Detailed Reviews
After six years, my husband and I went back to Floridays from Canada. Amazingly enough, everything looked almost the same as we experienced last time. Here are some of the highlights I remembered:
1. spacious rooms (living, kitchen and bedroom) with updated furnitures: the size of the 3-bedroom was much bigger than any hotel rooms we stayed. It was nice to have free wifi, TV in each room, and washer machine.
2. shuttle bus: there were free shuttle buses that took guests to and back from Epcot each day. We used the shuttle to Epcot (about 15 minutes) and then transferred to Magic Kingdom (another 15 minutes via monorail) and Animal Kingdom (another 20 minutes by Disney bus) during our stay. For return, the latest pick up was 21:15 pm at Epcot each night. We didn't have any issue to catch the bus back after watching fireworks at Magic Kingdom; however, it would be nice to provide later bus (e.g. twice a week) for guests who want to watch fireworks at Epcot.
3. walking distance to Publix (10 minutes) and Orlando Premium Outlet (20 minutes). When picked up groceries for the first time, we drove our car, and then we picked up extra stuff as part of the after dinner walking exercise. It might be helpful to offer car sharing operation like Vrtucar, so that visitors can rent cars on site when required.
4. pool and jacuzzi: its temperature was very good, we used them to get suntan each afternoon.
5. beautiful landscaping: all the palm trees, plants, flowers and grass were so well maintained.
6. friendly and efficient staff: Ms. Turan was very quick at addressing the window issue I raised. When I asked about the background noise I heard in the bathroom, their Chief engineer (Josh) visited us immediately to investigate the issue. Robert (security guard) was always touring the site at night and greeted us whenever possible.
Overall, we had a great stay at Floridays. We also did lots of non-Disney activities such as visiting Harry Leu Garden and NASA, playing golf, and eating at different restaurants ($15 for a Chinese-Japanese Ichiban buffet that included raw oyster, crab, sushi, sashimi, etc. unbelievable price!).
We are looking forward to returning to Floridays next winter!

We were very pleasantly surprised that Floridays Resort was very much as we remembered it when we were last there a couple of years ago. Don't believe some of the bad reviews! We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who checked us in quickly and efficiently and we were within a very short time unpacking in our 2 bed apartment which we'd booked for a couple of weeks. Masks were being worn by everyone in the public reception area and there was plenty of hand sanitizer too which was very reassuring. Our apartment overlooked the lake and pool so we were delighted. Immediately on entering we just knew it was clean and everything in the apartment was in great order and is very well equipped. All the rooms are a good size and it comfortably slept 4. There is also (thankfully) a great washing machine and tumble drier in its own cupboard and this kept it very quiet. We were on the 5th floor so had a great view too and enjoyed watching the turtles and ducks on the lake from our balcony. Without doubt one of the best features at Floridays (apart from the size and comfort of the apartments) is the pool. This is designed to appeal to everyone - with half of it suitable for swimming lengths and general swimming and the other section which is shallower ideal for smaller children with its variety of play equipment. More importantly it is heated! Properly heated and open from 7am - 11pm daily which is great. Ideal for that early morning swim or an evening dip. The bar offers a variety of cocktails all at reasonable prices and the restaurant serves a variety of food again at affordable prices. As for location - I don't think it can be beaten. Perfect for the parks and shopping malls. It's not our first and it certainly wont be our last visit to this resort. For the money, size and quality of the apartments, helpfulness of the staff and location it just can't be beaten.

My family had a wonderful stay. My children loved the pool and the fact that there is a cafe/ store where they can stay at the pool all day and have close access to food and drinks. We had a clean room and House keeping made sure we was stocked up on towels and wash clothes the whole 3 days of our stay. I love how you receive text messages to make sure your stay was great and asked if anything was needed and all you have to do it text for check out so it can be less contactless. Of course the the place itself was beautiful. Everything we planned for our trip was literally no more than 15 mins away. Location was great! My family new vacation stay!

