This hotel is all everyone says it is and more. Service was top notch. From calling to check in a little early to arriving, finding a clean, large and beautiful room, then the rooftop pool and large towels provided for swimming. And impeccable service at the rooftop bar and restaurant. We had the pool to ourselves, as it is off season and very warm. Sara was very friendly and attentive, serving us drinks and food! She treated us like family. Same the next day with the waitress at the rooftop bar and grill. Can’t remember her name. Breakfast was served in the 88 keys restaurant downstairs. We both had a fruit plate. Very good start to the day. Small restaurant but friendly. Breakfast is an extra charge, just so you’re aware. Housekeeping was hospitable too, and let us see a corner room, as we are looking to stay there in the future with a group of friends. Last of all, David and another David were our front desk hosts. They made every effort to accommodate us. The beds and pillows are of good quality and as comfortable as my own home. I can’t think of a single complaint. They tell us the rooms will be remodeled in September. Looking forward to see how they will improve an already elegant and intimate hotel. Thanks again, Wyvern hotel!…
Room was great! Employee managed to make sure both rooms were on the same floor MAJOR PROBLEM! Could NOT eat on roof top due to the horrific smell of gas, which employees says is always there! We could taste it! THIS MUST BE CORRECTED, last time
What a great place! Great rooms always clean, comfortable and spacious. Very helpful and friendly at the front desk. Close to all the downtown spots and the harbor walk. The rooftop restaurant is a wonderful spot for a drink and sunset view.
I stayed here with my husband and 1 year old daughter while he was in town working. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The waitresses/bartenders from both the bottom floor restaurant and rooftop restaurant were so sweet to my daughter and I. They even delivered lunch to my room to make it easy on me with my hands full with the baby by myself while my husband was working. Couldn’t be happier with my stay! Highly recommend for families.
I always enjoy my stay here, I have been to this hotel several times, friendly staff that go above and beyond, wonderful clean and comfortable room, great food and entertainment. Check in and check out a breeze, thank you for a relaxing weekend getaway!
Charming boutique hotel with a beautiful rooftop pool, piano bar, great food and friendly staff. Did I mention $20 bottomless mimosas and bloodies till noon? Great weekend away and lots to do walking distance from this charming hotel. We will definitely return again soon.
Terrible - Stay away from Choice Hotels. Booked a room with the wrong dates by mistake, called to update the dates and cancel the initial booking. Was told everything was sqaured away and that the hotel manager would be calling me to initiate the refund. Wake up this morning to a $600 charge on my account. You can bet I'll be cancelling my trip in two weeks.
Beautiful room and hotel in great location. The mattress needed to be replaced! Frustrated with a hour and half wait for Sunday brunch. People kept walking out of restaurant. We couldn’t get a lounger by pool because people who were not staying there freely used the pool. The pool should require key access. We felt like there was no management to oversee oroof top bar and pool area.
Great place to stay! Staff was excellent and very welcoming. Food was awesome. Bar and pool area up top was fun and super close to other places to eat and hear live music. Will stay here again. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place.
Our experience this week was shockingly disappointing given the very high price. And the very high ratings. I have always relied on TripAdvisor reviews for places all over the world and now wonder whether I can rely on TripAdvisor reviews in the future. We expected boutique quality and service for over $300 per night. Not at all. I would never go back! It was comparable to Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn at twice the price. In fairness, the location was good, breakfast (not included in exorbitant price) was very good, the staff was nice, if not friendly (all but one had been there two weeks or less), the pool and rooftop bar were lovely - but closed at 9pm!!!! Don’t stay here if you’re expecting value for the high price.
