I organized a couples golf and spa getaway for three couples. We traveled September 9-12, 2021. While the golf was amazing, the hotel left a lot to be desired. To start, our rooms weren't ready when we arrived (which was early and not expected). We were told we could leave our things with bell services, however the valet did not think this was an option and just had us leave our things in our car. Once we got checked into our rooms one a/c didn't work and that couple had to be moved to a different floor. They ended up receiving an updated room where the other two rooms still had not been updated. My room had a hole in the shower tile which was weird but my only complaint. Resort wise, the pool lounge cushions were pretty threadbare and shabby and some of the advertised amenities were either unavailable or sorely overlooked. Honestly, the condition of the mini golf course on property at a golf resort was embarrassing. There were no paths, the borders of the greens were broken and falling apart, there was trash thrown everywhere, and the mosquitos were awful. We bailed after 4 holes. We ate at American Gator Club, Pete & Alice's, and Vernon's. All the food left us wanting more, literally. I understand resort prices will always be higher, but the quality wasn't great, the portions were small, and the prices were high. Lastly, consider adding vending machines to each floor. Walking to Starbucks at 6:00 am to get a water isn't ideal. It does look like they are putting bottle filling stations on the renovated floors, however, we tried it and it still tastes like Florida water (rotten eggs).

Lots of things to do for everyone. The kids stuff looks good. Many options within this hotel - Starbucks, bars, food, pools, outdoor games. Great location and place. The green and the opportunity to hit golf balls to it is pretty cool. I was impressed.

Place is a dump and stain on Marriott. I had friends stay here, and I am a platinum/titanium and have over 400 night with the band. All I can say is that they have access to sawgrass, and why the tour partners with a motel is beyond me. I was embarrassed to recommend it. Their stay was a disaster. The only reason to stay is to get tee times, but how long can sawgrass be beholden to a motel? Just weird.

Another fantastic experience at the Sswgrass Marriott! We've stayed at this property twice a year over the last 10 years. We recently were here for 9 nights and, once again, had an absolutely wonderful time. Not only was it nice to see familiar faces but we also met some friendly new associates. The check-in process with Selena was quick and efficient. We arrived early and were very pleased to be able to get into our room upon arrival. Although some of the restaurants/bars were open limited days/hours (Vernon's bar, American Gator Club), we were thrilled they were open at all. We've stayed at numerous Marriott properties in several states this year and those properties did not have any of their restaurants or bars open. Alice & Pete's was open every day and we had a great time there- huge shout out to Colleen and Alison for their exceptional service! Joy at Vernon's bar and Jensen at AGC were friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. The shuttle to/from the beach/Cabana Club and TPC Sawgrass was always readily available and convenient. The property is easy walking distance to shops/restaurants (Sawgrass Village) but the shuttle will take you there if you don't want to walk. The Fitness Center has a great selection of equipment and was very clean. If you are an Elite member, you can choose the continental breakfast instead of points and then upgrade for a minor charge to get the full breakfast - definitely worth it! The staff at Vernon's for breakfast - Albana. Chris, Dixon, and Aggie - are super friendly. For those who are golfers, you are able to reserve tee times in advance at the Stadium and Valley courses. The Golf shop staff, Brad, Deborah, and Gary, were extremely helpful with the arrangements - many thanks to them for another fantastic golf experience. Overall, we highly recommend the Sawgrass Marriott and plan to return again soon.

Who wouldn’t be fearful about booking a stay at this resort after reading so many of the reviews that precede mine? Our stay is 100% opposite of those. We were greeted by friendly staff everywhere we went. Our room was clean, modern and comfortable. Everything worked as it was supposed to work. The twin beds were very comfortable; the shower was hot and the night was quiet. I wish all my Marriott stays could be like this! Kudos to our check-in lady, Angela. I have some walking difficulty and she gave us a ground floor room facing the pool. We spent two days at the resort and used the pool while we were here. It was not crowded and there were plenty of shaded spots. This mini getaway restored some of our vigor what with COVID being so dominant throughout northeast Florida. Staff wore masks and all protocols were observed. We’ll be back!
