This was our first experience staying "on property" at Disney. We've been many times over the last few years and decided to give it a try, and as so many people have said before, not sure we'll every stay off-property again. My family of four (two small children ages 4 and 7) was staying with grandparents, so 6 of us... More

My family and I just returned from a tent camping weekend. We had a good time overall, but I have a few gripes which I think need to be shared. First, the gas-powered golf carts they allow people to bring are very annoying. The carts that disney rents out are electric and capped at 10 MPH or so, but the... More

These are very overpriced rental prefab trailer homes that have an overlying veneer to make them look like cabins. They are pricey but do have a little kitchenette and are clearly bigger than average hotel rooms. Cleanliness and spiffiness of the rooms was adequate but definitely not thrilling and in my experience subpar for Disney. The restaurant and amenities are... More

My husband & I camped at Fort Wilderness from October 1-16. We have decorated our camp site for Halloween & Christmas for at least 9 years & look forward to it every year. After a 19 hour drive we were eager to get our site & get decorating. We started around noon & continued to set up until supper. After... More

I have only stayed on Disney property twice. The first time was at the Caribbean Beach Resort. The reason we choose the cabins this time was because it was a group of 5 of us traveling and staying together. We thought it might be a cool idea to try the cabins. We did not want to stay at one of... More

My family & I stayed in one of the cabins at Fort Wilderness. The cabins are quite spacious. We went with my sister who is in a wheelchair, & I was more than surprised & delighted that they have cabins with a huge roll-in shower. We loved having a full kitchen. The cabin really feels like home. The cabins also... More

As a family of four - including two teenage sons - we stayed in a cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground late August 2011. It suited our needs very well; the cabin was spacious, very clean and well-equipped. The bus system on site was efficient and frequent. The smaller pool was very relaxing. All of the staff we... We had to convince my non-outdoors loving daughter to come tent camping with us. She hates bugs and all that comes with camping. We had the best camping experience ever! The location was beautiful and convienent to restrooms and pool area. The sites are set up so well it only took me about 30 minutes to get everything set up.... More

This past week we went to Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. We had a great time, It was just three of us 21 years old and up. We were in the 2000 loop and we were in a tent. I haven't been back to Disney to camp in over 12 years so the last time I went I was a child... More

We recently stayed at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. They came as advertised, great privacy and a comfortable sized room for four people. The bus system worked well, and our rooms (along with the dishes) were cleaned daily. The pool and slide was great. The only downside was that we were next to a bus stop and it was a... More
