We stayed at the two bedroom penthouse suite. The room is truly falling apart. The smell is awful, the furniture is falling apart, tiles are cracked, door key rarely worked. The view is amazing and it’s close to the beach. The pool and staff are great. Make sure you know what type of room you are reserving. Our friends stayed at a newly remodeled room and it was beautiful.

Stayed at The Sands Harbor Hotel with friends and family and absolutely loved it!! The location couldn’t be better, right on the intercostal waterway with a beautiful boat marina and the beach is just across the street. The room was completely updated, very pretty and clean. The view was unbelievable and was well worth the price of the room. The staff was kind and actually went out of their way to help us from the time we arrived to the time we checked out. We happened to stay a whole week so we ate at all the restaurants and I have to say I have not one complaint. The food was excellent in all 3 restaurants. Where else can you stay in south Florida and get 3 restaurants all on the hotel property. I can’t wait to go back and have the lobster bisque and crab crusted Mahi again. All of the food was superb!!! If your a local in the pompano beach area and haven’t tried the restaurants or the tiki bar, it’s a must!!

When you arrive you are given a parking pass. However, they cater more to their bar/restaurant than hotel guest because they make the hotel parking lot a valet lot only for the bar/restaurant guests. If you leave in the evening then there will be no parking when you return. If by some chance you find a parking spot, the valet employees threaten that you will be towed or ticketed for not using valet. The king size bed in room 302 had a 20 degree tilt to the left. I had to stuff many pillows under the mattress to keep from rolling off the bed at night. This was the mattress not the wooden base. The shower would not fully turn on. The hot water tank out in 11 minutes. There appears to be a small hot water heater in the room. Good Luck going to bed at a decent time on this side of the hotel. The windows to the balcony are so cheap that you can hear the servers conversations three stories down. Then there is the issue of live bands and music played through the speakers at the bar. This went on till 11 pm,good luck if you are getting up early. It's so loud that it sounds like the speakers are in the room with you.

Absolutely horrible disgusting rooms extremely moldy and outdated. Then got up to see they closed pool due to renovations but never advised us or informed us about this when we booked our stay there. Never would recommend this place at all and never would we go back there. Actually left there 2 days earlier than planned. Totally disgusted and was extremely disappointed there! Management did nothing to try to make anything better.

We checked in last night, was tired from travelling. Our first room the tv didn't work, the second room the ac didn't work, so we were moved three times!! We checked out this morning only to see an additional charge on our cc for $16.20 so we called and were told there is a $15 parking fee!! We were NEVER told about that at check in, the parking lot is very small and torn up terribly yet they charge this and don't tell you. I shared an elevator with an unmasked prostitute that had just finished her business, she actually told me laughing as we walked out to the shady parking lot together, her ride was parked there waiting for her. We travel ALOT but will NEVER stay at this hotel again!!
