I stayed at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge-Boulder Ridge Villas in September, 2022. I stayed in a Deluxe Studio. The idea behind the Wilderness Lodge is to make you feel like you are staying at a lodge in a national park. And this is accomplished admirably, from entering the resort area, to the beautiful lobby, to the magnificent grounds. I have stayed at most of the Disney Deluxe Resorts and visited all of them, and in my opinion, Wilderness Lodge is perhaps the most beautiful of all; Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Jambo House lobby might be more impressive, but the grounds around Wilderness Lodge are nicer. I stayed in the Boulder Ridge building, which adjoins the main building. The resort has a beautiful main pool, with a small water slide. There is also a “quiet pool.” There is a daily pool party for the kids at the main pool (some activities are also fun for adults). One of the best amenities is the boat that goes to and from Magic Kingdom—very convenient! Now about my room. Unfortunately, I had the dreaded “Dumpster view” room. Not really Dumpsters, but a view overlooking the towel laundry facility. C’mon Disney—can’t you put an awning over it so people paying so much for a room don’t see it? The Boulder Ridge building is being refurbished, and the rooms completely re-done. So I won’t bother addressing some issues with the room, as hopefully they will be taken care of in the refurbishment. This was my second stay at Wilderness Lodge, and I can honestly say I miss it and eagerly look forward to going back someday.

This was the third time we have stayed at the Boulder Ridge Villas at the Disney's Wilderness lodge. We love the laid back feeling of the resort, especially the rocking chairs in the central area. Staff was excellent at the resort and the housekeeping team went out of their way to be of assistance to us. Had issue with getting into room with phone, but quickly resolved with visit to front desk (turned out to be my own issue). Eating options were good, although the atmosphere at the Whispering Canyon Cafe was not quite the same due to the Covid restrictions; but two thumbs up to the wait staff for making the best of a bad situation. The Boulder Ridge Cove Pool was great and the bar/food attendant was efficient and made sure we always had what we needed. Others have noted the dating of the rooms, but we feel this adds to the character of the resort. Look forward to staying at the Boulder Ridge Villas again in the future.

Avoid at all cost. Construction from before 8 am and can be heard in all rooms. Construction crew are every where all day no matter the floor. We were on the second and 5th floors and it was the same, horrible air quality , workers always making you feel you are in the way. The constant pounding can be heard every where , not relaxing. Hallways are covered in plastic , dust and building supplies. Very disappointed. Fyi … you can’t avoid no matter your room.

Took the whole clan for a week at Disney and stayed at Boulder Ridge since it's our DVC Home resort. There were 7 of us in a 2 bedroom lockoff and a studio down the hall. We were on the ground floor poolside and the location of the rooms was perfect. First off, check in, getting settled, and grocery delivery all went smoothly. We had to request extra keys for the suite since we all wanted access to the kitchen and that was no problem for the front desk staff. In fact, all of the staff we encountered (sorry, Cast Members) were friendly and accommodating. Everything in both our rooms and the common areas was spotlessly clean and well maintained, but the rooms are certainly in need of a re-do. Nothing glaring, but plenty of signs of wear. We loved the new pool at the Villas, and there is nothing as convenient as the boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom. Overall and wonderful stay.

DVC member who rented points. Beautiful majestic resort with great customer service. We loved the Whispering Canyon Cafe , the villas pool and the size of the resort. We didn’t like having to leave the pool to refill mugs, no shade at boat launch to Magic Kingdom especially in July heat, no shade at some bus stops and not enough benches. One of the refillable drink stands didn’t open until 11 am most days which meant a longer walk most mornings. We loved watching fireworks at night, the overall friendliness at the resort (both guests and cast members). Also loved all the little seating areas in the hotel lobby and throughout the floors. Always a spot to relax. We would definitely return again.

Joined DVC almost 10 years ago and have visited the lodge many times but first stay here. Loved our stay here and would definitely return. Asked for a room close to main lodge and we were not disappointed with 3rd floor room over looking the BR quiet pool. Pros—room seems more spacious than other DVC studios and like the Murphy bed for kids, counter service close to BR pool, concierge on site during day (always busy so couldn’t even get a question answered because he was inching someone’s fast passes up in five minute increments on the guest’s phone), parking and bus stop close, nice common areas, very beautiful and felt like I was in Wyoming and not Florida. Negatives—thought going to other MK area resorts would be more convenient with boat but it wasn’t, need more food options at new Geyser Point pool bar, wish there was a larger slide and water play area (like Poly) after pool refurb, and have to leave both pool areas for good or mug refill. My biggest regret is not scheduling more resort time to fish, boat, bike but I am already planning my next trip!

This was our 3rd time but my sister’s family’s first—there were 9 of us. Beautiful view of the lake and pool and got to see the fireworks every night from our balcony. Both pools were awesome but we got our own cabana at the Boulder Ridge pool. The grounds and the lighting were beautifully lit at night and very well kept. The staff was super friendly as usual. The food at Roaring Forks was great everyday for breakfast and we loved the drinks at Geyser Point. We had a wonderful stay!

These rooms are terrible for a value or moderate resort at WDW, but for a luxury resort it's awful, really. They're much more poorly maintained than anything I have ever seen before at WDW. Dull lighting with outdated bulbs, fixtures that don't match each other and/or are loose is the norm from what I see. I know they're themed to be rustic, but I was hoping for a bit more quality rustic than motel 6 from 1990 rustic.

This was our first visit to Boulder Ridge villas. It was perfect for our family vacation! Check in was a breeze! We dropped our bags with the bellman and enjoyed the resort amenities until our villa was ready. We received a text and our luggage was delivered to our villa. The theming is perfection right down to the erupting geyser. Beautiful hotel! The amenities are great! There are several restaurants to choose from and the food was average for WDW. We loved the choice of boat or bus to visit the Parks. Fireworks were visible from the resort as well as the Electric Boat Parade. We had campfire and s’mores in the evenings….the kids loved this! The staff were welcoming and courteous. Special shout out to our bellman Ricardo and life guard Joshua (I think, May 19 slide side of pool in the afternoon). While I’m giving kudos James the photographer at the MK entrance on morning of May 20 was SUPERB! BR may be my favorite resort at WDW!

I wish o could say that I would love to stay again, but I can’t. I will not ever be staying here again. The front desk associate that I had to deal with after the Initial check in was rude. Plain and simple, with eye rolling added in. I’ve had bad experiences with the front desk years ago and quit staying here , but love the look of the resort and the food offerings so we decided to try staying here again. Nope. Still nasty inconsiderate cast members. The cleaning staff needs a huge refresher course and how to properly clean a room, and quicker, maybe instead of standing in the halls on their phones or gossiping with one another things would move faster and done better. The only pleasant experience was the wait staff at the Whispering canyon and the boat skippers are awesome as always. The common areas were clean and smelled good but not happy at all with the villa. I bring disinfectant wipes and believe me I used them.
