As you enter this spot, the tropics surround you. We had a studio unit which had a large private courtyard, was close to the pool and large dock. It is like a retreat as it is quiet, simple and very clean throughout the grounds and unit. The staff had recommended we hire the charter captain (Josh) a month in advance... More

Spent several days at the Pirates Point - it was clean, and had internet, cable and a nice "workable" kitchenette, and beautiful pool. The gorgeous landscaping made it truly story-book beautiful! It also has it's own dock, GREAT fishing, and has access to off-islands where you can find lots of sand dollars, coral and shark's teeth!

The Pirates Pointe Resort is true to their advertising. The units all look very clean and well maintained. Small kitchen was equipped with the basic necessities, enough to cook a nice meal and enjoy it. All units have a fairly private outside patio area. However, the bugs were pretty bad at times so enjoying this feature was difficult. The dock... More

What a delightful place to stay! We heard the fishing was great around this area so we loaded up the boat and headed to Pirate's Pointe. The cottages were all updated with tropical furnishings. The kitchens have everything you need, there was even a crockpot! Not to mention very clean. The owner John was super nice and makes you feel... More

When we read the description for Pirate's Pointe as a "fishing camp," we were expecting "rustic." Wow. Upscale kitchen and bath, wifi and cable work perfectly (how often does that happen?) and Jonathan, the host is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The pool and dock are spotless, and Jonathan helped us book a fishing charter which... More

My husband and I were in dire need of a relaxing getaway and I found this resort through Living Social. The description sounded exactly what we were looking for so I bought the deal, he booked the 2 night deal, and off we went. A few reviewers said the area is scarey, not true. You turn off Rt. 41 onto... More

My husband and I came to Pirate's Pointe for a weekend away - only issue was that it rained the entire weekend. That put a bit of a damper on outdoor activities but we managed to enjoy ourselves nonetheless. There are a couple of great vineyards down toward Bradenton and restaurants in nearby Apollo Beach that we visited. The room... More

Wow what a great time we had at PPR. Secluded and quiet with a beautiful pool area. We were lucky enough to have the cottage with its own pool which we loved! At night we walked to the dock area to sit to watch night fall.
