The week before our trip i started reading reviews and i read alot of negative things and i thought to myself oh crap if this place i bad my daughter will flip cause she's a deva we've never stayed at a value resort before its always been the Coronado but to my surprise it was actually pretty nice. And for the people complaining that they're room weren't cleanded they asked me at check in if i wanted cleaning everyday or clean towels every 3 days, the room was clean a/c was cold all around place was great we had an awesome time. 169.00 a night was better that 450.00 a night. This was one of our best Disney trips!!!!
The grounds were immaculate and up to what I would consider “Disney standards”. Very creative outdoor decor. Pools are nice. Staff is friendly. Lifeguards everywhere. Lobby/gift shops are immaculate. The rooms, not so much. They were severely outdated and looked like a 90s pediatrician office. Our room was never cleaned during our 6 day stay. I had to clean them myself. Beds were never made. Floors were never vacuumed. Floors were filthy. Carpets are stained and faded. I wouldn’t let my kids walk on it barefoot or sit on it. During our 6 day stay, towels were only changed twice and trash was only taken out twice. The trash just piled up. Since the rooms were not maintained, coffee pot supplies were not kept up with. We called twice for coffee supplies and it never arrived. So we had to buy it (and it’s not cheap). Nothing is cheap or reasonable. For the amount of money we spent on a Disney Hotel one would hope for a clean room and coffee. A bottle of water, soft drinks, or food were very, very overpriced. One would expect these prices in the parks, but why the hotels too? Want alcohol, get a mortgage. One margarita is $17!!! The bathrooms are super small. One needs to step into the shower just to close the bathroom door (they are not sliding doors like in the photos). There is, what looks like a hospital curtain separating the sink from the bedroom. The safe has a key, not a pin pad. No microwave. I paid what for this experience???? I get it, it’s an “economy” hotel. But this is Disney, not the Motel 6.…
We've seen several bad reviews for the All-Star Sports recently, but let me tell you...as always, Disney provides the best! From our check-in with Jessica (from NJ) to the room being located in a quiet area, Disney's reputation for cleanliness and comfort is still there. The room was clean and well presented. All we really needed was a good bed and clean room with a few other amenities like a cafe for breakfast, because most of the day was spent at the parks (out by 7:30 AM back by 10:00 PM). Throughout the years we've been in many Disney properties from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Contemporary, Caribbean, Orleans, and of course Sports, Movies, Music. We have never been disappointed. If you're on a budget, then go to the Value Resorts. If you want a like more luxury, then go to the Deluxe Resorts. As annual pass holders, we like the budget lodging. Just a clean room and comfortable bed. …
Do you like time travel? When you stay at Disney All Star Sports resort, you are instantly transported to 1995! There are no USB charge ports in the room. There are no 120v outlets near the bedside table, they’re on the walls on the sides of the beds! No where to set your phone because in 1995, you didn’t have a phone! Surprisingly there is no AM/FM clock radio either. The TV is not HD. It is very clunky with a 3 sec delay between channel changes! No inputs to attach a ROKU device for example. No microwave. Did we have microwaves in 1995? I think we did. The beds are full size, not queen because Americans were not as big in 1995 as they are in 2022. The bathroom sink filter probably hasnt been emptied since 1995. The water trickles out. The front desk was very quick to fix our problems. The first night we got no sleep because the AC was not cold. They had someone knocking on the door at 7:30am to come in and fix it. There was also 2 bags of trash inexplicably left outside our door. When we told concierge, they had it removed quickly. I dont think we will be going back to 1995 again.…
We were so excited to stay at this property since it was my husbands and childrens first time at Disney world. We traveled with our 2 year son and 10 month old son. Everything was great upon arrival, we were accommodated with our early check in request. Rooms were ok, a bit out dated but we honestly didn’t care since we were there for the parks and Disney experience with the kids. As the days went by, no one took our trash out from inside our room, no replacement of towels and no cleaning of the beds. We would call the front desk numerous times and no answer. They also denied our request for late check out even after we explained we had a late flight and was traveling with two babies and needed more time. We will be returning to Disney but unfortunately we will never again book this resort.…
Do not stay at Disney All Star Resort if you have any self respect. We were forced to stay at this location for a cheerleading competition and absolutely regret it. Check in was fine but all downhill from there. Room is incredibly small and dated. It smelled horrible, musty, moldy and not sure what but was horrible. Of course they were all full so no other rooms. Than the beds, one was actually decent but other was thinner and rock hard. Than on third day I had one daughter's cheerleading competition early morning so got up at 5am to get ready with next daughter's competition at 7pm. We went back to hotel to take a small 2 hour nap and put Do No Disturb sign up. We learned 1/2 way through our nap that this hotel could care less about a DND sign. Half way through nap and daughter's rest I here knocking on door. It stops for a second than a more aggressive knock takes place. I get up to have housekeeping