Stayed 3 nights for a business conference and it has the feel of a business hotel rather than for families. Rooms were big and well appointed. Similar to embassy suites it had a big internal area with bars and restaurants below. These areas become very noisy at night once the attendees get a little alcohol in them. Areas can get very busy when the hotel is full. It’s very close to sea world and close enough for any Disney property. The meeting spaces were good, we had problems with a/v twice but we’re corrected relatively quickly. The food was decent but not great. The bar service was great, the restaurant service was spotty. The catered food was decent. The privacy curtains didn’t close all the way and if a light is on then people can see into your room. Not a bad hotel but pricier for what you get. You pay a resort fee but room service is like ordering from door dash, the pool bar closes at 4pm (why?). Ice machines were broken on floors 3, 4 & 5. The front desk told me to try the 6th floor (not kidding). It was not fixed 3 days later.…
Was here for 4 nights over President’s Day weekend for a conference. Overall the room was clean and a good size. The food was good. My only real gripe was that it seemed strange they would close the pool over President’s day weekend. I would have liked to go for a swim. They were sending people to another Marriott property down the street to swim but this is just an extra hassle.
We stayed here for 1 night with our 3 kids ages 4, 6, and 9. Booked on orbitz and the parking and resort fees were included so didn’t hav the extra charges some reviews mention. This place is right next to sea world. So if you are going to sea world the location is perfect! What we thought was strange is we were here in Feb with our kids and as it’s advertised as “at sea world” we thought it would be a kid/family resort, but it seemed more focused on corporate/business. There were lots of meeting spaces and a few corporate groups were on-site. We at 4:30 pm and went out to the pool area. There is a big large pool but they shut down the outdoor pool bar and drink service at 4:30 pm. So you have to go back into the hotel to get a drink. They have an amazing kids pool area with a spray pad, a small water play area for little kids and then two mid size water slides for older kids. When we were there only two other kids were playing at these water features. They also have a big fake turf grass area with lawn games set up (they probably use it for private events but when we went it was open for everyone.) there were some leaves in the hot tub and kids pool area - I do think they could do a better job of keeping the pool water free of these leaves. Other than that the outside areas are great for families / one ping pong and pool table outside too. I was just surprised how few families/kids were there. Between 4:30 and 7 pm the pool area was ghost town and we didn’t reallly see kids/familes onsite. The rooms were fine just typical hotel rooms. Ordered room service and the portions are very large. Overall a good stay. Would stay again.…
We received an email 2 days before our arrival that the pool would be closed. When we arrived one of our 3 rooms was not ready until 5:30pm. Had food at the bar that took forever to arrive and was cold. When we went to check out we received a $45 a day per room resort fee. When we went to check out and asked for a luggage cart bellhop Mike rudely said we don’t lend them out! Horrible hotel!
I have been coming here for many years (less covid) for a conference. The hotel has gone downhill. There were limited plugs for devices which is outdated. The pool was closed for renovation and they sent us to a local Marriott but you could only use the pool; not the work-out room. They used to have car rental but you now have to take a rideshare to the Rosen Center to get a car. The walls are paper thin and we could hear our coughing neighbor in the night.
This property is right across from SeaWorld. You can walk to SeaWorld. This property use to be wonderful but it’s just very bland and clinical feeling. $36 a day for parking ( that is regular parking and not valet) so be prepared for that. It was dark when we arrived and raining but I don’t think I saw any water in the pool! Just call and confirm the pool conditions if you want to swim in a pool on your vacation. Rooms are big but bathtub had stains. Huge conference rooms so they do hold alot of conferences here.
The hotel is located right across the Seaworld and in the middle - an ideal spot where it is 15-20 minutes drive from airport and from the Universal studios and Disney. It is close to a major shopping outlet too. Uber is readily available and it is under $15 the parks and less than $25 to Orlando MCO airport. The Uber ride to Kennedy Space center (55 miles) was $85 one way for Uber XL 6 seater and the return was $120…less than an hour drive….The hotel frankly does not look great at first sight from outside but once you enter the lobby, the ample massive open space with transparent glass open ceiling (lot of natural light) is quiet a welcome sight upon arrival. The open lobby has ample lounge couches and mini bed rests for adults and kids to hang out and lot of space for kids to run around without disturbing others….some other families/kids weren’t mindful and left their food leftovers all around on the main lobby hang out area and we had to clean up a bit…..and in the corner lounge area (10-12 ppl seating area) where they had 2 microwave ovens (we cleaned that too as previous users didn’t clean it up)….the staff were courteous and you see the housekeeping/cleaning staff clean the places all the time. The common bathrooms are spic and span and the rosemary mint lavender type scent is so refreshing. The outdoor pool had warm water and thought a mini basketball court would have been a great asset to all the amenities they have…Oh, there is also a coin operated laundry washer and dryer which came in handy when we are there for a week or so….the main restaurant for breakfast was bit over priced but they have a smaller restaurant by the corner where they serve Starbucks and have several all day breakfast type meal options ($9 & upwards)…the room we stayed in was great with comfortable mattress. The bathroom fittings are not as modern but ok with nice hot powerful shower. The washbasin and the mirror is bit too high for young kids….they need to be lifted….the housekeepers were hardworking and courteous…..anyway, we had a relaxing time at the hotel. thank you for taking care of us….we will return. Happy 2023 folks-…
The linens were dingy and poor quality. The shower Curtain didn’t block a thing. There was consistently water on the floor. The water smelled like sewage and the water pressure was horrible. The thermostat didn’t work. The room never heated to the desired temperature. Other than location it just wasn’t worth it. The location of my room made me feel I’d be away from the noise but I’ve been hearing banging and machinery sounds the entire time I’ve been here.
The property is located right next to the Sea Worlds. It is just 10-15 minutes by walk from the front to the gate. And, the property has a large pool and kids' playgrounds. So, it may be 5 stars if I rate the property without room condition. But, the room is poorly managed. The carpet is buckling, beds are way sinking.
Stayed here for a conference geared toward children. Called 4 times to make sure I could get connecting rooms, and sure enough when I arrived, they put my family in 2 rooms that were NOT connecting with one room in between them. Not sure why they couldn't accommodate my request. This is not acceptable practice for a children's event when adults need to be in the room with kids. The rooms were not clean. One smelled very strongly of cigarettes and the carpets and couches were stained. The icing on the cake was when 17 cars at the conference were broken into in the hotel parking lot and the hotel did NOTHING but comp their valet after the fact. This hotel needs to step up their game in many many ways.
