There's some other place in Florida which refers to itself as a magical place. They might even have trademarked the phrase. You know who they are. But the Ponte Vedra Inn is truly where a magical and relaxing experience await. We have been coming here for almost 30 years for family get togethers, always a great experience. You arrive via PV Blvd, beautiful homes on either side. The speed drops to 15 mph as you arrive, contributing to a sense of relaxation.(That goes for the guy in the black GWagen too. You know who you are.Slow it down next time). The staff? They're good, they know they're good, but they want to prove to you they are that good. Courteous, accommodating, and ever helpful. Better than the staff at the Ritz, in my view. The room? On the ocean, walk out the patio and you're there. Recently refurbished, you can see thought was given to the redo. Everything at hand, all intended to make your stay as effortless as possible. The only discordant note is the cheesy Cuisinart coffee maker. Please pitch those and at least a Keurig in every room. Every morning they rake the expanse of beach for you. The food? Amazing. I have never had scrambled eggs as good. What magic does the chef put in? The Friday night prime rib buffet is to die for. And the servers are excellent. Attentive, refilling water and coffee before you can think of it. We had a special dinner Saturday night, and again, excellent food and superb staff. I should avoid saying this is the best in Florida, then everyone will want to come here. Like Yogi Berra said, "It got so crowded nobody goes there anymore." But, to give Ponte Vedra it's due, they are the best.

We have been going to Ponte Vedra Inn & Club for over 40 years & have always enjoyed the accommodations, the restaurants (from the casual snack bar grill to the main Inn restaurant to the gourmet Seahorse Grill (with its huge 2nd floor windows overlooking the ocean), the beach (which is raked clean every morning), to the magnificent pools. The grounds are lush with flowers and are always immaculately maintained. During our recent trip in July, 2023, we had a noteworthy experience. I inadvertently left behind some expensive eyeglasses and jewelry in my nightstand drawer when we returned home. Long story short, an exceptional housekeeper, Javier, found them and turned them in. We are so appreciative of his honesty and consideration. Beyond that (not a small thing in today’s world) Javier took such good care of us: always a smile, courteous, hardworking, he attended to even our most mundane needs. As the owner of a business, we are particularly sensitive to the importance of superior customer service. Javier is tops! Furthermore, this is the kind of service you can expect at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.

Really great stay! Room was clean and service was great. We stayed in the Georgia House on the ground floor. Could walk right out our door onto the beach. I guess my only complaint was that everything is so spread out. However, everything was within walking distance or a short golf cart ride. Or, you can also drive.

First impressions were great, but boy did they go downhill from there. I expected this to be a 5 star luxury resort as I’ve stayed at and positively reviewed a plethora of similar properties globally over the years, but it most definitely is not. The food quality was three stars at best, mostly greasy or overcooked items except when at one of the specialty meals like the Sunday brunch. Every time we sat for a meal or drink, incorrect items were brought to our table, some of which we were charged for after notifying the wait staff every time. I have never felt more nickel-and-dimed in my life at a property of this “caliber.” You are charged a daily resort fee but then are also charged for everything you do other than walk and drink water. The beach chairs are $15/day per chair, umbrellas on top of that. Use of any of the country club facilities are also an additional charge. We were charged a court usage fee for playing croquet. How are these items not included in a resort fee at a hotel like this? Even bikes were an additional charge. Finally, and most importantly for me, I had a completely inexcusable interaction with front desk staff that simply ruined the rest of my stay and will forever sour my opinion of this hotel. Upon check in, I provided a credit card for anything charged to the room yet apparently due to either human or system error it did not collect the information. A full day into our stay, I received one of the most rude voicemails I’ve ever received from the front desk informing me that since “I did not provide a credit card (which was false)”, I “will be unable to access my room” until I do and that coming to the front desk and providing one was the only way I would be permitted to “continue my stay.” Mind you, the room had been prepaid in full. This threatening tone after an error on the part of the hotel is inexcusable, and they even sent a beach cabana boy to tell us he couldnt charge our beach chairs, that we were already sitting on, until I went back to the front desk. The manager offered a verbal apology but that simply just didn’t cut it.

