We loved our 7 night stay here. It’s a bit out of the way so a car came in handy, but it’s a cheap Uber ride to International Drive. They do shuttles to Universal but we were rarely in the hotel when the booking desk was open so this was a bit of a challenge! The room was clean and spacious, loads of parking and the pools were excellent. Huge range of food outlets for you to choose from and a convenient deli/shop but it’s expensive! The team were all excellent but a big shout out to Kim at the pool bar who was a star. Really attentive, remembered who we were and was a real credit to the hotel.

Had a 16 night stay in July. First time at the Rosen Shingle Creek. Will definitely return. There were 4 of us in 2 rooms. We requested via FB messenger a high floor, rooms close together and overlooking the pool if possible and they gave us exactly that. We were on the 9th floor and fairly central looking out over the pool and golf course. As others have mentioned - the room furnishings are what some might consider a little dated but we had no issue with that. The rooms were clean and housekeeping were in every day. No matter where we were in the hotel, the staff were excellent. We had included breakfast on our booking and it was a good start to the day. The buffet has pretty much everything you might want. There is a cooked area with Bacon, Sausage, scrambled egg, potatoes etc. There is an omelette bar where they prepare fresh omelettes, poached eggs, fried eggs, waffles, benedicts etc. There is an area with fresh fruit, yogurts etc. Another area with continental style breakfast items, cooked meats, eggs, cheeses, oatmeal. And there is a bread/pastries area with a toaster, honeycomb, bread, bagels, pastries, muffins etc. Plenty of choice that allowed us to mix it up a bit over the holiday. Staff at breakfast were all great but a special mention to Luigi. He was our server on the first day and several other days and had great local knowledge and woul dhave a chat here and there when able. All staff were great and we never had to ask for coffee or fresh juice refills. The marketplace is typical of a hotel and is mostly overpriced. It does quick service style food which was OK. We had a couple of pizza slices and a couple of sandwiches but didn't use it much. The ice cream was good. There is a publix just across from the entrance to the resort (probably about a 15-20 minute walk or a short uber) so recommend using that for bits and pieces for the room that would be very expensive in the marketplace. We had parking included in our booking and had a car for most of our stay. Self parking area isn't too far a walk - 5 or 10 minutes at the most and 10 only if it is really busy. You can also enter the hotel down at the conference area if the weather is bad and walk through the hotel to the reception. The golf course looked well maintained and we had a wander round it once or twice. (Look out for the big Sandhill Cranes that wander around as though they own the place :-) The other restaurant we used in the hotel was the Mexican and it was good. Especially the house Guacamole which is prepared table-side and was delicious. We used the bar a couple of evenings for a few drinks and it was good. Usual hotel prices for drinks of course. (There is a Millers Ale House on I-drive which is ~$10-12 Uber away if you want some cheaper beer and a better range). There is also a Beer/Burger restaurant, an Italian restaurant and a more upmarket Steakhouse style restaurant. (As well as bar food at the bar and pool bar) But we didn't try these. Location is decent - not too close to anything but if you are driving then Seaworld area and Universal area are fairly close. Pointe Orlando and Ikon park pretty close too. The hotel alternated between quiet and busy depending if there were any conferences on but it was never crazy busy when we were there. Overall I would thoroughly recommend the Rosen Shingle Creek and wouldn't hesitate to return. (Already looking for next year!)

My wife had a conference here, and she was nice enough to take me along! We only stayed here for 3 days, and I can honestly say that the hotel is very nice. The only bad things that I can say about this hotel, is that they do not have any shuttle services at all, and the fact that the sink in the room was too high! I'm 5'7" and had a hard time using it. The hotel is pretty close to everything close by, even if you have to take an Uber or Lyft to get around.

Hotel is lovely can’t fault it, location and room service also excellent (cleaners amazing), towels for the pool etc but this hotel has NO life at all, it’s a business and conference hotel, not really for holiday makers on the Florida adventure dream. When we visited there was a police convention on, had to park half a mile away from the hotel, no offer to help with our bags, no smiles to get us into a holiday vibe, tried to charge us for parking and extra beds that were included etc. Was nice dragging 4 heavy suit cases half a mile after a long flight ….. inc upto the room. (Thanks ) Didn’t feel like a nice place to be at all, almost like we was an inconvenience (sour faces and attitude staff behind the counters) and then when we checked out we had the rudest young lady ever with a massive chip on her shoulder (attitude galore ). My wife even sarcastically said “I’ll wish myself a nice day then”. Horrendous customer experience, in the U.K customer service is key, the main driver to any business. Big shame as the hotel is lovely like I say, but it’s too damn big and defo not for the Brit on a Disney/universal/Florida adventure. Thankfully when we moved to our 2nd hotel we was welcomed with a smile and help with our bags and the friendly staff there made everything perfect. Round up = amazing hotel and facilities (and good cleaners) but not for holiday makers sadly.

