If you’re looking to maximize your use of hotel proximity to the park but also balance cost I would say this hotel is for you! Service - excellent! Maybe it is the Disney magic or maybe they just understand service! It’s impossible to say things always go as planned and “right” but when they didn’t, this hotel absolutely went above and beyond to solve. Based on that alone we would stay again! Shout out to Lori (hope spelled correctly) and Anjulie!!! Both rockstar problem solvers. Service in hotel was excellent. When our flight was delayed the bell hop in charge signed and accepted our Amazon fresh order and held it until we arrived! They then immediately jumped to help while checking us in and getting everything loaded so we could get right to the pool! Cleanliness - this resort really did not disappoint! I was hesitant to book because I definitely understand family hotels can get a bit grungy but that was definitely not the case here! Walking in everything looked and smelled 5 star! ( that is the best). My peeve is dirty looking carpets and the dolphin also passed the carpet test! Food - I won’t lie, our goal for this trip was the parks so we really didn’t get to utilize the restaurants at hotel. However we did order food late night one night to the room and it was excellent and packaged properly for delivery which always makes me happy! Amenities - this resort had very nice family and kid pools! Very nice looking outdoor pool scene - gave both family but up scale vibes. They have all the transportation needed to all the Disney parks - best one was the 6 minute boat ride right from the hotel to Hollywood studios!! So convenient. They are also a Disney resort so you are granted early bird access to all the parks (half hour) Overall this hotel was not a miss. I imagine I only tipped the iceberg with my review and experience. We absolutely will stay again!!…
Biggest vacation mistake I’ve ever made. This is just a Marriott hotel, and not a nice one. The staff is not helpful or courteous. The beds are absolutely tiny, not made for a couple. The lobby is fine, but the rooms a run down. After staying in a resort run by Disney, this place is a huge disappointment, especially for what they charge. One of the worst hotel experiences in my life.
Beautiful hotel and a lovely stay. Great location. You can easily walk the boardwalk. We stayed here for a work conference and it was clean and welcoming. Bars, restaurants, and walking path on site. Gym and pools were nice. I would stay here again.
Beautiful hotel 🏨, with a fantastic staff and location. We have been enjoying the Dolphin 🐬 for years and have never been disappointed. The rooms are comfortable and clean, many with terrific views. Pool is large, with a slide and jacuzzis in a tropical setting. The boardwalk connects to other resorts, restaurants and even walks you to Epcot or Disney studios. A boat launch is relaxing and is another of the various options that make this a very special property. However, like the heart of any business, it’s the people, your staff that are the heartbeat 💓! Led by Margot, an asset to the operation. Professional, prompt, sincere, personable and knowledgeable. Bradford was a bright light when we checked in and treated us warmly , kindly and professionally. Ashley S at front desk, as well as Rebecca are absolute gems and always willing to assist with a smile and advice. Walter at valet parking was terrific, prompt and supported a great beginning to your car travel experience. Two of our favorites upon waking up early were Dani and Moisin at breakfast. Friendly, warm, engaging and professional with terrific smiles. Great way to start your day! We look at to returning and recommend highly. Thank you. …
Just left after a four night stay. I am a Marriott Gold Level member. I did not receive housekeeping on two of the three days despite putting in my check in info that I did want housekeeping. Part of the joy of staying in a hotel is to come back to a room with the bed made and the towels hung up. Called on my last night to get housekeeping as the garbage can was full. I really expect better but obviously this hotel isn’t adequately staffed or just doesn’t care.
They are doing construction. No warning beforehand. They should not book up these rooms. They cant switch me to another room. Its right out my window drilling. They are doing nothing for me. They said they are doing it for customer safety well how about you dont book the room during construction for customer safety. And once again i wasnt warned of this in advance. And they tell me absolutely nothing they can do
Would not recommend - fine for first two nights but then they played loud music all night. 6yr old Kids couldn’t sleep - not exactly children friendly and the staff couldn’t care less. When i questioned playing loud music in a family resort hotel they said they weren’t part of Disney so not their issue
I would advise against staying at the Dolphin. In the past this was my favorite place to stay but they have disappointed me with my last visit. I am Bonvoy Titanium and booked a king room. Upon checkin I was asked to confirm I still wanted a king room. This should have been the red flag. I was provided a handicap room close to the elevator with more noise than any other hotel I have ever experienced. The room had no storage, terribly outdated shower and only a single chair in the room. While the lobby is beautiful, the rooms are seriously outdated. For the amount paid including resort fees, I would suggest staying next door at the Swan.
We loved staying here! Our room was clean and quiet and the staff was very nice. We got breakfast everyday at Fuel and even though the lines are long, they move quickly. The buses and water taxis to the parks were great and very convenient. The daily water bottles in the room are nice. I really don’t understand the negative reviews for this hotel. I am a Marriott gold member and I used the concierge line for check-in and was served almost immediately and our room was upgraded without us even asking. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are nicely put together. I do wish they would stop charging for parking since the other Disney resorts have gone back to free parking. The resort fees are a little high but if they included parking, that would be fine. Still, we will definitely stay here again in the future!…
Stay somewhere else. Room wasn’t ready on time. Front desk told me to go to concierge when I got a text my room was ready. I did and concierge completely ignored me while I was waiting. Bathroom had seas flies stuck to the ceiling. It’s not even a high ceiling so it shouldn’t be overlooked. Hook from back of bathroom door falling off. We had a balcony but never went outside because it smelled like a food stand underneath. I went back down to concierge and AGAIN I was ignored. It’s like they speak to one guest then they walk away. Also got charged extra parking on my invoice. I paid as a non guest because I had no key to get into self park. $38 for self park a day ( all of actual Disney resorts dropped their parking fee but since dolphins isn’t technically Disney they are STILL charging ) I paid when I drove out but they STILL charged me. I had to wait and speak to valet for it. Scam. No one was really helpful Except the women in housekeeping when I walked past them. But that’s it. Stay somewhere else. This place is a theee star AT BEST…
