Palm Grove in Panama city was the worst place we ever stayed! Pictures do not match. Bugs! Leaking sink! Rude! Fighting to get a refund...on the 2 nights that we could not stay. Also got charged for 2 keys that were turned in. Sad!

Where do I start, so we get there to check in the lady at the desk had no clue about nothing said I had to pay a key deposit of $100 ok so I did in cash, after about 45 mins of her trying to find our room... she finally gets it 🙌 but them said she couldn't show us where it was at bc she didn't know nothing about this place them she stated she doesn't even work their. Lol. Anyways we get to our room and it's so NASTY I will leave pictures so u can see for ur self, the air was broke also needless to say we ended up staying in our car bc of the filth, we called the front and we were suppose to be waiting to another room and that never happened, all the sudden there wasn't anyone at the office anymore. The next morning their was a note that read if u have questions go to the reef so we went to the reef and they got us in a room but honestly it wasn't much better. Never got a refund that I was promised either never got my cash deposit back bc the manager at reef said that in the computer it said I didn't pay a key deposit.. like what the hell. I will post palm grove pics and then the reefs pics! This was just a bad bad trip nobody has contacted us to resolve our issue either! SO DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The white tub and the white toilet was at the reef!!! The others were palm grove! I have more but it wouldn't let me upload them.…

Don’t stay here! The place smelled like sewage, we had to go to another location to check in, the pool was so cloudy you couldn’t see the steps into it, it was closed one day and then opened but with no change, there was garbage and cigarette butts all over the pool deck, the traffic was very loud all night long, the place was just dirty and needs some work! I overpaid a lot (even after asking to leave, but since I blind booked through a third party - SNAPTRAVEL—they wouldn’t give me a refund, so we sucked it up and stayed!). The only good thing was the beach was close by and amazing! The girl who checked us in was very nice too. Spend your money somewhere else!

We just took a short trip to Panama city beach Fla. but we truly enjoyed ourselves we stayed at the Palm Grove motel the staff was very friendly the room was nice we will be going back again to this motel. There are some reviews that are not good about this motel but we didnt have a bad experience with this place at all and the price was very reasonable I personally like the older motels they are so quaint to me. I would like to say Thank you to the staff yall were awesome.

This hotel is extremely outdated, rotten boards on deck, you have to go down the road to another hotel to check in this hotel same owners, we did not get a balcony as we were suppose to, we had a pet and the charge was 100 dollars we were not aware of, trash all around, our room did not even have a number on it, no management on site, very small air conditioner to cool three rooms, one tv only, no internet. The only two good things I could say about this place is it is on the beach and you do not have to get in your car to go anywhere...location is good. Our dog was scared to go upstairs so we asked for a lower room and we’re told it was booked through booking.com so we could not change rooms. Could not get a receipt at checkout because their printer not working and the pool wasn’t in use, you had to go down the road to their other hotel to use their pool....overall...stay somewhere else…

There is no check in on site you have to drive down to The Reef hotel. Check in was good the employees were nice and gave us a late check out, 11am. The room must have been under renovation and was pretty sparse with dirty floors. We didn’t complain because we really just needed a bed and shower. The next day while on the beach we received a call from the motel saying we needed to come get our bags. It was 10am. We explained we had a late checkout. We asked if we could just leave the key in the room and they told us to have it down at the Reef in 14 minutes or we would lose our 100 dollar deposit. They were really rude. The place has potential but they need to get rid of some of the staff and not rent out rooms in the process of renovation.

This is a very low budget hotel. Front window held in place with duct tape, main door forced open multiple times and damage obvious. Once I got past those issues, the room was clean and I did not see any bugs. The refrigerator worked and was also clean. Bathroom shower head is at about 4'10". Other big complaint is only 1 key per room. This was a problem since 3 of us were sharing a room that could sleep 6. Checking in is done at the sister hotel and no staff on site. Overall if I had done the booking for this trip, we would have spent a few more dollars for more modern rooms. The rooms were clean and adequate though.

