My daughter & I stayed here for 4 days last week. We were happily surprised with the resort. Upon checking in, were greeted by Bob, who was very pleasant. Bob offered us a bottle of champagne or wine & upgraded our room to an ocean view on the fifth floor!(room 512) Our room had a great view & it was spacious. There wasn’t a balcony, but we loved that we could open the window & listen to the ocean waves. The bathroom was very small & had a strange layout. The walk-in shower was very nice. We had a mini frig & coffee maker in the room. We had daily cleaning service. We walked out to the beach all 3 mornings to see the beautiful sunrise. There were always plenty of beach chairs & umbrellas set up, but beach towels were not always available before 9:00. There was iced water & plastic cups set up, which was nice, as it was almost 90 degrees. They offered beverages & food service on the beach. The beach was great & groomed, so minimal seaweed. Some of the things we enjoyed, were the tuna nachos, eggs Benedict & lemon drop martini. Traylinda was a great server who went above & beyond to make our dining experience a great one. The resort gym had ample equipment & weights, along with complimentary water bottles. We also enjoyed the sauna in the locker room. The pool area was so tranquil, with bamboo & palm trees & relaxing music streamed in. There was also food & beverage service & a hot tub. You’d never guess that the pool was in the parking lot! The general manager made an appearance in the pool area. He had to politely ask some non-guests to leave. He was extremely professional & made all of us guests feel comfortable. Thank you for a great little escape from the Northeast!…
Beautiful hotel with a bit of Palm Beach history. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast outdoors by the ocean, sushi bar, and evening enjoyment were our highlights. The beach was very nice with umbrellas, chairs, and service. Great spa and relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
We checked into the Tideline aka Autograph Palm Beach Resort last week and oh what a disappointment. The hotel looks like it came out of an episode of The Chateau and was built at the same time. The place is old, and when I say old I mean old. This building passes itself for a luxury hotel. It I’s anything but. The entire interior is brown, brown floors, brown showers, brown beds, brown desk, brown everything. The color is convenient in that you can’t tell if it dirty. The towel bar was located in the toilet. When you shower, you have to go into the toilet to retrieve your towel. There is one hook in the little bathroom. There is a desk with chairs, no light on the patio which looks over at shrubbery referred to as a garden. There was a mirror on the wall which has been falling off for a long time. The sink was falling apart. Don’t try to read on the patio, someone could be smoking right next to you. The driveway entrance is littered with garbage. The place is a mess, yet it ended up costing us $630 per day which includes a resort feThe food was so so and expensive. Not my idea of good food, for I am a foody. The saving grace, the wastaff, who I were very charming and worked hard. They went above and beyond. I heard that they plan to renovate.…
Marriott should be ashamed of itself for putting its name on this shabby old hotel. The Marriott brand suggests a certain standard of cleanliness, efficiency, and service that this hotel lacks. It hasn’t been renovated in many decades and the décor is dark and depressing, with stains on the floor, chipped furniture, and broken closet doors. The wifi isn’t strong enough to conduct a Zoom call in the bedroom or, worse, in the conference room. There is sand on the floors because the foot shower at the beach is in a sand dune rather than on the deck so everyone enters the hotel from the beach with sand on their feet. Beach/pool towels are so small and threadbare as to be almost not useful. The pillows on the chairs by the pool are so old they no longer offer any cushioning. The pool deck in the morning is littered with the empty beer cans and other trash from the night before until well into the day. Everything indoors smells just a bit moldy. It isn’t all bad – the bed was on the soft side but reasonably comfortable, the AC worked fine, the pool seemed clean, there was plenty of hot water when we showered, the beach is truly lovely, the young staff seems to be really trying to do their best, and the hotel is next the Four Seasons, where you can go to get a really good meal. If you want access to the lovely Palm Beach beach and this is what your price range allows, you’ll be fine. It just isn’t anything like the name Marriott suggests it will be.…
Rooms have cockroaches. AC is broken. Staff can't help you at all. Beach chairs and umbrellas broken. Definitely not like the website claims. Food service is awful. Room AC did not work. Staff seem over worked, stressed out angry. DO NOT GO.
If it wasn’t for the ocean, this place would be closed. Marriott should be ashamed to put their brand name on this place. The halls are dirty, haven’t been vacuumed since forever. The shower head leaks and sprays all over. The door to the balcony literally won’t open after struggling 5 minutes got it open enough to get on the balcony. Door to the room is insecure, barely closes. Can’t access the WiFi. The pool area is very rundown, tiles are coming off the pool, the waterfall wall at the end is barely running and has streaks and calcium deposits. We came back from dinner, elsewhere, last night and no valet had to park ourselves, there’s no turndown service. For around a thousand a night, please save your money. Second time here and the last. We travel a lot, we know service, quality, etc., and this is not it. Debbie S. Winter Park FL…
Great experience staying at the Tideline. The staff was super friendly, especially Taje and Steve who were very friendly and helpful The location is perfect right on the beach. The food was amazing. Looking forward to me next stay.
Since all the area hotels were over booked and sold out near PBI we decided to give this Marriott Brand a try... sorry we did!!! Room # 419 needed upgrading... Ants were freely crawling on the walls, bathroom, sink and bed. I wonder how many more we missed because the walls and decor were way too dark to see them. The tub/whirlpool/shower combo with the half glass door that was very hard to open because of the splash guard that was rubbing the base of the tub. Called the maintenance department and he did trim down the door sweeper and made it work. The tub was so high and thick, no grab bars present. I don't know how elderly guests can get in and out of the tub without slipping and hurting themselves. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Also the bathroom sink was clogged. The water was going down super slow and needed help and attention. So the same maintenance man used a plunger, drano, and did take apart the elbow pipe and claimed he cleared the problem. But it was behind the walls that needed to be checked out not the sink or the elbow pipe. Still slow!!! And for the bed... since we work 7 days a week and was looking forward to a nice relaxing, comfy sleep, the bed had more lumps, bumps and divots and was not comfortable. They need to replace this bed asap!!! Overall, nice view of the beach with a wrap around deck, with the nice ocean waves crashing on to the beach. Free or valet parking present. And a quick check in by TAJ. Hey Marriott, TideLine, get the upgrades done !!! I know it's the season, but Get it Done!!!…
We loved the easy access to the beach and pool and the staff were all terrific. Super comfortable beds. Thank you Tideline for a great stay! A heads up on a couple things however: 1) The event space is located on the 2nd floor and music can be heard in those rooms. If you are assigned to the 2nd floor, ask if any events are planned during your stay. 2) Know that a 20% service charge will be added to your tab at their restaurant Brandon. We didn't catch this and ended up double tipping.
If I can give this hotel negative stars, I would. I’ve been staying at this hotel for years and it’s gotten worse and worse. The last time was just pitiful that we actually had to leave the hotel and go elsewhere. Not only did we have cockroaches in our room but the toilet never flushed, the sink overflowed and no one really gave a rats a$$. . The manager and assistant member both said they would call me numerous times after I checked out and they never did. They even invited us to come back for a meal, but never called us and the one time we did reach out to them they never returned our calls. Both “managers”can care less. I have stayed at all different types of hotels from the days inn on the side of a highway to the four seasons in Hawaii and this place is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. You couldn’t pay me to stay here ever again. I had to bring all my clothes to the washer because I was afraid the cockroaches laid eggs. Yes, it’s set on a beautiful beach but trust me, just go get lunch at Benny’s instead and stay away at all cost The face they even charged $600-700 a night is revolting and they should be ashamed of themselves. This place needs to be knocked down immediately. Run away no matter what they offer you.…
