What a fun stop on our road trip! It's not everyday you get to stay in a late Victorian home and feel totally spoiled by your surroundings. The house was lovingly restored and the breakfast served under crystal chandeliers is delicious. Innkeeper Richard is happy to answer any/all questions. Modern tiled showers, a comfy bed, and cozy robes were the cherries on top. Make sure to call and book directly with the McFarlin House for the best rate! It's definitely worth the money.
We had a great time. Next time we are going to order some specially offered food items. Every step was the best. We will be back. We were in the Louise room and enjoyed the lights moving through the stained glass windows. But other rooms would have been equally awesome.
I have stayed at the McFarlin House numerous times and each visit gets better and better. The rooms are unbelievably clean and comfortable. Richard and Tina make it their priority to accommodate your every need and make your stay memorable. They take time to remember your favorite foods, likes and dislikes. it is clear to see that they love their home and continually maintain and preserve its natural beauty and heritage.
Great time as the owners made you feel like family. Our first venture out since Covid19 and our time at this home was wonderful. Richard is so full of knowledge of the historic city Quincy Fl. and of course the beautiful home him & his family have restored. Will visit again in the near future.
My boyfriend and I spent a staycation at the McFarlin House. Everything was excellent - from the hospitality to the food. Our welcome was seamless and warm, the room was so classically "southern colonial," and the breakfast was amazing. Richard and Tina are amazing hosts and we would definitely stay here again!
