We have stayed here several times and this was our first trip since we retired and moved into another state. We brought our 2 granddaughters for their first beach stay away from their parents (aged 8 and 10). Our room was a deluxe 2 room suite complete with a full kitchen and dishwasher. Our gulf front view was superb and we were on the 2nd floor. The main room was very large and had comfortable furniture. Despite being directly above the pool, it was very quiet due to excellent soundproof windows. The grounds are beautiful and the pool area is always clean. Scott, their maintenance man has been there for as long as I can remember. He starts early in the morning and hoses everything down. He often washes the gutters and waterline tile of the pool. Believe the pictures of the clear pool water. It actually is prettier than the pictures indicate. It is a short walk to the gulf waters and the excellent beach. When returning, there is a shower to remove the sand. Very convenient and just nicely arranged. I know the owners and recognized Rick when we checked in. His daughters are generally on site and someone in the family stays at the motel each night. It is a joy to see dedicated people maintaining the best family owned hotel on the beach. Parking can be a challenge if you want to be on the gulf side of the road. The city is doing work at the "Y" and it will eventually be a roundabout. Our granddaughters loved the beach and pool! They are very accomplished swimmers and both the gulf and the pool kept them busy for the 5 days. There is sufficient chairs and loungers around the pool. There are several pavilions with BBQ gas grills along with a bar at one of them. The pavilions are located on each side of the property. One one side there are a few games and also a shuffleboard court. Simply hard to beat for the location, cleanness, and kind owners. They have found a formula that makes the Palmetto Inn and Suites the best on the beach.…
We have been staying at the Palmetto on and off now for about 18 years. We always stay on the Beachside in a room with a full kitchen. On our recent stay we had a family emergency and had to leave 3 days early. I was heartbroken because I really enjoy my stay every year. Management was very considerate and thoughtful when we checked out. Thankfully everything is fine and now I've booked to come back Labor Day weekend! So excited!
Best bang for your buck in PCB, great value. This is not a 5star resort but I’ve very clean and the pool is one of the best in PCB. Will be back for sure! We stayed on the North side and the rooms were a little tired but again, for the money it was awesome.
The Hotel was exceptional! It was new and very clean and comfortable! The staff was sufficient and professional! Lastly, the breakfast was a spread, the cooks did an Amazing job catering to the hotels guest!
We stayed on the side across from the beach. It was very easy to walk to the beach. Very family friendly. Both pools were very nice. The rooms were clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. The staff was also friendly.
Worst experience I've ever experienced while on vacation. We have spent the last four years visiting this location for our Memorial Day weekend/week holiday. On our second day here my children asked for ice cream (the hand scooped kind) and because it was after 9PM, there was a sign that said if we needed assistance, to ask the front desk. Well, we did as such, and instead of getting any assistance, we were told that sign shouldn't be there, the employee proceeded to walk over and flip the sign on its face, and walk back over to the front desk with no assistance. The next day, we (family of 7) ran out of towels, and we had our son go ask the front desk for some. Instead of getting bath towels, they proceeded to tell him to get the towels out of the outside beach towel slot. My brother that just so happening to be staying across the street in the other building has had to deal with the smell of marijuana and cigarettes since their first night here, mind you, of a family with young children that DO NOT SMOKE. Then today, while enjoying my 27th birthday on the patio, three young children of my family were screaming over the balcony 20 feet from us 6 adults, because there were fireworks going off down the beach and an individual claiming herself to be the owner, proceeded to whisper unknown things to our children. Of course it's probably the fact that our children were screaming, but instead of speaking to any one of the six adults that were 20 feet away from the three young children, she decided to whisper to our young children. We have taught our children to not speak to strangers. Instead of addressing the situation like an adult and asking us to handle our children she went about it in the worst possible way anyone could have. For being an owner of a business, you choose to whisper into our children's ears than to speak to the present adults? When confronting her about whispering to our children and asked for her to stop talking to the children and to talk to us, she continued to whisper to the children and ignore us. If you are the owner of a business you should know better than to whisper to one's child, you should know that accommodating your guests for their best experience should be your number one priority. Between me and my family, we spent on the upper hand of almost $7000 for our stay with THIS BUSINESS for not only you to ruin my birthday, and my children's happiness, but my entire vacation stay.…
I always love finding a family owned and operated hotel and this one did not disappoint. We came here for a 3 night family visit. For the price I actually expected less but got a whole lot more-- Rooms were immaculately clean. Maid service with towel exchange daily. Our room had a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and an oceanfront living room/kitchen combo including a dining room table, 2 tvs and a sofa bed and chair with foot stool. Bathroom was spotless and fresh. For an older hotel they are impressive. The best part--- we arrived early on Friday morning and they allowed us to check in early by 10:30am as the room had just been cleaned I have been to alot of resorts/hotels and rarely find anyone anymore willing to let you check in early. Pool and deck was also spotless. I have to say this place was one of a very few that I have ever felt like I could walk around the pool and room with no shoes and not cringe. I will return when in Panama City Beach.…
We recently stayed 3 days. Had an amazing time. The rooms on the gulf side are great, a lot of room for the whole family. Very clean and the staff was wonderful. All rooms on the gulf side are ocean view. Pool area very clean. I will definitely be back next year.
FANTASTIC: on quiet, western side of PCB (1.5 miles from pier). Walkable to Winn-Dixie and 4 restaurants. VERY clean, huge room, 2 heated pools, hot tub, free towels&coffee, grills, covered areas, friendly staff, small bar, beach access with washing stations
After not getting to travel for 2 years, we finally enjoyed a long awaited FANTASTIC vacation at the Palmetto Inn and Suites!!! As we walked in our 7th floor room, we were greeted by a fresh, clean room!!! I love the fact that the bedding toppers as well as the linens are all completely washable now!!! Kitchen was sparkling clean and fully stocked with all we needed as far as cookware and utensils! Although they do not guarantee a particular room number when reserving a room, they do note requests. We always ask for the highest room possible, and they have always accommodated our request!!! We have been staying at the Palmetto since 2007, in our opinion it is just as good if not better than the first time we stayed. The staff is so accommodating, rooms and lobby are very clean, the pool and hot tub are sparkling as they are cleaned early every morning!!! No problems at all with the furnished Wi-Fi. The addition of furnished beach towels was also a big plus for us this trip!!! We love that it is so close to Winn Dixie, CVS, The Sandbar and Hungry Howies!!! There is also an Alvin’s and Sunsations beach/gift shop west of the hotel on Ft Beach Rd. Thomas Donuts is also less than 2 miles to the west. Pier Park is about a mile and a half east of the hotel, but was not a pleasant walk at this time due to all of the road and sidewalk construction going on just east of the Palmetto on Front Beach Rd. We were very happy it didn’t affect the Palmetto at all!!! We always choose a room on the Beach side. There are rooms offered at a reduced price on the north side across the street, but we love sitting on our balcony each morning watching and listening to the ocean. I could go on but I think the fact that we have returned to the Palmetto, and that we plan to continue to stay with them is all that needs to be said!!…
