Stayed for 6 nights here, wishing we have had time to explore the hotel more, we were too busy visiting the parks LOL But overall, it was a great experience despite the lack of time to stay at the hotel and just relax. I've at least managed to do a morning walk one day when we planned to hit the parks later in the morning. It was a great relaxing walk, makes the 10 minute walk to the lobby and beyond that a breeze as there's just so much to keep you preoccupied. Even a walk along the water was pleasant. The weather probably played a big factor too. We stayed at the Little Mermaid, it's definitely worth it, even with the longer walk. I've stayed at hotels where we've had to walk to the bus station or train station and it's no different. In fact, this walk was much nicer. The doors are metal and you can put magnets. We reused the ones we used during our cruise just before visiting AOA. Made it easier to identify our room even from afar. Didn't see many people doing the magnet stuff. The room size was ok despite some people complaining about it. It's a normal hotel room. The beds are high, which I don't necessarily like, but they allowed space for luggage if needed. We actually had space to lay our luggage on the floor after some rearranging. The orange plastic chairs also acted as bed rails, we put them in the middle between two beds, for fear that the kids might fall off the high beds. We had 2 queens and the 2nd bed was laid out too near the door though making it hard to walk out, it could have easily been moved just a by a bit but maybe the themed headboard was placed too near the door. Not a big issue but some flaw in their interior design. Mattresses were comfy and linens were clean and crisp. Towels were plentiful as well. H20 shampoo, conditioner and soap were provided in dispensers. I like the eco-friendly set up but small Disney labeled containers would have provided a great souvenir LOL. I heard they had lotions before. That hasn't been available when we went, and I also heard they're retiring the H20 line. Sad as these are wonderful products. The refrigerator was cold enough to store food, basically our breakfast (cheeses, orange juice, milk, salmon, etc), which we bought from Costco. I read about the cooler types not cold enough. Maybe ours was the older ones and haven't been changed to cooler type refrigerators. We didn't overload it if that helps. The decor was absolutely charming. It's played a big part in us enjoying our rooms. The bathroom was also themed with the painted tiles and the Little Mermaid Curtains. The sink area also had an additional curtain which is great when one wakes up early to dress up and wash up while others are still asleep. Love the access to the skyliner. Even when it's rush hour, the line kept moving, no real boring waits. And provides a unique transportation experience especially for the kids and adults alike. One night coming back from Hollywood Studios, the line was really really long, but it went pretty quickly and we were home in no time. Can't get that same speed with the buses. The cast members were great, they were very helpful and avoided inconveniences. Front desk staff assisted with posting my gift card and let me know to do it prior to the automatic posting on my credit card. He also followed through with back office when I had to call in from my room with my GC number which I didn't bring with me when I passed by front desk. This saved me a walk to and from the LM rooms to the lobby. The process went seamlessly without a hitch even if I didn't have my info ready the first time. Another cast member at the shop welcomed us on our first day and gave us valuable tips on how to save money, offered us options on refillable cups and ponchos that can be replaced unlimited times when torn, without being too pushy. Also more importantly, gave us valuable information about crowds etc and how to get around them despite it being Memorial Day. I would highly recommend this hotel. Pricey yes, but all worth it at the end of the day.…
