Driftwood Lodge is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico. A large shady palm lined courtyard wraps around our beachfront heated pool and sundeck. The courtyard is where our guests find themselves making new and often lifelong friends. Throughout the year there are planned activities, ranging from cook-outs and sunset parties to Easter Egg Hunts and other children's games. Pier Park shopping and entertainment district is located within easy walking distance.

Excellent place, very clean. We go back every year, same week, same room. Everyone is so nice and we love the mom and pop joints. Oceanfront and they also have 2 pools and hot tub. Some people we met have been going here for over 40 years.

I have been staying at the Driftwood Lodge since I was 2 yrs old. We started visiting in 1995, and have made an appoint to stay at least once a year since. Now, I am 30 years old, married and have a daughter of my own who started coming while she was still in the womb. She's almost 2 and has already stayed with us at the Driftwood 3 times with countless visits in the foreseeable future. I could go on and on for days about how wonderful the Gilmore's are. When we stay at the Driftwood, we feel like we are home. Everyone (from staff to other guests) is respectful, friendly, accommodating... I could go on and on. Not only are the people wonderful, but the establishment itself is just to die for. It is definitely an "at home" level of comfort for me with 28 years of familiarity, but from the family oriented, secluded/resort-feel intimacy to the beach level rooms, what else could you possibly ask for when you travel to such a beautiful location?! They've hit the nail on the head with their amenities and made it so everyone in the family can be involved and entertained. We will keep the Driftwood Lodge a family tradition as long as possible!!

This place was great for a budget friendly trip for our family. It’s not the nicest or newest place in town, but if you just need a place to sleep while you spend your days at the beach it is perfect! The staff were all very friendly. We loved the extra events like watermelon day and daily games. We really enjoyed the deck for the 4th to watch fireworks with the other guests. It felt like we were with family to be honest. The atmosphere and the easy beach access is great for families. We used the community grills to cook almost every night so we saved a ton on eating out. The kids loved the pool. Thanks for a great stay!

Me and my girlfriend came to panama city beach on vacation and we decided to book a reservation at the driftwood lodge considering the stellar reviews. Upon arrival we were coldy greeted by a front desk woman (I cant remember her name but she was very rude and did not seem like she even wanted to be there) we stayed on the 1st floor and the bed was HARD and decorations were tacky. We found 3 dead cockroaches in the bathroom. The views were nice, but not nice enough to stay in a room where we just found bugs. What seemed like drug addicts were roaming around the parking lot. We immediately decided to pack up our things and get the hell out of dodge. The front desk woman refused to give us our money back so we were out of a deposit. Decided to just get an airbnb and enjoyed the rest of our vacation. will not be back.

We had reservations but when we arrived they put us behind the maintenance building where we could not see the beach or the ocean. we complained and asked to be moved but they said that was the last room. We then asked for a refund of our deposit, the owner refused so we left. Being very upset since we had driven all day we will never return to those uncourteous people.

Very clean! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Grandkids loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was really nice. Pancakes, waffles, cold cereals, fruit, pastries, bagels etc. It is my go to spot now. I will not even look at another hotel. The only way I wouldn't stay here is if they were completely booked. Highly recommended!!!

My wife and I had booked a night's stay at the Driftwood Lodge weeks ago, however, our flights were cancelled by the airlines due to a snow and ice storm. We notified the hotel as soon as we received a notification from the airlines...we tried to work with them, not to be refunded, but reschedule our stay the following weekend. but they refused to re-book or refund our money! It is very disappointing that they refused to issue a refund given the extenuating circumstances. That was somewhat of an unreasonable position to take! I can only assume money is more important to them than customer service. If that is there attitude, I would never stay here and urge others to avoid this establishment at all costs!!!!!!!

We love staying here. We are never ready to leave when our vacation is over. There are so many amenities. We also enjoy the group activities provided for all by the Driftwood. The staff is friendly, happy, always smiling. We feel like family. We appreciate the daily housekeeping so all we have to do is decide how we are going to play each day.

We love the Cabana Suite. The bar and grill have good food. The watermelon and games at 1 pm are so much fun for all. Movie night with popcorn and fudge!! The outdoor kitchen!!! Shuffleboard, ping pong, corn hole toss and connect four are fun for the whole family. Oops forget the checkers and ring toss!
