breakfast host was hard working and exceptionally friendly. The boxed breakfast, served at socially distanced tables, was tasty and filling.
We stayed in the Castillo room, which was small, but comfortable, clean and cozy. We did have a small leak from under the Juliet balcony door after a short thunderstorm. No damage to our stuff or the room. We told Tina at check out and she said she would have the maintenance person look at it.
Overall a great experience. If we return to St. Augustine we would stay there again.

Hi, thanks for asking. We no longer have late night snacks available at either inn. There is a fresh baked dessert each night. Our guests have access to hot tea , water and coffee 24 hours a day. Thanks for checking!
No, There is not an individual thermostat control in Valencia Room. We have one thermostat which controls the temp in all four second floor rooms, Valencia included. The thermostat is monitored closely by the inn keepers and kept at a moderate temp.
Steve
We allow service dogs only at Casa de Suenos. Our sister inn; the St. Francis Inn, is pet friendly in our first floor accommodations.
I think it was between 8:00 and 10:00
I have 3 whirlpool rooms with separate showers and private balconies. The rate per night on Friday and Saturday is $299, and the rate Sunday through Thursday is $239 per night. I do not have a minimum stay requirement.
If you have any other questions I can be reached at 904-824-0887.
