Was able to stay in a two bedroom, however, the one bedroom was large enough for 4 people. Bathrooms were spacious and kitchen was perfect. Saved us money between breakfast and lunch in the room. The washer/Dryer was the best part of room and helped immensely especially after getting caught in a few rain storms. Staff was cheerful and always eager to help. Resort was big but nicely laid out. Pool was large enough to never feel crowded. Had some nite life as well but we did mot go in. Despite the size it never seemed overly loud. Location was key here. Five minute walk to EPCOT World Showcase and to Skyliner to Holly wood studios. Boat launch was i. This area as well. Can not wait to stay here again.
First off, I would like to thank the front desk team for their help. Our in room washer and dryer ruined something of sentimental value to us. Front desk worked really hard to try to find a replacement. When that was not able to be found, they found us something very cute. Thank you!!! Ok. Yes, the rooms could stand a refresh. That should NOT prevent you from booking a vacation at Boardwalk! The rooms are still pretty fantastic! If you are a Food and Wine fan, Boardwalk is a must do!!!!! It could not be any easier to just stroll from the hotel into the back of Epcot. Zero and I mean zero stress getting to and from Epcot. Hollywood Studios too. But being able to just stroll home from Epcot is priceless. It is also nice being so close to the Skyliner. Jumped on that and dinner at the top of Riviera. No need for an Uber for an awesome dinner. We were told the breakfast is great there too. Pretty cool to also sit on the Boardwalk and watch fireworks. See photo. All cast members were nice. Everything was clean. Pool and waterside were fun. Happy with our stay and thanks again!…
I recently had a split stay at the boardwalk, the first night was absolutely horrible, The room smelled like mold, and there were bugs biting us all night, we went to use the blanket in the closet and it smelled as if something had died in it, so we placed it by the door. We reported it to the front desk who didn't seem to care at all, we were then moved to our boardwalk view room which is nice and didn't have the awful smell to it. There are several restaurants in the area, but the quick service is limited compared to other deluxe resorts.
Went right to our room. Our room number was 3012. Room was clean, but at the other end of the resort. Close to the Jellyrolls/Dance club. The one bedroom was not a lock off which is nice because we did not hear our neighbors. Our room was also an end unit so we did not have a room behind us. Very quiet area (which we love). We took the stairs because the wait for the 3 only elevators takes a while. Our room bedroom had sleeping for 4, king size bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed for 2. Our only issue was the king size bed was uncomfortable. Since we were only here for 2 nights we did not use the pool or do anything on the boardwalk. We came in for HS DVC Moonlight Magic and Savor the Savanna at AK. We actually used the Minnie Van for the first time since 2020 and it is expensive, but to us worth it. We did a round trip from AK. We always enjoy our stay at the Boardwalk.…
Stayed in a DVC Villa at this resort for the third time. We have not been in a few years. Food options are very limited if you are looking for quick service - specifically if you have any dietary restrictions. Disney has always accommodated our children with their dairy allergy but at the Boardwalk resort we were unable to get anything for lunch and were turned away at Boardwalk Pizza, Boardwalk-to-Go and Boardwalk Bakery. After becoming very frustrated at Boardwalk Bakery, they were suddenly able to make a half sandwich for my hungry kids. Ridiculous. Even the Trattoria Al Forno had only one option for a dairy allergy on the Mobile To Go options. The remainder of our stay we had to eat outside of the resort. Will not stay here again... Certainly not what we have come to expect from Disney as DVC members and quite disappointing. Beyond that - walk to the room was extremely far. Make a room request to be near the elevator! …
We stayed for a week. Great location. The boats came every 15 minutes for both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We had a pool view but we couldn’t see over our balcony. If we sat in the chairs we had a view of the balcony wall. It was disappointing. We had good luck with the buses to Magic Kingdom they came very constantly. Didn’t need to wait long at all. We did however wait over an hour in the heat for a bus to bring us back from Animal Kingdom. This was in the afternoon. Three or four buses came for the resorts next to our stop. After several hours in the park it was not enjoyable at all. We just wanted to go back and rest. Then once back to the resort. I went to take a shower only to find out we had no hot water. Yes I know we were hot and sweaty, but I do like a hot shower. I would have even enjoyed a warm shower. But it was cold.…
