Nice hotel in a great position. Pool and facilities good and room was cleaned daily. Very comfortable bed and helpful staff on reception. We liked the breakfast buffet at Cafe Matisse and the shop/ snack bar. We were staying on the 10th floor At 3am in the morning one night there was banging and shouting in the corridor and we thought some guests were having an argument until we could smell smoke. When leaving the room the corridor was filled with smoke so we descended the stairs and assembled outside with other guests. A number of fire engines arrived and after some time we were allowed into the lobby. Fans were used to clear smoke from the corridor and we were allowed back to our rooms. No-one offered a drink while we waited. A cup of tea or coffee might have been nice. We were woken by other guests and not smoke detectors. Luckily it was a small electrical fire involving a ceiling light fitting close to our room No member of staff mentioned the incident or gave any explanation, as if it had never happened. A bit bizarre.…
Stayed at Rosen plaza hotel for 23 nights in December. Excellent location at quiter end of international drive but minutes from restaurants and shops. Check in was quick and friendly, room was lovely, furniture a little dated but high quality with plenty of drawers and hanging space very comfy bed plenty of plugs coffee maker and small fridge, room was serviced every day, on a few days we were still in the room but housekeeping came back later in the day. Towels and toiletries re stocked daily. Pool area was lovely, pool warm and area very clean, Towels always well stocked, hot tub. Pool restaurant/bar was great if you didn't want to leave hotel to eat burgers fries ect. We loved this hotel and woukd definitely stay again, there was a few events taking place but this did not effect our stay at all other than car park was busy. Security was very good. My only complaint was buying steak and fries for 1 person from Jack's place to take to room in a plastic take away box, $65.00!! There was a storm so Pool restaurant was closed and I personally feel the staff at Jack's took advantage of us, even tried to say we'd given the wrong money()not enough when we knew we hadn't, my partner explained exactly which notes he'd handed over and the guy just oh OK, I think we were taken advantage of, but I don't believe this reflects on the hotel its self just be aware of take away prices before you order from Jack's.…
Another excellent stay at our chosen accommodation on International Drive. The location is perfect for us and the rooms and bright and spacious and suit our needs well. Housekeeping every day, bedding changed every few days. Room as always spotless. Amazing facilities all round. We'll be back!
NARPM Florida State Chapter has been thrilled to have our Strategic Planning Summit at The Rosen Plaza on International Drive in Orlando. From the tour back in January, to the planning and the execution of the event the staff at Rosen was beyond professional and friendly. Their attention to detail for presentation and ability to make you feel welcome was outstanding. We have hosted many events at venues throughout Flordia and I can say I personally have never found a more welcoming and hospitable venue!!! If we could use The Rosen Plaza for all our future events we would!!
We hosted our annual Awards Ceremony at Rosen Plaza! Best banquet and sales team ever! John and Amanda were professionals all the way! Cant wait to host our next event here! Everyone was stellar with customer service from the front desk upon check in to the valet staff when leaving, everyone was so accommodating and made you feel like a VIP! The banquet halls were clean, pristine and updated! AV equipment was top notch! Cant say enough about it!!
On arrival at the hotel, I showed my accommodation voucher, which confirmed that it included free parking and breakfast. This was confirmed by the reception staff and I was eventually issued with the vouchers. I also completed my car details on the parking system. On check out, the reception staff confirmed all was in order. Lo and behold, a few days later I had $250 removed from my credit card. I queried this and I was sent a receipt from a Sam Cronk showing charges for parking and breakfast. Despite me confirming and sending documents, there was no reply. Fortunately I was still in the IDrive area so popped in to sort it out after 2 trips. The money has now been funded, albeit with me losing $10 in international transaction charges from my card issuer. Disgraceful service. I had a further stay in the Rosen Pointe which was a far better experience. I won’t even start of the shambles of their fire alarm response when it went off at 4 in the morning. People wandering in and out of the hotel and absolutely no communication to tell us what was going on. Book at your peril!!…
The only good thing to report about this hotel is the quality of the television set. The rooms are just ok with the usual amenities, safe, coffeemaker and fridge. Most of the staff that I had to deal with were unfriendly, inhospitable and rather authoritarian. No extra charges or meals were taken there because of poor treatment and of course there will be no further business with this organization.
How many things are wrong with this hotel? Food is lousy. Room has not been updated since 2002, no functioning business center, closes as noon, breakfast buffet is expensive an crappy, staff is so underwhelming to be a joke. All this hotel has in location. Truly mediocre a courtyard or fairfield is nicer. avoid this dump
Rosen Plaza, you really let me down. If you look at past reviews from me, I have been a regular, and usually have great experiences at your property. In the past, I even told your sister property, the Centre, that they needed to meet your standards, that was a truly awful stay at their location. Here is why you fell short this time, the room was not clean, there was garbage, a shopping bag of it next to the bed, and empty wine cartons (ewwww, boxed wine! LOL). I know you were quickly trying to turnover rooms to accommodate cheerleaders arriving for their competition at the OCCC, but come on, removing garbage is like, first step of cleaning. It really felt like the room had only been freshened up, after seeing that, not cleaned as it should be, between guests. I’d have rather waited for a truly clean room, than to have this happen. I’ll give you a four instead of a three, because this has not been the usual at your property, and we stay here pretty often, hopefully next month’s stay will be up to the usual standards.…
Finally got to visit here after a long wait thanks to covid. Was not disappointed! Emailed ahead of arrival to request a room on a high floor to take advantage of the views and was put on 10th floor with a view of the pool. The room was adequate for our 14 night stay but I did expect it to be slightly larger and although comfortable, it is in need of an update as it is tired in places. Good coffee maker in the room, and plenty of free water stations and ice machines dotted around the hotel and pool area. All staff we encountered were helpful and friendly, in particular the girls working at the pool bar. The hotel is a great size and although it had a lot of guests staying for conferences, we always got sunbeds at the pool on the days we decided to rest from the parks but shade is definitely needed due to the intense Florida heat in July! Lovely pool area and great to use at night times with a good atmosphere. Liked the free towels around the pool which you could help yourself to when needed. We ate at the pool bar quite a few times both during the day and a couple of times at night when we were too tired to go out. Was not disappointed with the quality and portion size. The inside bar did get particularly busy at night times with conference guests. We used the takeaway service for breakfast most days and in particular enjoyed the healthy takeaway area which always seemed popular. We used the hotel shop on a regular basis and found this useful. Have to say that we expected the price of food and drink to be high but wow, everthing was overly priced (this was the case in all restaurants and bars we visited, not just the hotel), but we tried not to worry about this while we were away as we had waited so long for the holiday! Used both the hotel shuttle to / from Universal Studios which was approx 15 minutes away and also used Uber. The journey to Disney Parks took approx 30 mins and we found the Uber prices changed dramatically depending on time of day. Overall, a great hotel in a perfect location on International Drive and close to so many restaurants and bars.…
