I initially planned to stay at bintang lodge for two nights, but extended my visit for a couple of days, because Moni is really worth it and has so much more to offer than just rushing to the vulcano. You can make many nice walks and trips and the natural surrounding is just stunning. I had one of the upper...

We had a wonderful time at Bintang Lodge, staying 3 nights there. Compared to the other rather basic guesthouses in Moni, we felt that we got a higher standard here for accommodation and food. An advantage is, that the rooms are situated a little off the street. Our room on the upper floor was spacious and clean with warm water...

the room was basic, but clean and quiet. The owner and his staff were very friendly and willing to help you to make your stay and visit in the region a success. Good choice of breakfast. Nice atmosphere in the eveing with sometimes one of the staff that play easy-listening music (guitar and singing).

Rooms are way to expensive. It's a small room with basic shower. It's moisty and smells weird. Bintang bungalows is next door, same rooms for half of the price! Just ask for Cynthia. Food at their restaurant is just bad. Basic just like their rooms. Not spicy or something, or tasted like nothing. Staff is friendly and helpful with planning...

Stayed here for two nights and were taken really good care of by Tobias and Billy. They couldn't have been more helpful - arranging airport collection and drop off and a driver the Kelimutu. The rooms are basic but clean with Hot showers on demand. Possibly pricey for what you get, but we didn't mind as there was a really...

Stayed here 2 nights. The lady owner was friendly and chatty with us. The room is ok, basic (bucket toilet, no sink). The bed was comfortbale and had a mosquito net. It was quite loud durinh the day with construction work. Ate at the restaurant next door. Don't feel pressured to use the expensive ojeks offered.

Don't expect much from being in Moni in terms of accommodation, but Bintang Lodge is definitely one of the best in this quiet town. Rooms are reasonably priced, clean, and hot-cold water worked with no problems, so that's more than enough. Staff are also friendly, and that's always helpful on a trip to remote areas.

For the price, Bintang was quite basic, even by standards of accommodation in Flores. I've lived in Indonesia for more than a decade, and we're quite used to staying in simple places, but usually for this kind of room we'd expect to pay between 350,000 - 450,000. But Bintang was asking rp 600,000 for a family room, which had basic...
