It is a wonderful historic mansion, 11K square feet of beautifully restored space. The hosts are very nice, rooms are unique and clean (and as I told them cleaner than most hotels we stay in), breakfast was great all 3 days and filling. Most of all, it was just peaceful, which is exactly what we were looking for as we hung out on the porch rocking chairs and swing.

This charming B&B is our favorite place to stay when we visit our children in Tallahassee. It is quiet, cozy, and comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail. The owners are extremely hospitable and gracious, and the breakfast is awesome. We love the McFarlin House!!!

We have stayed at the McFarlin house three times and every time it has been wonderful. The hosts are so accommodating and try to make their guests as comfortable as possible. The house is charming and retains a lot of the original tobacco mansion vibe minus the smell of tobacco of course. We are looking forward to our next stay for FSU graduation in May.

The McFarlin House BnB is a beautiful place to visit…. The Owners, Richard & Tina, exemplify what it means to be Hosts of a Bed & Breakfast…. They have a rich knowledge of the history of the House and the surrounding area… And Richard prepares one of the best breakfasts you will ever have… The McFarlin Is like walking through a time portal in Florida’s history and experiencing a time when life was a bit slower, and southern charm and hospitality were the order of the day… Richard took us on a tour of this beautiful historic home… Each room with its own theme, creating an atmosphere of historic charm of its own within the overall grace & charm of the entire House… You could stay at one of the very nice Hiltons or other chains off the interstate, but you would then miss out on what Florida Southern Charm and history are all about…

My wife and I stayed here on my birthday. Totally awesome in every possible way! Richard greeted us upon arrival and the home is just amazing. He and his family have preserved this historic residence with modern touches that make the experience unique without detracting from the home’s heritage. The breakfast Richard prepared and served was the best we’ve experienced in 20+ years of visiting B&Bs for special occasions. Bravo!

What a fun stop on our road trip! It's not everyday you get to stay in a late Victorian home and feel totally spoiled by your surroundings. The house was lovingly restored and the breakfast served under crystal chandeliers is delicious. Innkeeper Richard is happy to answer any/all questions. Modern tiled showers, a comfy bed, and cozy robes were the cherries on top. Make sure to call and book directly with the McFarlin House for the best rate! It's definitely worth the money.

We had a great time. Next time we are going to order some specially offered food items. Every step was the best. We will be back. We were in the Louise room and enjoyed the lights moving through the stained glass windows. But other rooms would have been equally awesome.