First you have to get your key down the road. No biggie but inconvenient. Next we notice glass all over the ground from the broken window of our room where they taped it up and left the mess. Room smelled like wet socks, probably because the window unit was full of mildew. THEN the dresser was housing a COLONY of roaches. We spent the first few hours killing them as they came in and out of the dresser. We had asked for a new room and waited about 3 hours for maintenance to bring a key. The new room had so much sand and crackers all over the floor. But, the kicker was the flies and tiny fungus beetles in the bed. We had made the reservation for 3 days but obviously decided to check out. They refused to refund us saying Florida has bugs. Florida has sand. I get it... I live in coastal Alabama but THIS was not an acceptable interaction with bugs and sand. The one star is because I can't give it 0. This star will be because its beachfront. Stay away.…

We stayed at the Palm Grove 9/23-9/26/21. They have gotten a lot of bad reviews on here but we were very pleased. If you are used to staying at 5 star resorts, fancy condos, etc. this place is not for you. If you want a weekend get away, where you can take your dog, that's clean, on the beach, very reasonably priced, and in a great location you may just enjoy it like us! I love that this is one of the old places in PCB they have cleaned up instead of demolishing for yet another monster high rise. It is not fancy but clean. There are 2 levels, we got a bottom floor room which was very convenient for walking our dog. It was a beach view room...good sized room with a kitchenette (sink, microwave, refrigerator, stove & oven); two full size beds, and an entertainment center/hutch where we kept our clothes. No closet to hang clothes but no big deal to us, we used a bottle of wrinkle release:) I did call first to make sure our dog was ok to bring with us. Most places only allow dogs under 15 pounds. We took our 65 pound dog. The room above us had a German Shepard. And I saw 2 more medium size dogs. We were all careful to make sure our dogs didn't bark and walked them away from the building. I hope they continue to allow dogs! NOTE: there is no front office here. You check in right down the road at Seahaven. We never had any complaints but I am guessing you go here if you have any. Last thing, the location is great. We could easily walk to restaurants, a convenience store, and souvenir store. This was a long, detailed review but I hope it helps someone!…

We paid $687 for 3 nights (tues-fri), normally cheaper nights for hotels, and the quality of the room did not match price at all. First, the door was hard to open for the entrance, the bathroom door was hard to close, toilet clogged twice, (we're adults and know how to use a toilet, wasn't our fault), no microwave, (yes we booked room with one) the refrigerator did not work, the freezer worked as defrost mode, it was cool, didn't freeze the first night, was frozen all of second day, and then back to cold but not freezing temperatures, (nothing wrong with gasket, no the door wasn't left open and the correct setting was set), the small ac window unit that was new apparently worked the same way as freezer even though it was set at 68 with no timer and we didn't run in during the day because we weren't there during daylight hours. We turned it off when we left there after first night, turned it back on at 8 pm, around 1 am it showed it was still on, not on a timer, and it was NOT frozen, just wasn't blowing anymore. We had to turn it off and back on and it worked again. Ridiculous, same thing happened the next night. The sliding back doors had bathroom curtains hanging over them, the curtains didn't even cover the whole opening, so the light they had for the pool area just shined into our room all night. The floors were new but filthy with sand which we excused because well, we are on a beach however sand doesn't turn your feet black. There was a big mirror on the wall that was hanging crooked, big time, couldn't adjust it correctly without tools and well that ain't our job. The picture of the room we booked and the detailed listing showed & read that we had a dining table with chairs and that dish/cookware was provided... it was not provided (we had a coffee mug, a spoon, a fork, and 3 rinky dink plates) and we had one chair, no table. We had a hard time getting new towels even though we turned in the dirty ones. Check in is half a mile up the road, everyones check in time is 4-6 and that front desk staff is responsible to check-in 3 or 4 different hotels. Half of the customers rooms were not ready, they only had one lady working the front desk at first, she was RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL, then a second lady came to help thankfully, i don't think she was rude but i barely heard her speak. I only said thankfully because finally the line was moving faster. We waited 30-40 mins to check in. The only thing palm grove had going for it was the BEACH!! Serious attention SEAHEAVEN, palm grove is bringing you down, i don't know about the other places you own, but get rid of palm grove or i STRONGLY ADVISE you put A TON of money into the place but while you're at it, like i said your front desk service is no good either, so replace them! Finally, one more thing, the deposit said 10 DOLLARS PER ACCOMMODATION would be charged at properry BUT 40 DURING SPRING BREAK. It was not spring break and well at first I thought maybe 10 was a typo when the clerk said i owed 100 for security deposit but the odds of 40 being a typo as well is rather misleading!…
