Overall was a great experience. The wedding venues, food, and staff were phenomenal. Just a couple issues with the AC and construction on my wedding day that I commented on in detail elsewhere. Our family and friends definitely see The Colony as a vacation destination now.
The chic old Florida hand-painted wallpaper in the lobby is the perfect nod to the history and panache of this iconic hotel. I adore so many things about this pink paradise that I don't really know what to say. There's such a great energy in the space with fresh salt air breezes sweeping through the hotel and pool area.
I am so sorry to say the rooms at the Colony Hotel are greatly outdated and worn. My carpet was badly ripped and stained, the furnishings were worn and dirty, very few electrical outlets, no USB ports, the walls were marred. I was so disappointed. However the staff could not be nicer.
From the moment we stepped on the property the warmth of the staff, coupled with the gorgeous surroundings made for a magical few days filled with new memories and wanting us to come back again and again!! Cheers to The Colony!!!
Visited The Colony recently. Had a wonderful experience. Lunch by the pool was terrific. Service was impeccable. Room was pristine if a bit small (kind of expected that as it’s an older hotel). My wife did comment that she would have liked a makeup mirror… Breakfast in the beautiful Floridian dining room was perfect and check out a breeze. In short, a special place.
The Colony is a wonderful hotel located right off of Worth Ave on Palm Beach Island. The hotel is pink and all the decor is very retro/palm beachy/leafy with monkeys. The room was a bit basic, no frills, with fun color walls and carpet but it was very clean! The staff were attentive and helpful. No need to bring an umbrella for the afternoon rain as there is one in the room and in the lobby! There is a cute pink golf cart that will take you to the beach, pink bikes to take out for the day, and a car that will take you within a 2 mile radius on the island. I just loved staying here and would definitely consider it on my next trip back to Palm Beach!
The entire staff was incredibly hospitable and helpful. Every need was met with a smile. They are incredibly dog friendly with lots of treats on hand. The location is incredible within walking distance to best shopping, dining, and beach. My dog and I loved our weekend getaway and cannot wait to go back!
This is a clearly a beautiful, classic hotel but oh man, do not bring your children here! It's probably our fault for not researching, and we're not used to staying in fancy hotels, but we felt uncomfortable for our entire stay. We worked up the nerve to take the kids into the pool and an elderly gentleman approached us and said, " There should be a separate pool for children" and walked away. And there were literally women lounging by the pool just stroking their dogs, so I'm guessing it's a see and be seen kind of place. There was also partying the entire time we were there and could barely maneuver through the lobby. I should also note that we were there for 3 nights and from what I could tell, I was the only person of color there aside from the staff. I couldn't get out of there fast enough and had it not been a fortune to stay there, I would have considered leaving. This is absolutely not meant to be a negative review as the hotel was lovely as were the staff, but I do hope that it helps paint a picture of what the setting is like there. Not my cup of tea but beautiful nonetheless.…
Had a wonderful time at The Colony! Beautiful hotel and friendly service! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was superb. Will definitely be back soon. Enjoyed the beautiful rooms and gorgeous pool.
I always stay at The Colony when in Palm Beach. It is central to everything and a great place to meet people. The service is outstanding from the moment you pull-up. Food and drinks are amazing. Always a wonderful time at The Colony. Excited to see the updated rooms.