Stayed 4 days in this hotel. The service deserves 10 out of 10. The pools are amazing, the room is spacious and super clean. As an Expedia Gold member, I got a room upgrade. We came to Orlando to celebrate my son’s birthday. The hotel surprised him with a cake, a huge balloon and a card wishing him a happy birthday. The staff makes you feel royal. I’m definitely coming back to this hotel next time I’m in Orlando

The Good: Spacious hotel on huge, manicured grounds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is attentive and well trained. There are four pools. One is designated for laps, a large family pool, a cabana pool with servers taking orders for food and drink from the pool bar that also has a hot tub, and a wading pool for babies and toddlers. The pools are open from 6am-Midnight, stocked with plenty of towels, and water coolers with cups are available in the pool areas. There are over a dozen restaurants including the market which is open 24 hours. The eateries cover a variety of cuisines and price ranges. There is also a room service menu and you are provided with a card to select your choices to have breakfast delivered to your room at an appointed time. The hotel also features a golf course and a full spa. The spa has an extensive menu and all-day access to the spa's lounge is included on the day of your treatment. The men's and women's lounges feature lockers, a hot tub, sauna, and steam room as well as a lounge to relax in with refreshments, beverages, and a TV. What Could be Better? The room rate was reasonable for what you get. There is also no daily resort fee like you find at many hotels. Beyond that though, everything is expensive. The daily cost of food for 2 people will quickly exceed the cost of the room itself. The breakfast buffet is $26/pp. A la cart breakfast will cost about that much. Lunch and dinner at any of the restaurants will run a minimum of $30/pp each. An additional 30% gratuity is tacked on to everything. Drinks at the bar are pricy as well and again, 18% is added. The market has more affordable options but is limited to sandwiches and pricey pizza. The hotel is not within walking distance of anything. You will either need a to rent a car ($25/day for parking) or to take car services to get off the property. There is a limited number of free channels on the in-room TVs. There is a decent selection of movies available on-demand but again, there is an additional charge for these options. In summary, Rosen Shingle Creek is a top-notch hotel bordering on a resort that offers just about everything you could want on vacation, just be prepared to pay top dollar for your stay. The cost for your room is just the beginning of what a stay here will cost.

Rosen is no doubt a huge property. As a conference facility, there are a lot of rooms, dining on site, some retail, and overall a decent amount of property. The staff throughout was very friendly. The room was sizeable; comfortable to stay in and work from. My only gripe, and it’s not a big one, is that their several restaurants on site are on a “rotating” opening schedule, so you’re not guaranteed to have your choice. And, like most places in Orlando, there’s nothing within easy walking distance. However, that minor issue aside, the place was clean, comfortable, and a good stay.

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? One afternoon we wanted to head over to Universal City Walk. Unfortunately, this property only offers shuttles there in the morning until 10, or back from Universal after 5 pm. Uber it was. I could understand how this property might have long term appeal for certain guests, especially if you’re looking for a golf property or convention center property, but when it comes to traveling with my family, this probably won’t be an option for us again.

My wife and I went for a business function. Our first room was several hundred feet from the elevator and then the conference room was several hundred feet from the elevator as well. By the time we went from our room to the elevator to the conference room and back, it was 30 minutes of walking. They need more elevators. The Mexican/Spanish restaurant had tortillas for their tacos that were prepared in such a way that they were hard, but they were supposed to be soft. They hardened like when a tortilla is put in a microwave, but the restaurant said that they used an oven. It ruined the tacos. The service at all the restaurants that we went to was great. In addition to the Mexican restaurant, we went to the Italian restaurant. That was nice, except the pizza was gloppy and soft in the middle, almost like it wasn't cooked all the way. The service here was very good. Vince and Amanda were very good. We ended up switching rooms on our second night to one closer the elevator. The place is huge. Massive ceiling heights enough to make Cirque Du Soliel happy, The pools were nice and the pool service was good. The adult pool was full of kids and everyone was nice. It was a family atmosphere. The resort is located near Orlando for easy access to just about anything.

Several things. All services were great, rooms grounds nice clean. Food, beverages very expensive and they add gratuity to everything. We’re a very large rowdy (several thousand of us) crowd. Bars shut down at 10:00pm ?? Thank goodness for Publix across the way for more adult beverages. We tried to have a good time-not overly loud-at the pool just wanted to do karaoke and they shut us down again Friday night 10:00pm. So we all started just singing. Moose international convention has thousands of people and we’re spending Millions at your facility. Please let us have some fun… maybe next time they will be more prepared. Would love to return again for another visit, hopefully we can.