tell me they have to do a visual check. I tell them no that my children need to sleep which were now already waking up. He insists he has to do visual check and I tell him it isn't going to happen now. He finally leaves and says he will be back later. I than call the front desk from hotel phone asking to speak to a manager and am told she will have one call me back. I tell her no that I need to talk to one now and she informs me that she is actually not on property so one has to call me back. So I give her my phone number and wait a few minutes but no call so I walk to the front to talk to manager. I get there and see no guests, 2 employees and 2 men in suits all standing around talking. I walk up and ask to speak to a manager and Tristan comes over. I explained the situation and he acts like he could care a less and tells me it's disney policy to do daily checks. I tell him I was never notified and he asks if I had booked with Varsity, I said yes and he simply states, there is your issue, they should have told you. I'm a little surprised that he has an attitude so push back and say it should have been explained at check in to which he literally rolled his eyes and I call him on it. He than states that lots of hotel chains do visual checks I'm just not aware of them. I chucked and explained I travel for business and assured him that does not happen and he argues again that most if not all Orlando hotels do it. I than asked what the purpose of these visual checks were for and he says, to make sure everything is okay like to validate there isn't a fire in the room. Wow, that was the best he could give, like a fire might just break out at the second an attendant goes in your room. I than told him it was ridiculous that a guest can't even lay down to rest during the day because they will be disturbed and again he acted like he could care less. He simply states that is Disney's policy that he would ha e Housekeeping manager call me later to schedule a time for my visule check because it really wasn't Front Desk issue, it wad housekeeping. WOW!!!! Disney customer service, 101, dont apologizenot once when talking to customer, dont try to difuzethe situation, simply blame Varsity and pass along to Housekeeping. Bravo, well done Tristan, you are a Disney Front Desk CustomerService Super Star! So 15 minutes later Michael from housekeeping calls. He was direct, to the point, not apologetic in the least, and just wanted to know when they should come by. He like Tristan could have cared less that they woke my daughter's up on a competition day. I tried to explain that it was ridiculous and all he would say is it's Disney policy and it's not going to change then ask what time. After I tell him time he tells me to call front desk tomorrow if I need a time because they would be checking again tomorrow. It's sad that Disney has actually gotten this terrible and aloof about customer service. Walt has to be rolling over in his grave with how terrible it has become! Me and my 4 daughters will never be back if this is what to expect!…
This trip to Disney is trip number 31 for me , however my one year olds first trip. I booked All Star Sport because the All Star hotels have never let me down and there is a lot for my toddler to do at the resort. Out of all of my stays at Disney (and I’ve stayed at over 11 hotels) this room was by far the dirtiest and least updated. The carpet was fringed and coming up, the curtains were absolutely disgusting and there were stains all over everything, including one of the pillows. When I went to use the soap in the bathroom brown, crusty, nastiness came out before the soap. I have never been more disappointed in an experience at a Disney hotel. Not to mention this trip is the most I’ve ever had to pay to stay at one of the All Star Resorts. I am not sure why Music and Movies received updates while closed for two years but Sport did not. All I know is it is in major need of a renovation and I will not be back to this specific resort unless it is cleaned and updated. Very disappointed.…
It was a horrible and awful experience to stay at WDW All Star Sports. This resort is not ready to open. I’ve been in three different rooms and all are horrific. First one had dried syrup over table, gobs of human hair in bathroom and splatter of diarrhea on toilet lid, I walked to speak to manager and the front desk was very rude. Second room was cleaner but smelled like horrible mildew. This room also had the large tv cabinet half way out from wall. I told the manager this was a tripling hazard for me and she didn’t care. Third room was clean and better smelling but ac didn’t work. Room didn’t t have luggage racks. Fourth trip to front desk asking for some and was told to leave luggage on floor. Not very kind to say to a disabled person. I give up. Management doesn’t care. All I can say is DON’T stay here. This resort was once the gem of the value resorts but is now a dump.…
Disappointed in Disney An error while booking had us out of the pop century and into this suite for one night and it was absolutely terrible I was shocked that Disney Hasn’t updated these rooms are suite smelled like crap, At $500 a night I would’ve rather stayed in the Hilton
My family (two children ages 13, 10, and my husband and I) stayed here in March 2020. The rooms are standard rooms with two queens. The rooms have all the basic you need - especially since you don't spend much time in the hotel room itself. We did schedule one resort day where we used the pool and such. It was good and not too crowded. Our room did smelly musty but we asked for a room change and was accommodated. Staff are friendly and excellent as you would expect from Disney. We opted to take a Lyft to the theme parks each day vs. waiting for the shuttles, it worked well for us. I'd try a new hotel or resort next time we visit, but this one is fine.
