Taken me a while to get round to writing this review from what was a dream trip to Disney World in Orlando. We travelled from Manchester in the UK and couldn’t wait to get to Orlando. We had a coach transfer from Orlando Melbourne Intl Airport which couldn’t have gone much smoother, friendly TUI Staff at the airport, really quickly through security and baggage and onto the coach. On arrival at CBR we were greeted by a friendly member of staff at the check in desk. The old Port Royale area (where you check in and where you find the shops / food courts) is gorgeous, spacious and it just smells like a Disney holiday (that is a thing haha) We were given a room down in Trinidad, this was one of my only two issues, it was a good 20/25 minute trek to get to Old Port Royal or the pool from here. After a long day at the parks it was a killer and I suffer some mobility issues so it wasn’t the best location, in hindsight I wish I’d asked for closer to the action. But what about the shuttle bus I hear you ask, this was my second issue. They actually weren’t that frequent as I expected, I sat and waited 25 mins for one to take me to centre town one day to meet up with the rest of the family only for it to arrive and be told by the driver it would be another 30 minutes before she’d next stop there. The distance and frequency of the shuttle buses were literally my only issue and I’d take this as a lesson more than anything for next time. The CBR is a stunning resort with friendly staff in the heart of Disney, the walk to Old Port Royal first thing in the morning on a sunny day is beautiful. The busses to the parks while busy when we went were super convenient and having the Skyliner at the resort was brilliant!! I’d 100% return.

Hotel's Favorite
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Caribbean Beach Resort with two kids (6 and 11). Room was spacious and clean for a family of 4. The pull out bunk type of bed for optional 5th sleeper fits a child and was cute. Only negative were beds were a little soft and kind of cave into the middle and they needed more bartenders at banana cabana. Standout positives: Very friendly staff-from concierge, restaurant and gift shop staff to friendly lifeguard. Dedicated buses to this resort as well as one stop at resort next door were easy to use. Skyliner is accessible to resort. I witnessed a lifeguard save a child in distress and was amazing. The frose drink at banana cabana was my favorite drink of the week. I didn’t do much research beforehand and the hotel does not provide much guidance so here are some helpful tips: -the resort is massive so if you are far away from the lobby but close to the skyliner, there is an awesome coffee/drink/donut shop a short walk to skyliner to grab an awesome morning cup of coffee -in addition to drink machines by the main pool and restaurant, each “village” has one building with the drink machine. Go ahead and buy that $20 refillable mug at the lobby/grab and go so that you can have unlimited refills during your stay. -there is an internal bus shuttle. If your room is far away from the main pool/restaurant/lobby, take that shuttle to save a long walk. We had no idea about this until we noticed a shuttle while waiting for our bus to Disney -buses run like clockwork. Never had to wait more than five minutes. Never had a problem getting room on a bus -4 types of buses: internal resort shuttle, magic kingdom, animal kingdom and Disney springs. You can access other resorts by transferring at magic kingdom or using monorail from magic kingdom. -when going to Hollywood studios or Epcot, the skyliner was super close and so easy to use -since the lobby is so far away, be sure to stock up on water for your mini fridge. -while lite housekeeping is only every other day, they provided so many towels our family of 4 never reused a towel -the pool had pool towels available for guests -the main pool has games and activities until 3pm and my kids loved everything about the pool -the main pool has very attentive lifeguards and life jackets -if your arrival or departure time is before or after check out, check your luggage with the bell service and you can still use the amenities. We arrived at 11am, checked our luggage and enjoyed the pool. When our room was ready at 3, we went to your room, called Bell service and our luggage was delivered within 20 minutes. So helpful -your magic band will work until midnight day of check out. -if you used magical express to arrive at hotel from airport, they save your return flight info and provide a card day before check out with your airport shuttle information. Very nice. I would hands down stay here again and wish I had known all of these tips prior to arrival so I hope these help someone else!

This is my 3rd time staying here (over 15 years since I was here last) and it remains a fun and family friendly place. We stayed in Jamaica, room 4121. Family that was with us stayed a few doors down. The room was close to the Disney Skyliner which is both alot of fun to take and much faster than the buses (believe it is the only way to and from Epcot and Disney Springs). the rest have buses which run pretty frequently - just not as much fun or as fast as the Skyliner. The room was about a 7 minute walk to the main pool area in Port Royale, but it did have its own smaller pool in the Jamaica section. The bar in the main area is quite nice - food was pretty good and drinks of course were pricey. You could order ahead which is nice. The main pool area is good with plenty of seating and a few slides for the kids. Life guards are very attentive. The room itself was spacious with 2 queen beds, ceiling fan, and plent of space for a family of 4. My only grievance (and this may not even be their fault) is that my Disney Band was constantly not being recognized even though I had the pin reset multiple times. Also, some charges went to my family instead of my room etc. I also called upfront once to see if they had Claritin for my daughter and they confirmed that they ONLY carry childrens (great!!!). I walk up there and ask someone at the store and they told me they dont carry any Claritin!!! So minor things - but all in all a fun and great time.