We’ve stayed at Floridays four times since 2009, and have always looked forward to returning.
We encountered a few issues this time which aren’t up to the standards from previous visits. But first, the positives:
Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a family group of seven, staying in a 3 BR suite.
We brought our own pillows and slept very well in the beds.
I love that the bedrooms have ceiling fans.
The kitchen has the basics needed for BASIC cooking. If you like to cook anything beyond frozen pizza, you may need to bring some cooking supplies from home.
The pool area was fantastic. Plenty of room, ample seating and a great bar/food area.
Location, location, location. This resort is central to everything!
Things you may need to bring from home:
1. Coffee maker: if you like your own (non-Keurig) coffee
2. Knife sharpener or your own cooking knife- if you plan to do any cooking at all
3. Cooking pans (skillet, cookie sheet, braising pans, etc)
4. Toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent
Things to be aware of:
Mostly to do with the second bathroom. There is no separation between toilet/sinks/shower. While the sink/mirror area is large (thank you), they are unusable if another family member is showering or needs to use the toilet. Not a deal breaker, but inconvenient for sure.
Now the not so positive:
1. Upon arrival (on a Friday), there seemed to be an abundance of guests who were more interested in partying than in a calm family vacation. These guests seemed to have disappeared by Monday morning, though, leaving the usual peaceful atmosphere for the remainder of our time at Floridays.
2. Issues with keys. Our door key mechanism broke shortly after arrival, causing us to have to change rooms a full day after unpacking. Not the best way to spend an evening that we were planning to spend in the parks. Then, half the keys issued did not initially work in the new room, and it took another trip to the front desk with all keys for this to remedied.
3. Water in the showers. Water pressure is abysmal. Additionally, it’s rather difficult to get a comfortable temperature. The water seems to go from cold to scalding hot within a millimeter change on the dial.
Overall, the resort still has more positives than negative, but we may seek out other options on our next trip.

+1
So the hotel staff was great. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The bartenders and kitchen crew were great. The pool, bar and store/restaurant are all very well kept and lots of fun and the food is great. The allowed us an early check-in which was fantastic.
However, the communication and follow through on the resorts end is not good. This issue started before we checked in. We tried to order the Thanksgiving meal a few days in advance, I called 3 times and no answer. I then tried to email the email given on the website for the order and it came back not deliverable. When we did arrive we noticed a few maintenance items.
One of the toilets was leaking, the shower was dripping and the king bed was so caved in the middle you slammed into each other. Maintenance came but the leaking toilet was still leaking when we left a few days later, maintenance's solution for the dripping shower was to basically shut it off so tight most in my family could not turn it back on and the bed was not addressed at all. I emailed them again and was told they would waive the resort fee but the problems were never corrected. It took 4 attempts and 2 days to get all the bedding for the couch and that was left for us in a bag.
We never once in 5 nights had housekeeping come to the room although their stand says they come once a day for garbage, refresh bathroom amenities and make beds. None of these done during our entire stay.

We booked what looked like a great deal for a long weekend getaway. This hotel should be a 2 star and we should have walked out when the lady standing in line ahead of me was actually waiting for toilet paper. We check in planning to use the kitchen, we got to the room we did see a kitchen but three of the glasses in the cupboard were cracked, only a couple plates and random silverware. Coffee machine was broken (they did replace) and there was a pot no pans. The ceiling in the bathroom start leaking directly above the toilet as the toilet was being used. The smoke detector was removed from our room, just a bracket in the ceiling where it should be. They don’t stock towels at the pool, we asked the front desk for towels 6 time throughout the first day as were the couples around us. We eventually saw saw a bag of clean towels thrown in the bushes and people had to grab from there. The water in the rooms has a really bad taste so we had to buy water and the beds are so hard you might as well sleep on the floor. Last but not least it is our last night and the front desk keeps picking up and then just hanging up the phone as we are now are trying to call for toilet paper. I called the main reservation line and was told I’m sorry but the weather in Orlando is really bad and the phones are not working. I’m here sitting on the patio and the weather Is perfect, we have also not had any issues with our room phone or our cell phones all day.

The hotel suite was nice and comfy. Location was great and transportation to Disney was great. Pool area large, very clean. They provide timely and accurate shuttles to and fro from Epcot. The bar service and bartenders excellent including one girl named Britanny (AWESOME) and the concierge George (VERY PROFESSIONAL) They advertise complimentary coffee the first morning, ie K-Cups in your hotel room, OK fine, but if each day is the same price why wasnt that provided each day?. 2. They advertise a complimentary starter kit for the washer and drying, no supplies found at all in the room 3. Advertise a complimentary breakfast, it consists of the fake frozen egg reheated on a grill and placed on a thawed out frozen bagel. I highly recommend when the CEO visits next time he/she should try the food and maybe changes will be made. 4. Service in the bar/grill is horribly slow. One day we went to Disney hungry because our food wasn't even prepared before we had to leave. 5. Had item missing in my room upon my return from Disney. 6. Wife ordered two pizzas for dinner. 58 minutes later my wife came into the room. The cook taking one of the pizzas out dropped one on the floor. Wife came back with one hot and one cold pizza. 7. Advertise a fully equipped kitchen. We had to call down to the desk to get equipment to cook with. 8. I head down to Florida again in December and believe me when I say I will not be staying nor will I ever recommend staying at the Floridays Resort in Orlando.

