We recently stayed at the Dolphin. The following was relevant: -The resort itself was fun with many good things to do. We particularly recommend doing the swan paddle boat, which was relaxing and something different. -The pool is outstanding - large, well laid out, and a nice temperature. There is also water volleyball and other activities. -Our room, unfortunately was absolutely filthy, which was even more disturbing during this time of covid-19. For example: the carpet had soap crushed into it as well as food, the wall in the bathroom was "painted" with pink smears, and the bathroom door and light switch was covered with a sticky "something". An attempt to bring this to the front desk's attention resulted in zero action. -The food options are solid; we enjoyed our dinner at BlueZoo and cannot say enough about the deli/store known as Fuel. The sandwiches and coffee here are great, as are the staff. -Overall, I cannot recommend staying at the Dolphin due to the cleanliness issue; if people look at my historical reviews they will see that a negative review from me is relatively rare.…
We have stayed at the Swan and Dolphin multiple times. On our trip over the weekend, we had the best experience yet! The Dolphin room we were given was the perfect size, and very clean. It felt more updated compared to our last visit. The staff was friendly, resort was clean, and it was an overall great stay!
We stayed during the week and the hotel felt pretty empty. Guest service was really fantastic. Everyone we met seemed genuinely happy to be back at work. Our room was clean and everything functioned fine. For the price, service and location I'm not sure why anyone would want to pay more to stay at a Disney run resort.
This was my 2nd visit to this Disney resort . The first time was a soon to be newlywed almost 20 years ago and this time with my teens. I loved this hotel 2nd time around. Either I missed a lot of the details first time around or did not appreciate (fast forward all my travels thru the years) or a lot has changed. I dare to say it is most likely the 2nd reason. This hotel is affordable, elegant and central. Easy access to everything Disney. Only downside of staying on Disney property is you can’t do food delivery from anywhere I tried. Food at hotel was average- some places better then others. But I found dining options limited. Good news is Swan is right across path to offer more options. Rooms were clean and modern. The grounds were beautiful. Loved beach and pool area. Staff was friendly and hotel did ok job making guests feel safe during pandemic. Loved resort view room and wished I took a balcony- maybe next time. I would definitely return. Had a great time with kids …
The Dolphin Hotel is within walking distance of both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is minutes away from the Boardwalk, which has restaurants and shops. The actual rooms in the Dolphin Hotel are okay, they are roomy and clean. The main reason to book here is the proximity to the parks. The restaurants on property are also very good, food was much better here than eating at the parks. Tip: Walk to Boardwalk Hotel or Yacht and Beach Club Hotel to take transportation from there instead of Dolphin Hotel. They leave you MUCH closer to the parks (Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs) and are more frequent.
