I stayed at the Caribe Royale for a week during a conference in April 2021. My room was on the 2nd floor of Tower One. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. My room (a "King Suite") was clean & fresh with an upscale appearance and feel. Everything in the room worked properly, including the mini-fridge, both televisions, and the electronic safe. Included Wi-Fi was strong. Water flow in the shower was good. Bathroom starting to show its age a bit, but signs indicated they are currently renovating rooms a few at a time. Incredible pool, GREAT staff at Calypso, the poolside bar/restaurant, where I dined several times. Outstanding conference facilities with a huge event center. The resort was uncrowded until the weekend, when a horde of young cheerleaders and parents descended on the place for a competition. Used the stairs after they arrived, as the elevators filled up to capacity. I would definitely stay here again, it was a fine experience.

This was our 3rd stay here and everything was perfect. The service, the cleanliness, the rooms, the location! You have everything at this site! We stayed at one of the 2 bedroom villas, Tower VI, very spacious and comfortable. Also, they offer great deals and packages. We highly recommend this hotel.

So, my family and I just got back from this resort for a cheer competition. Let me start of by saying, from the pics online, the rooms look great. PROS: We checked in on Friday 04/30. We stayed in Tower 1 which was in the perfect location since we had to just walk across the parking lot to get to the convention center where the competition was. CONS: NOISE: We got stuck with a room right by the entrance door to Tower 1 (room 1147). So, we could here the door slamming open/shut all night as well as everyone’s conversations walking by. SMELL: As soon as we walked in the room smelled of mildew. It pretty much had this smell the whole time, but I went to Walgreens and bought some Febreze to compensate, as there was no need trying to get another room since the resort was booked this weekend. Also, although the room itself is non-smoking, the trash can right outside if the entrance is where everyone goes to smoke. So, there’s the smell from that. FURNITURE: The furniture is very dated. There were no batteries in one of the tv remotes, but thankfully the other remote worked both TVs in the room. The beds are also crammed into the bedroom area (2 queen beds). One bed is basically up against the wall brushing against the curtains. So, you can basically only walk on one side of the bed. VIEW: The view in this particular room was horrible. We had a view of some shrubs, and the building where the gym was. Also, since we were on the first floor, you get to see everyone walking past, and they can see you. PARKING: $12.00 per day parking fee only to have to park either in a wooded area or a mile from your room because people who are not actually guests at the hotel can use the parking for events. I could go on, but again..the room served it’s purpose because we were here for my daughters event, and this is where the team room block was. But, I will never stay here again. Although, I’m pretty sure they probably have some nicer rooms on the property, we just got stuck with a bad one.

So where do I start? Over booked the resort and no staff. If you need housekeeping? You must call the day before, otherwise there is none. Only 1 bar and restaurant open for 8,000 people and you stand in line behind 20 people to get a drink or order food. The Venetian Chop House was very good and not crowded. It did require reservations. I’m sure under normal conditions when people don’t get paid more to stay home than to work the resort would preform much better. But if a resort doesn’t have the staff to take care of guests, why would management book to maximum capacity? The staff that was working were killing them self’s and the guests got no service for a expensive stay.