As someone who visits Orlando annually, my family and I have stayed at very similar places, and Floridays is so far the worst. You'll see staff running around tending to visitor trash, etc., but oddly, this place still looks dirty. Ground level elevator area is filthy and could use a power washing at bare minimum. Spilled drinks, sticky spots, it's everywhere and quite unappealing. Once off the elevator, we noticed what looks (and I'm 100% serious here) drops of blood on the walkway. Judging by the condition of the rest of the walkway, I'm not expecting these to be tended to by staff, but hopefully the forecast rain will take care of it. Once inside, trash under the sink still has popcorn and a disposable covid mask from the previous tenants (gross). The common bathroom has no soap for handwashing, the two-bed bedroom is missing a remote so we're running a remote back and forth from room to room. And finally, the sheets on our king bed has stains, and upon further examination, hairs from the previous tenants (disgusting). We called the front desk, they delivered new sheets for us to change ourselves and ended up offering us a modest discount. So here we have trash that wasn't emptied, and sheets that were never changed. Would you want to sleep in a place like that? I know I don't. I have three more nights to stay here and I have to admit, I wish I could just cash out and go somewhere else. Being exposed to someone's hair, mask, and blood is truly disgusting, I have no confidence in this place.

This was our 7th visit here. We have enjoyed staying here and recommended to others. We will not be back but are hopeful this resort can make improvements as we have many wonderful memories. The staff is wonderful and attentive. The resort seems to NOT be investing in staff/resources that made it a comfortable place to stay 8 yrs ago. Reasons we will not return:
• Dirty kitchen island upon arrival.
• No starter kit with amenities. (I called & front desk brought one asap)
• First night – Master shower and sink backed up. Shower dripped loudly all night. All three fixed the next morning as we ate our breakfast but wish our vacation wasn’t interrupted by this sort of upkeep.
• Door to the unit bent/misshapen. Could lock the door but it didn’t seem to close all the way.
• Clean but worn/dingy-looking sheets with multiple holes in Master.
• Strong smell of urine in main bathroom upon arrival that never dissipated.
• Dirty/moldy drapes leading out onto the patio.
• Malfunctioning fire alarm in our unit that the staff replaced immediately.
• No dust pan in the room. Tried to use the vacuum instead but the vacuum shot out a dust/crumb cloud that smelled like a wet dog. The cleaning lady kindly brought me a dust pan but said she couldn’t replace the vacuum bag.
• No clean towels at pool for over an hour on President’s Day.
• No soap/paper towels in womens pool bathroom on Thursday during Presidents Day week.
• Pool area tables not cleaned overnight. I cleaned one myself.
• Dirty kitchen island upon arrival.

• No clean towels at pool for over an hour on President’s Day.
• No soap/paper towels in womens pool bathroom on Thursday during Presidents Day week.
• Pool area tables not cleaned overnight. I cleaned one myself.

Disney complete, we'd booked floridays having stayed here before as we liked the separate bedrooms and it was ideally situated for the Vineland outlets, Seaworld and Discovery cove as we didn't have a car.
We arrived via lyft from a hotel near Disney Springs, check in was quick and efficient and we were positioned in block B room 202 overlooking the pool.
We had a 2 bedroom unit, this comes complete with a kitchen with full cooker, coffee machine, microwave and fridge freezer. It has a breakfast bar with two stools, a large glass table and chairs, sofa with TV and a dark balcony overlooking the pool. It has two bedrooms, the master features an ensuite complete with large whirlpool bath and separate shower. There is also a second bathroom with shower over bath and a washing machine & tumble dryer.
We struggled with the bath in the second bathroom as the plug wouldn't fit, same with the bath in the Master bedroom. You had to fill it jump in and would get water for about 10 minutes.
The cleaning could have been better my daughter found a tablet under the table, I found a contact lense on the carpet and a piece of glass and there was lots of black hair in both bathrooms.
The master bedroom faced the pool and our first night the pool music was still blaring at 11.15pm and lots of people shouting around the pool. Appreciate people are on holiday enjoying themselves, however if you're likely to want to sleep early I'd recommend being away from the pool. Music wasn't on second night as the pool area was closed due to storms and was turned off earlier on our third night.
We didn't eat any meals at the hotel or use the pool as we had our days packed out and went to publix for cooked chickens and salad bags for our evening meals and got bread, croissants and fruit for our breakfasts.
We walked to the Vineland Premium Outlet centres, took about 20 minutes and on the way back went into publix to get dinner and supplies.
Close to Sea world and discovery cove anywhere between $8 and $15 each way (I signed up to lyft and got 15% off my first 15 rides).
We like the configuration and space of these units opposed to hotel rooms, however having also stayed at the Marriott's Cypress Harbour villas later in our trip we'd definitely chose those next time over floridays, much quieter, more modern in a beautiful relaxing setting.
