If I could leave 0 zero stars i would!! I have stay exclusive with Marriott hotels since 2007 and this was by far the WORST Marriott experience I have had. First off the hotel was not clean. I am a Marriott member and i always request extra towels, blankets and pillows through the app and have never had a problem getting it until now. They put on the app that it was dome and it was NOT!! I called down to the front desk to find out what happened and was told I would have to come get the stuff myself. Every night we were there i had to go down and get more towels. What the hell happened to room attendants? My room was never cleaned and towels were never replenished except by me. Please spare me the covid crap because towels could have been left at the door with a knock. The place was filty!! The walls were sticky with sole kind of gunk and it looked nothing like the pictures on the app. Those pictures had to be from when the hotel first opened years ago. There were bugs in our room and another guest was at the desk complaining about ants on the floor and bathtub in his room one of the nights i was down there getting more towels. He was in the room right past the first floor elevator on the right(beware). They told him all they could do was tell the manager. They allow non-service animals in the hotel. There were dogs everywhere!! I have no issues with the dogs but they aren’t cleaning this place like they should so just imagine with the animals in the building. The only reason I stayed was because like the other guest, they would’ve made me still pay and plus i would have had to pay for another hotel as well. Marriott really needs to drop this hotel from their name as this is NOT Marriott quality in the least bit!! NEVER AGAIN!!! This place is a dump. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. …
Took our grandson to Universal for the wknd. Check in was easy, front desk was so helpful in orienting us to the property and getting us what we needed. Pool was AWESOME! I believe it was heated but if not the sun really warmed it! Hot tub was HOT. Room was nice and roomy. Got the two bedroom suite. Kitchen had everything we needed. TVs in all the rooms offer so many choices and with so much streaming, it's impossible to NOT find anything to watch. Hotel is literally 5-8 minutes away from Universal which is nice. Eateries are around the corner, you can walk but we didn't. International Drive makes it so convenient to find something for everyone. The only con was that the comfy sofa/sectional smelled a bit like feet. lol. Other than that the bed was comfy, bathrooms were nicely stocked with towels and all bathing/shampoo/conditioners in pump bottles. Didn't use them but nice to know they are there. Didn't make it to breakfast either day so don't know how good/bad it was. We have already made reservations to stay again in a few weeks!…
Front desk girl very unfriendly acted indignant when we rang the bell to check in. I am a gold member and always had in my profile highly allergic to feathers. Was told had to wait to change out the chicken feather saks on the bed. Next morning went to same front desk person(same attitude)and requested maid. She never came. After my wife went down in the evening for 3rd time a man with wet hands and no gloves brought new bedding and told my wife she'd have to do it herself. Kitchen light out no bulb till late next day. Bath fan sounded like a jet engine..never fixed. 2 requests each. Hallways dirty and room had broken furniture. Place was a real dump.
Let’s start with the good. The staff works very hard and is very nice. Every person manning the front desk was always friendly. The mattresses are pretty comfortable and housekeeping does a good job. They never hesitated to bring extra towels or service the room when requested. Kitchens were in pretty good shape. There was plenty of free parking and pet friendly. The staff does a good job at getting trash from the trash cans. Netflix and Amazon Prime are both available on the tv with your own account. As others have said, if you aren't cooking, there are plenty of dining options in the area. Now the bad. They need to do a better job at cleaning up trash on grounds around the property. A stop sign in the parking lot was down for at least two months and had never been put back up. It definitely does not make a good first impression. The ugly. The property owner or Marriott (one of the two), needs to dump a bunch of money into this place. The first room we had, the a/c did not work. We got switched to a second room. In the second room, the water continually dripped in the tub. Drip...drip...drip. We checked out briefly and came back a few days later (we couldn't do better room wise for the price in the area). In room number 3, water was pouring through a window on the side of the building. Room number 4....one of the TVs did not work properly. The ceiling was dripping water. You can’t tell me that this building is not full of mold. There was pink slime between window panes. It's time for someone to dump some money in this place.…
First of all Laquisha at the front desk was awesome in helping my family and I to accommodate our needs. She should be recognized for that. The staff was very friendly and hotel was very clean. We stayed in a large 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom suite and will definitely come back and stay here again. The thing that amazed me was how friendly Laquisha and her staff was and would acknowledge you as you walked by. I haven't been to very many hotels that all the staff was like that. Thank you and keep up the great work
