We stayed here for 2 days - largely because it was a Red Carnation Property which we use in the UK. Nicely situated but very jaded decor - particularly the pool area. Very helpful and friendly staff; good food and bar. We felt it was overpriced for the experience but this is West Palm Beach. Easy walking distance to beach and local points of interest. Difficult to recommend as value for money stay but an overall nice stay.

This review is for afternoon tea I did yesterday. We made reservations online but we did request to sit in the library. The library was wonderful, it was so peaceful and quiet in there. Such a great location for afternoon tea. The tea is a traditional English afternoon tea so keep that in mind. Our server was Trilanda and she was awesome. Very sweet and attentive. All the food was great except I'd get rid of that ham and cheese sandwich and do something different. That sandwich was gross and pretty boring. The pastries and scone were delicious. They also serve champagne for an upgrade. I highly recommend this tea for a girls day or for a treat.

My daughter and I enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon in the Courtyard of The Chesterfield Palm Beach. The High Tea was scrumptious, more than we could eat and they accommodated my daughter's Gluten Free needs.

When we arrived, I thought my expectations would be dashed and they certainly were. There was no busboy to helps us with our bags, which we had to carry to the lobby ourselves. While walking to the lobby, we passed the exterior of the hotel’s Leopard Lounge. I noticed immediately that the paint on the iron tables was chipped in many places. Upon entering the lobby, you are greeted by quite worn furniture which appears to be from the 80s. The piping on the upholstery of a wing chair had become detached and was just hanging. The couch and chairs were very, very worn (you know how down cushions look when they are flattened and past their prime). The area carpet was laid in a haphazard way with no straight edges and apparently no carpet pad for cushioning. We then took our bags upstairs to our room, which the concierge said was a nice room overlooking the pool, did overlook the pool but was far from nice. Where do I begin? The outdated New England “colonial” furniture had been painted white and was totally incongruous with the hip vibe of Palm Beach. The white paint was scratched and gouged in many places and the carpet stained. The whole room had a musty smell, perhaps due to the leaky air conditioner, since repaired, but with the water stain quite obvious under the unit as a result of the leak. When packing to go home, all our clothes reeked of the musty smell. Perhaps that’s why there was a mold-like film on the face of the air conditioning unit which looks like it had not been wiped down in months. The closets were spacious, but the “colonial” furniture had but four drawers, leaving little room for two occupants garments. There was a piece of leftover food or bread crumb on our carpet for the duration of our stay, leading us to conclude that the carpet hadn’t’ seen a vacuum cleaner in at least four days (the duration of our stay). Now onto the bath. First, like the room, it was tiny. I get it, the hotel was built in the 20s when times were different, but at least it could be clean. The once white stone floors were etched with urine stains and the surface wornto a dull gray from lack of sealing and maintenance. There was a wad of previous occupants hair in the corner of the toilet and tub which took two days to disappear. There was a hair from a previous occupant on the rim of the toilet. The banana leaf wallpaper on the walls leading to the pool may have been trendy in the 80s but looks terribly dated today. A similar pattern is repeated on the carpeted hallway floors which look to be of the same vintage and quite dirty. When at the pool, there is no full-time attendant to set up lounge chairs, etc. It is catch as catch can and if there is no one there you have to go to the lobby to ask for help. If you want to go to the beach, you have to walk one-half mile with chairs and umbrellas they give you at the reception desk. There is no ride offered, despite the fact that there is a four or six seat golf cart emblazoned with the Chesterfield logo on the side of the hotel. For years, a friend of mine (a former president of a United Technologies subsidiary) always mentioned how nice this hotel was and how they would train their Rolls Royce to Palm Beach for the winter. That was years ago and this hotel looks like it hasn’t been updated sińce. That is too bad as it is a block from Worth Avenue and within walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Palm Beach. Unfortunately , due to our quite disappointing, and many times unsanitary experience, we will not return.

We have stayed at the Chesterfield many times, and I reviewed it many years ago. It had been 3 years since our last visit and we were not disappointed. My husband made reservations for my birthday as a surprise, including dinner reservations. The staff went all out and made my birthday very special. Before dinner we spent time at the Leopard Lounge with a great bartender, John, who moved here recently from N. Carolina. Very personable and fun!! Dinner, and breakfast the next morning, were superb, as always. This is a perfect place to stay for a special occasion, or any time!! Worth Avenue is within walking distance. Room and public areas were spotless and hand sanitizers and masks available.

Second year in a row for a 4 day stay. Impeccable service and attention to detail from the front desk to the housekeeping, to room service, Leopard Lounge dining, afternoon tea, valet. Anything you ask, they are willing to accommodate if possible. Personable, kind and friendly. Such nice people, love the Chesterfield!

Nothing is quite as wonderful as a visit to the Chesterfield. The staff is outstanding, the food excellent and what the rooms lack in size, they make up for in character. The location is perfect - walking distance to Worth Avenue, but on a quiet street.

My wife and I spent a week at the Chesterfield that included Memorial day weekend. Our room was a suite that included an outside balcony which is the only balcony in the hotel. ( Room 200) Took Ubers everywhere and they are the only inexpensive thing in Palm Beach. Room was quiet and the staff was great. We conducted a very subjective search for the best Bloody Mary in Palm Beach and West palm. The contestants included the Breakers seafood Bar among several others. Gregorio at the Chesterfield was the clear winner followed by Dahlia in second place also at the Chesterfield. Part of the red carnation group. Always classy!

This is a luxury hotel where everyone remembers your name. There are fresh flowers everywhere. The lobby is absolutely charming. There is a peaceful library. Breakfast is served in the beautiful courtyard. The pool is perfectly clean, peaceful, lounge chairs are padded, they set up towels for you, and servers are constantly coming around to check on you. Lunch and cocktails can be ordered poolside, which were delicious. They provide beach chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach. The room appeared recently refreshed, bright and clean, great bedding, thick plush bath towels, bathrobes and Floris soap. Special thank you to Margarida at the front desk who was so perfectly delightful, and to John at the restaurant who made us feel so welcome. The entire staff was welcoming and gracious and they all provided 5-star personal service. We can’t wait to return to this special hotel.
