Our annual fall trip to the Palmetto was great as usual even with Delta churning in the gulf. The motel was nice and clean as always. The room was clean and ready when we arrived. The front desk help could have been more friendly at arrival but it was easy to check in. The pool guys and maid service was excellent. The only complaint that we had and should be corrected is they have put scald water protectors on the tub/showers. These need to be adjusted where you can get warmer water if you want. You can only turn the water temperature to halfway to the hot water side. The faucets are normal. This needs to be fixed because you pay for warm water. That was our only bad experience we had with the stay. We will be back in the spring!!
We used to stay at gulf shores but their prices have tripled in the last years. This place is amazing!!! It’s so clean and spotless and affordable. This is my favorite spot now and in 3 months I’ve been back twice that’s a 7hr drive we may do next month to come back! Best place ever! Amazon service too!
Very clean shower is great with hot water. We stayed across the street bc we booked last minute. The parking is right by the room. The pool and Jacuzzi were clean. The Jacuzzi was amazing. It was not crowded when we went. The best part is the beautiful beach. The water warms up around 3 to 4 o clock bc it was colder when we went at the beg.of oct but worth the wait bc then u can see the beauitful sunset over the gulf. The rates are reasonable for what u get.
This trip and stay to the Palmetto was a little different for the wife and I. Usually we rent cars and take the entire family. This time it was just the wife and I flying in and staying the week. Palmetto offers free shuttle service to and from the airport if you stay with them. $50/$100 savings at least. Tip your drivers because they are great. Check-in was easy and in our room 20 minutes after landing! If you are of the older side of life and just a little fearful of stepping out of your comfort zone.. this is the place to do it folks.. We rented a room with full kitchen / beach side with balcony. Well worth the extra. Grocery store is located right across the street. stocked up the first day and was set. NOTHING more beautiful than watching the sun set from the Palmetto private beach and snacking on munchies and drinks. I am telling you... this can be a trip for folks not wanting to spend a lot on money and just want to get away to a beautiful / safe / almost like home hotel.. Family owned since the 70's and talked to an employee who has been there 30 years.... That DOES not happen in todays world unless the ownership is doing something right = taking care of guest and taking care of their staff. There was not one little thing that we requested like extra towels/ razor / later check out due to flight out time that was not met with a smile. Trust yourself and trust Palmetto to make it a trip of a life time. Trolley stop right in front, $4 unlimited per day Driver STEVE on #7 is the best!. Went to the pier one day. Restaurants for dinner & Thomas Donuts. YOU dont need to rent a car if you just go outside your comfort zone a little. Palmetto is the place to make this happen. 7th stay and planning the next already....…