The resort is well run, amenities are good. Service is good. The price of the rooms is very expensive and on top of that you have to pay extra to get a chair and umbrella to sit on the beach, or ride a bike, etc. Everything is an extra cost. Then they add a resort fee on top of the already high prices for the rooms, not disclosed when you make the reservation of course, which makes no sense because you have to pay extra to sit on a beach chair or do anything other than sit by the pool. These folks do a great job of extracting as much money as possible from their guests.

From the moment we checked in, all staff members greeted us with kindness and professionalism. From Housekeeping to the Bell staff, all associates went above and beyond to make our honeymoon an everlasting memory. The staff delivered anticipatory service, for example, our In Room Dining Server offered to have our beach rentals set up since we spoke about enjoying the beach for the day. The simple act was greatly appreciated as it eliminated any questions or effort we had to make. The quality of the products offered in the room and in all F&B outlets throughout the resort was recognized and appreciated. Star Staff - Nick - F&B Supervisor - Seahorse Grill Eileen - Banquets & Many More

We are on our final day of a four night stay. We were here for business for a conference. It is a beautiful facility. The grounds and golf course are beautiful. The beach is one of the prettiest that I have seen in the US. Service has been wonderful. Many of the rooms have balconies or patios that open to the beach. We originally were placed in a room with a partial ocean view with no balcony and windows that could not be opened so we couldn’t even hear the water. Since we did not buy our rooms, they were purchased by our organization that was hosting the conference, I was unaware that they had paid for the full ocean view room. I went to reception without knowing this and asked if we could be moved. I explained that coming from an landlocked state, we don’t often get to enjoy the sea and that we find it soul nourishing. They tried but couldn’t move us that evening and told me to come back the next day. We debated staying in our first room because it was lovely. However when I mentioned it to our host she informed me that they had paid for the full view. So I went to reception our second day and asked if they had anything, without mentioning that we should have been in an ocean view room from the beginning. They again kindly worked to find us another room. We were moved within half an hour to another lovely room with a balcony. Every employee has been courteous. Sandra who is one of the people who have been helping with our meals was a server extraordinaire. Our first lunch I ordered 1/2 sweet 1/2 unsweetened tea. The next day as they were preparing lunch for part of our group, she found me and told me that she had already prepared my tea. When I told her I was unfortunately not eating there she made it to go for me and got drinks for others in our group to take with us. I would describe the resort as a clean and luxurious place with a kind attentive staff.

Ponte Vedra Inn and Club 200 Ponte Vedra Blvd Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida Where do I begin? Saying why this property is one of the gems we have enjoyed? First, the overall property is beautiful, but more importantly, so are the people. I loved the "Yes We Can" attitude. Such a lovely Inn on the coast which lets you enjoy the shoreline while having a meal or a drink and or just lounging on the beach. Now the essential part of this review is the staff. I am sure I will miss someone but let me say we did not meet one person who wasn't helpful. The hard part is not mentioning someone who was helpful. I want the management to realize how fortunate they are to have all these folks on the team. Here are the Rock Stars: Alisa Hurt - National Sales Mgr. I will say without her, this event would have never been planned. She is such a professional, and Yvonne and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. Rachel Tudor, Conference Manager. She was so critical in helping with the events. Making sure everything was just right for our people. Graham Eric - Front Desk Eileen Concierge Valet – Kyle, Will. Everyone was helpful. Golf Club Dining - Henrietta Wait Staff Emelie Todd Eileen Basel Eddy Fran Hostess- Michaela Owen Chef and Grill Master House Keeping was great, and our room always looked fresh. Again a big Thank You, Yvonne and Don Varney

Stayed on Black Friday following a surprise proposal on the beach. What a wonderful experience from start to finish. First shout out to brandy in reservations for helping me secure a fabulous room with early check in all with a lovely shining personality. Matthew the concierge helped plan every step of our stay and my proposal from arranging flowers and a bottle of dom to await us in our room to securing lunch reservations and resort access for the proposal itself. I see why you guys are a 5 diamond resort. Everyone from the front desk to the bell hops and room service waiters were top notch. Lunch at the golf club and drinks at The tavern were a wonderful experience as well. I have been in the hospitality industry my whole life and providing a completely seamless experience is no easy task. Bravo and hats off to each of you.
