I treated myself with two nights by the beach for my 60th birthday. The room in which I stayed was almost right on the beach! Just a few steps away. It was very clean and I had two big windows with a beautiful view. I enjoyed going down to the beach for long walks and to watch the sunrise. The only thing I did not enjoy was that when I wanted to seat and relax in the area just outside the room, there were a lot of people smoking int the same area so I could't do that for so long. This is the only reason why I am giving it 4/5.
We checked in for two nights and decided to spend four nights, little Resort Mom and Pop and it is older but it is charming and the staff is exceedingly helpful. The owner is gracious and takes care to maintain the older property. We booked a Queen size bed because that was availability but the delightful Amanda at the front desk was helpful in arranging a change of room with a king size bed for us. For sure we will be returning to Ebb Tide Resort.
Been coming to ebb tide for the past 17 years 5 - 6 times a year. We love it. Nice rooms, nice pool and beautiful beach. Karen is the best does not feel like a commercial hotel but feels like we are staying with family. The bad thing about this trip is when we have to leave. But we will be back next month for another week.
This is the second time I have stayed at the Ebb Tide in the last six months as it is convenient to everything there is to do in Pompano Beach. Just steps from the beach, and although it is not fancy, it is clean and well maintained and has a pool, and it doesn't have fancy prices either! I will definitely be back for a third visit soon!
We have been staying here for years. We grew up here and this one of few hotels that brings us back to our childhood. Not the mega hi-rise but the small locally run beach front hotel reminiscent of wonderful times past when life was simple, safer and fun. We have already have booked reservations for next year!
Check in was smooth ,nice and fast. We were told will be having a towels replacement next day. That never happened. Pool bathroom with code lock never worked. Rooms rally need TLC. Dresser’s drawers bend over. Bathroom toilet slanted because wood floor was old enough to make it bouncing , toilet gap was filled only with caulking which only make it unsafe to use it. Bed comforter with holes. Tv cable box hanging behind the dusty TV. Kitchen utensils and cookware very limited , no paper towel. Check out was good and Ariel kindly listened to our negative experience during our staying Memorial Weekend. He apologized for the inconvenience saying that the resort was going to be remodeled and be updated next week. It will be a really nice MotelResort if administrators take care of facilities.…
So we went here for our anniversary walking up you don't really know what to expect because the price is not pocket breaking so the idea of you get what you pay for don't seem to work our weekend ended up costing 600$ for the room for the weekend an both I and the wife agree that was money well spent so when we got the room we didn't really do much exploring inside we dropped our stuff an went out which I kind of wish we had checked the kitchen they had dishes pots pans plates cups and all that good stuff it would have been nice to have a home cooked meal on the beach so there are a few things to know if you don't have a car there are alot of places you can get to on the bus if you don't Wana blow money on Uber it's about a 4 min walk to the bus stop and they come every 30min if you go to the stop at the Walgreens you will see iguanas an basalisc lizards sun basking during the day from the bus stop it's a 5min ride to McDonald's Starbucks and Burger King if you chose to stay closer to the hotel you have worlds best to crepes both the husband and wife are French and make amazing crepes I suggest the canabal it's for real meat lovers the wife had strawberry banana and Nutella which was also good, across the street from that is aromas de Peru and the food there was delicious one of my favorite places was the Irish pub at the corner they had good bar food and strong drinks the ladies who work there are nice as well, we did deep sea fishing in fort Lauderdale for 175$ for 4 hrs which was also great anyway weather you are trying to hit the fine eateries the pubs sun bath on the beach or fish from the docks this is a great place to be my first time here was amazing and it won't be the last next time we are bringing the family…
Awesome view, right on the beach. If you get bored on the beach you can relax by the great pool. Doesn't get much better especially for the price. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. Free parking right outside the resort's doors.
My husband, teenaged daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights in May and loved it. Our room was spacious and clean. Bathroom had a bit of mold in corners of shower, but with the level of humidity in Florida, I think that may be common. It was very clean without the usual damp bathroom smell that we've had in many other places. Staff was friendly and helpful. I've seen comments in these reviews that complain about "no shampoo" or other missing items, but honestly, if you just ask at the desk, they will give you anything you need. We asked for a hair dryer and ice cube trays and were given the items immediately. Ice trays were brand new in the package. They also have beach chairs and large umbrellas for $5 each with was a Godsend for the beach! The location was fantastic with ability to walk to shops and restaurants. Lauderdale by the Sea is a short drive down the same road with lots going on. Be sure to look for the jewelry store there run by a older Italian woman and her chatty friends who sit in front of store and have parrots in the back- floor to ceiling jewelry with new and consigned jewelry organized by colors and types. You could get lost for hours. The atmosphere was awesome... tables under pavilion overlooking beach, shuffleboard, volleyball net on the beach, pool, coy pond, scenic palm trees on beach for pictures- even tables out on the beach to sit and have morning coffee or lunch. My teenaged daughter was in Instagram heaven. The only strange thing was that on Sunday there was no one in the front office, and when we called the number (posted in window for when they are not in office) we had to leave a message, which was not returned right away. But I'm guessing this is a family run business and perhaps it's tough to have 24 hour coverage. I would advise to be aware of the office hours and plan accordingly. We really loved this place!…
We have stayed here for the past 5 years. Sometimes twice a year. Even was a Guest during Covid. Very quiet and clean. A few steps away from the Beach, lovely park, restaurants, and shopping. Will continue to vacation here in the years to come.
