We had a wonderful breakfast at the Marriott resort Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Hotel. Our server, I believe her name was Gielela, was just outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure that we had everything we needed. We’ve had her several times during our stay, and find her to be simply delightful. I would recommend staying in the north tower as there is construction going on next to the south tower.

Front desk was spectacular. So accommodating and friendly. Especially Shateek. He was so great annd fun. and the best front desk I’ve seen for Marriott. Recognized my ambassador level and awarded an amazing room and spin the wheel for a big win. Great experience with hotel and staff.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights mid-March. We arrived early and were greeted by Dyessia at the front desk. She leaves a great first impression, being friendly and helpful. Our room was ready well before check-in time. The complimentary water each day was a nice touch. Our room was clean and spacious with a nice view of the Atlantic sunrise every morning. The bed was quite comfortable. All of the employees we encountered were great. It was so nice to have chairs at the beach, and to top it off, there was beverage service at the beach! There was plenty of seating area around the 2 pools. I especially want to call out Nicole at the front desk. She is so happy and friendly and seems to love her position. Nicole is a great front desk Marriot ambassador. The valets, Francisco and Mike, were so friendly, calling us by name, and always offering directions if we needed them. We had one small issue in our room, and Arda, the evening supervisor/manager resolved the problem and made up for the inconvenience. We will definitely stay here the next tme we come to Pimpani Beach

Hotel was very clean, staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and hotel amenities were family friendly. A few people to call our, Gisela was wonderful and so caring for my 2 year old daughter at breakfast. William was attentive and super helpful with lunch and drinks on the pool deck and Shateek was very helpful at check-in.

I had such high hopes for this resort, however my hopes were quickly crushed. The staff are having to constantly fix problems caused by a poorly run hotel. This is not a resort. It is a sad, broken down, beat up hotel. The staff are trying their best but when there are so many numerous issues with the hotel where to begin? Upon arrival my daughter and I were told that our room was not ready although I had received an email to the contrary with a room number after I requested an early check in. An employee went into an office and all of a sudden our room, since I had the number was ready. We were to receive 3 breakfasts tickets, as I paid for them and 2 drink tickets. I received 2 breakfast tickets and no drink tickets. We went to our room after riding the one of the two very small elevators that both guests and staff use. After looking out our ocean view aka crane neck to see ocean but you could really see the parking lot and the hotel next door. At the end of the evening, I pulled the comforter back as I planned to only use the sheet since the comforters are not washed regularly. I was shocked and appalled at what I saw. See attached photo. On the comforter there is a splatter of liquid that could be blood, food, or heaven knows what, but definitely should not be in there. I immediately call downstairs and ask for the manager. I am told the manager is not there. I request the bedding changed immediately. Aranda (supervisor on call) came up and was very helpful and concerned. I expressed my significant concern and disgust. He moved us across the hall to a ocean view room, with comforters free of liquids. Additionally, he said we would receive a $50 credit as we had already paid for breakfast. After breakfast the next day I requested to speak to the manager but to no avail. I did speak to Nicole, who was able to provide me my missing drink tickets, and breakfast ticket. She did inform me that the $50 had not been added to my account but she did that. I also requested a late check out as our flight was late in the day btw late check out was 12 versus 11. The bathroom is in significant need of repair. It is or should be an embarrassment. The bathroom doors are devoid of the bottom and the towel rack is falling off the wall. These issues are likely caused by the lack of a fan in the bathroom. There is significant humidity in Florida alone but then you add a steamy shower and well that is what happens. Be forewarned, none of the online menus are accurate. The beach menu does not exist. Significant prices differences and options. From the prior reviews I am aware that a large amount of money will be funneled in for remodeling of the hotel. However, if there is no upkeep and follow through the same issues will happen again. This should be a lovely resort, but it does not meet the Marriott standards at all.

Spent 2 nights at the Marriott Pompano Beach, small hotel but the beach location is perfect. Everyone we encountered was more than helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our room was ocean view in the North Tower. I had read reviews stating the entire hotel was dated, dirty etc but we had no issues (the rug was little worn but didn't bother us). One issue I did run into, was the valet parking fees. I knew before arriving we'd be paying a daily valet fee and I have no issue with that. The valet employees were fantastic. Once we got home I reviewed our hotel charges and noticed that we were charged the valet fee (plus valet tax) 2 times for each night, an overcharge of $73. I called and left a message with no return call back. Called again and opened a dispute, waited for a refund and nothing. Called a third time and was told the dispute was resolved stating the management spoke to the valet supervisor and was told that we were charged 2 times each night because we had 2 cars. We did not. Still waiting (impatiently) for a return call back and/or a refund for the overcharge. Be sure to check your charges before you check out.

Cost saving measures are apparent. Diminished the quality of our stay. The size of the frozen drinks has shrunk, despite the price increasing. No more free umbrellas on the beach, leaving no choice but to pay the $25 or bake in the sun. The poolside loungers around the perimeter have all been turned into private rentals. This leaves an insufficient number of loungers for the guests. This has forced the guests to arrive early to claim chairs with towels, even though they may not use them until the afternoon. Our room was clean, however, a barn door was installed for the bathroom. What a ridiculous choice for a room needing privacy. It was loud, difficult to move and impractical. Only one night stand had charging capability. The other side of the bed had no night stand charger, nor even an outlet nearby. The breakfast buffet was good. Having the option of an omelette station suited us well, even though it was not operating the last two days we were there. The Staff remains attentive and very pleasant. We have been guests at this location about five times. They have a great beach and pool area but they’ve limited their guests ability to enjoy them. Unfortunately, this will have been our last visit.