Our room wasn’t ready until well after five but we only Knew that because we happened to keep checking the app. We received no notification. Upon reaching our room, it smelled awful like nursing home urine and disgusting public school locker room. The source of the stench was the entire bathroom. We were not able to have a different room as they were at capacity. There was no soap/shampoo/towels/plates but there were three sugars for the coffee so I suppose that’s a plus? Called to receive what should have been stocked and received some of it. There was barely any hot water in the digesting shower that I attempted to clean myself to try to minimize the stench. The pool area food and “service” is a disgrace, there was one server that was supposed to exist but it was more like a legend because we never a saw one, the lifeguards provided two sad cheap volleyballs for the children. It was seriously embarrassing to see the kids try to obtain one to be told that there were only TWO. We ran out of there early in the morning, and found vomit in the hallway and when we reported it to the front desk they repeated the sane line saying it will get cleaned but they’re understaffed. We went to universals literal cheapest property which far exceeded our experiences at boardwalk by having QR codes on lounge chairs to order food delivery to your pool chair (which were plentiful) a menu of good food, beach balls and noodles for the children in the pool, and friendly service plus actual housekeeping and a concierge person that texts you regularly. Somehow universal is not facing the “staffing issue” that Disney is using as a constant excuse for cost cutting, bad service, and relying on the name to maintain profits. The only advantage is the close location to Epcot but that only goes so far when you can take Lyft from anywhere to the boardwalk. We are done waiting for Disney to improve, which is sad as we tried really hard to support them during Covid but I’m afraid that was taken as a sign that they can operate like a motel 6 and still make money.…
We stayed in a one bedroom villa at the Boardwalk Villas with our two young children. The room was quite spacious and had two bathrooms, full kitchen and a washer/dryer. The location of this resort is second to none and is walking distance to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. We would stay at this resort again.
You know Disney is throwing in the towel with service and quality when people who have visited since the 1980s, and owned Disney Vacation Club for the last 8 years are done. We've watched things gradually go downhill even pre-pandemic, and since we've loved Disney for so long we made plenty of exceptions and allowances we never would of other destinations. This last trip was the nail in the coffin though. We arrive to our room to find it looking worn and not overly clean, it had only decaffeinated coffee, not enough towels for the guests staying in the room, only about 3 paper plates for a 7 day stay. We had to call multiple times for necessities and wait so long to get them. Things that should be standard like soap, enough towels, coffee with CAFFEINE, enough utensils and plates in a villa, we felt like we had to constantly BEG for. Housekeeping seemed pretty nonexistent. The fold out couch was awful and the springs were really sticking out but they could not provide a mattress topper (said they were all out?) The fire alarm was tested, which we could understand is necessary safety thing sometimes. However, they tested it three days in a row for well over an hour. Nothing like coming back to your hotel room to relax in the afternoon and having to retreat to the balcony THREE days in a row to avoid the ear piercing sound. Elevators of course were down again (surprise) We were staying on a RunDisney race weekend and the bus just never showed up until just before the race. Lots of guests asked hotel mgmt for help and got nowhere. Lots of people missed their starting times and we had to run to make our corral, despite showing up well ahead of when we were told to be there. The hotel mgmt could care less. You'd think they could have contacted someone. The regular park busses were always crowded too. Standing room every single time in the morning and the evening, and there is no line to board so it's chaos of people crowding to get on and get ahead of each other. With a special need kiddo with a hidden disability this is ESPECIALLY trying. We ended up having to drive ourself to parks most of the time (so why pay the premium for a dirty on site hotel anymore?) You should not get worse service at Disney Vacation property that's certainly pricey than you get at a cheaper Hampton or something. If this was a one off experience that would be one thing too, but we've stayed about 5-6 weeks total over the last 3 years and each experience was pretty similar. Such a shame.…
This is our DVC Home Resort, so we stay here frequently. The rooms are very nice and very clean. Decor may be a little dated, but still very good rooms. However, service does need to improve. Ice and Vending machines on our floor (5th) were out of service during most of our stay. Food choices are very limited and over saturated (Wait time for a pizza at the Pizza Window on a Wednesday night was 100 minutes, no kidding). If you have Uber Eats, use it. Still a great hotel to stay at.