We visited in July - my husband and I and our 2 teenager daughters. The resort is beautiful - loved the lobby and pools. Skyliner amazing and bus service great. We stayed in Aruba on ground floor which right next to Riveria skyliner and lovely to walk to Riveria for drinks. Our room was disappointing - old, tatty and air con noisy. Cramped for 4 let alone if you had a 5th - storage poor with 2 teenagers and lack of plug points. We spent a lot of money and the reality is the room is not worth it. The resort beautiful and location amazing but feel cheated with how much we spent for an old shabby room. I know you may say you hardly use the room but we do and when we then moved onto to universal the quality of the rooms was so unbelievable in comparison! Am sure refurbed rooms are lovely but unless guaranteed I would look elsewhere… sad as resort great

Our recent stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for 6 nights was a pleasant experience for our family. The resort, with its lovely common areas, captured our attention and we found the skyliner to be incredibly convenient for reaching Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Our room was located in the Jamaica section of the resort which offered easy access to the skyliner and being on the ground-floor was a relief, given the absence of elevators and our ample luggage. The skyliner felt like an additional ride for our 7-year-old daughter, adding to her amusement. The bus stop nearby facilitated our visit to Animal Kingdom, and our journey to Magic Kingdom via Uber and the Monorail was smooth. We appreciated the self check-in feature and the ability to request a specific type of room in advance. While our room was comfortably appointed with two double beds and a spacious storage area, a few drawbacks were apparent. We were disappointed by the dated restroom and the intrusive noise from both the restroom fan and the air conditioner. The cleanliness of the floor was also a point of concern. An unexpected hiccup we encountered was with the Disney app, which we used for unlocking our room door. On a few occasions, the app stopped working, which was particularly frustrating when we returned tired from a day at the theme parks. The distance to the reception from our room added to the inconvenience. Restarting one of our phones seemed to fix the issue, but the initial inconvenience was a dampener. However, evening strolls around the lake, stunning sunsets from the restaurant, and fireworks over Magic Kingdom became cherished moments. Our daughter loved the pool and waterslides and the spacious lobby offered a relaxing retreat. In conclusion, despite some shortcomings, our experience at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort was largely enjoyable.

I have stayed at this resort a few times with my family and have typically loved everything about the experience. This most recent trip, however, left a few things to be desired. I couldn't set up a wake-up call to surprise my children because our phone was broken. Housekeeping was touch and go. In years past, we were always greeted with linen animals placed neatly on the beds but for this trip, we received half-hearted cleaning that included absolutely no vacuuming of the floors. And when we did have breakfast at the resort's quick dining service the Mickey waffles had been shrunk to half the size of what they used to be and were often overcooked. Some of the cast members weren't as friendly as they once were either. Otherwise, even with the pitfalls that we encountered, my family loved the atmosphere so much of our room and the rest of the resort that we would absolutely stay here again.

Been visiting Disney for the last 10 years and have noticed a big difference in the service. When checking in we were advised the hotel was over booked and were told we were being moved to Port Orleans. Said this wasn’t acceptable as we were meeting two other families at this resort. After 45 mins they managed to “find” us a room on site - room very basic, air conditioning rattles. Room thick with dust in places. Old shower curtain and old shower. Room cleaned very basically every 2 days - floors never cleaned. Resort facilities - restaurant and pool very good.

The resort is beautiful and very well organized and run. We had a very pleasant stay there. The room was quite big and well kept. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was working very well. There is a restaurant by the bar that we only used once because it was very pricey and the food was good but not outstanding. The other informal restaurant in the main building was nice, the prices were reasonable for Disney and the food was good and the staff was working all the time on keeping the tables and the common areas cleaned. All the staff was very friendly, smiling and nice to deal with. There is an internal bus service that works great, I think ever 10-15 minutes because the facility is huge. The pools were very clean and nicely looked after.

I'm not one to do this. My family and I stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort in June 2023. Upon our arrival, we were told we were staying in newly renovated rooms, renovated four months prior, in the Trinidad South Section of the resort. Our room was on the second floor. When we arrived, the room was an ok temperature but it was a quick in and out. We returned after dinner at 9PM only to find the room was 80 degrees and felt every bit of it. We called the front desk and they sent the technician who assured us the room would cool, no problem, and it was just hot outside. They also brought us a box fan. We could not sleep all night. The air conditioner ran all night with cold air coming out but could not cool the room below 80 degrees! The next morning, we called again and they sent a technician while we went to the park. We returned at 3pm to find the room was set on 65 degrees but the ambient temp was still 80 degrees! Despite the air conditioner running non-stop. We had to move all of our belongings, with two small kids, downstairs to a first floor room. Because of the move, we missed our dinner reservations and seeing fireworks at Magic Kingdom. The AC in the new room was also set on 68 degrees but never cooled below 75 degrees for the next 2 nights we were there. Admittedly, it was very hot outside. I've lived in Orlando my entire life, its hot. I get it. But when you pay for a hotel, you expect the AC unit to work. During our stay, I saw other employees delivering box fans to other rooms, so it was not just us. We have stayed at other Disney hotels before with no problem. If I had to guess, Disney renovated these "brand new" rooms with some eco-friendly, going green, planet saving AC Units which I'm sure will save the planet but definitely can't cool the tiny room and keep you comfortable on vacation. The only reason this hotel gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because they compensated us a couple fast passes for the parks, which is hardly compensation for being hot in your room and unable to sleep on vacation. We look forward to staying at a NON-Disney hotel on our next trip. Disney... Do Better!
