We booked a Christmas Day surprise family vacation for EIGHT nights at this hotel! We felt deceived. I’d recently stayed at the neighboring Wyndham hotel which was very nice; l chose this one because it was marketed as a modern and “next level” and we could book a room with a lanai, as we intended on spending more than half of our vacation at the “resort “. There were many disappointing aspects to our stay, lack of staffing, supplies etc. We felt we could be patient and sympathIze with these things due to it being the holidays and CoVid challenges. There are other aspects that need to be brought to the attention of other travelers, so they do not spend a small fortune on a beat-up, dirty hotel like we did. This is the 7th property I’ve stayed at over the years and by far the only property in this condition. Disney should not affiliate themselves with this property in any way. Let’s start with the “Stunning Poolside Lanai” we splurged on for this one time occasion with our kids. My husband and I had big plans to spend our vacation days on the inviting, comfy, lanai from Christmas Day through NYE that is pictured on the resort website. The first thing we noticed upon arrival was that the furniture (only partially there, I assume sections of it were on the neighbors lanai) was missing the seat cushions. I asked the front desk for the cushions and was told they could not clean them to Covid Standards and have removed them. I was extremely disappointed and accepted the excuse. Throughout the week I was upset by this as I could not comfortably sit on the furniture with no cushions even trying bed pillows and towels to make it better. The thing that I struggled with, is that sunshine on the lanai literally disinfects and kills germs! And contradictory to this, the lobby had no less than 4 couches filled with decorative pillows with people using them regularly and the entrance to hotel had many more soft seating arrangements filled with pillows! The room was in rough condition: The curtains were beat up, the fridge was cool but never actually cold, the lamp was wobbly, the “beauty-rest, Bliss” bed was mediocre at best, the “lighted mirror”, burned out, the shower head was only about 4 ft at this highest point, the fan did not turn on in the bathroom and it looked like it had flooded at some point as the dry wall and trim was bubbling which really grossed out our teenage daughter. All the electronics in the room were plugged into a little outlet strip behind the dresser which looked like a fire hazard. There were no towels around the pool available, the pool bar was rarely open and when it finally was, the sun was no longer on the pool area. The hot tub was tiny and gross, the Spa I booked hotel for, was closed. They were out of all pancake mix, in the restaurant and some (not all) of the cafe workers were just inconvenienced and rude to guests. We were given decaf coffee k-cups for the room, when we asked for caffeinated , were given more decaf coffee. A sprinkler head was broken outside out room, we discovered on the last morning at 4am, causing the water to collect on our “stunning lanai” to never dry. Explains partially why the porch was so filthy. I do not write reviews, but feel obligated to save another family from making the same mistake we did, for our special vacation! The location is the only good attribute of this property, walkable to Disney Springs, but there are many other choices within the same distance or closer.…
I called prebooking about early check in and they said yes they are not fully booked. Got here at 8am, told to come back at 9:30 then come back at 1130. Now at 12 they tell me come back at 3! Why the games? Saying I’m sorry does not help. Manager on staff Mr. Hennessy is rude and short with everyone. It’s not his fault hotel has so many issues that’s overwhelming him, but it not right to be rude to guests when your staff messes up.
Had an amazing time at the hotel. BUT! the best part of the whole experience was sitting down at the American kitchen and meeting Chad. An amazing Bartender with an even greater personality. 10/10 would come again, even if it was just for the bar.
Grabbed a last minute Expedia deal. We usually stay on Disney property but they were all booked for the marathon weekend. Chose this one for location near Disney Springs and the great deal. After reading some reviews I almost switched to the Hilton. HOWEVER, I had a really good experience. Staff were so very friendly. Quick and easy checking. Self parked and had a close spot. The room was nice. Could tell it's aging a bit but overall very clean. Comfy bed. Great view of Disney Springs. My room was at the end of the hall so very quiet. Cold AC. Hot water. It was a very good stay and I would choose them again.
B resort staff is friendly and the American Kitchen is great, Chad is a fantastic bartender and makes a mean margarita! Great customer experience. The resort is clean and in close proximity to Disney Springs and the parks.
