From the most comfortable bed to the amenities and the staff this stay could not have been better! Anything we needed was attended to with courtesy and quickly. Manny,Nanuel, Josh and Shawn were excellent at Jacks bar. Best OldFashioned I have had! Thanks to all staff for making our stay exquisite
(Note: This post is delayed and reflects my experience as a guest in the Midpointe Hotel just before the height of the global pandemic...I hope that the increased emphasis on cleanliness and infection control around the world has helped to create more positive experiences for current and future guests at this hotel.) I traveled to Florida to participate in a conference held at the Orange County Convention Center. I selected Midpointe because of the short walking distance to the convention and low price (which was important at the time when thinking about employee reimbursement). My experience was immediately soured at check-in by Madeleine and her version of "customer service." She seemed oddly irritated as if my sheer presence was an inconvenience to her and her personal time. She refused to assist with having my luggage stored until a room became available for check in -- turning to ask the security guard "Do I look like I get paid to deal with bags?" Moving forward a couple of hours, I was thankful when a room became available for early check-in as I'd been traveling for hours and looked forward to settling into my room. I went to said room, unpacked my luggage, and went to the bathroom where I was immediately greeted by a roach and hair on the floor from a previous guest. While I was stunned by this unexpected "roommate," I accepted that I traveled here for work and had to get moving with my first conference event. I had such a short visit that I tried to ignore the disappointment of the one roach. I walked to the local Walgreen's, purchased some Clorox wipes, and figured I would push forward. I did some cleaning, noted the conditions of the room, and tried to keep a positive outlook. That is...until a few hours later when I saw a second roach. At this point, I went to management (with photos in tow) and reported my concern. I talked to Monique in management who offered to change my room assignment OR have someone from housekeeping return to my room to perform a “deep cleaning.” I chose the second option figuring if this was a problem in one room, it was probably an issue throughout the hotel. That night, when I returned from my afternoon courses, I saw a third roach and decided enough was enough. I insisted on being able to check out early without penalty. I spoke with Charlie from management who verified I could check out the following morning, would not be held liable for the remainder of the days I already reserved, and would receive a discount on the one-night stay. I didn’t sleep that night and kept all the lights on until I left so I could watch for repeat critters (of which I saw one more before actually checking out). I was thankful to finally leave the next morning and check in to a neighboring hotel. I'm posting this despite the delay and am doing so optimistically as I hope the issues I encountered have not been replicated by later guests (or are in the process of being resolved for the benefit of future guests). Overall Pros: proximity to the convention center, price, responsiveness of management Overall Cons: condition of the room, unpleasant interactions with front desk staff, confusion regarding the depth of a "deep cleaning", was informed at check out that there was no corporate office for me to contact directly to communicate my complaints…
clean, nearby universal studios, free parking, no food inground but plenty of restaurants pharmacies at a walking distance, rosen centre is also nearby, nice beds small rooms not the kind of place to hang out but it is good place to crash after a long day
Location was good and there was shuttle to universal studios Hotel building needs improvement specially the bathroom it is totally miss and we tried to change the room but reception and hotel manager didn’t take it seriously However after one day we moved to another room but it was same issues They recharge for any shipments from online purchases 10 usd per shipment
The room was a very basic mediocre motel room. The phone in the room did not work. The safe in the room did not work. The staff person who came to fix things was lovely, friendly, and helpful. He was able to fix the safe but the phone never did work. Not a big deal unless of course there were to be a state of emergency where all cell towers were down. During the COVID-19 crisis that is a valid concern. The hotel should have taken this more seriously. The lady cleaning the room one day refused to leave when I came back to my room and asked for privacy. The hotel needs to train their staff to allow for guests to return to their rooms with an expectation of privacy. The work-around was that we agreed she need not come back to finish cleaning. Perhaps the management could train staff on accommodating customers when they want access to their room.…
I was trying to find a room for my mother n law because the hotel we were staying in was sold out. I figured this being the same company and the price would be nice plus it was literally right down the street! Well, this is nothing but a Super 8 motel. room smelled like urine, could feel the springs in the bed, no working phone, just NASTY!!! This place is really a disservice to the Rosen brand. This motel charge more than the extravagant one we stayed in. $510 for three nights in a rat looking infested place. I cannot believe this hotel was in the middle of Orlando. Never again!
The hotel staff was nice and friendly. My plane arrived pretty late so the check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were standard. Two queen beds and they were comfortable. The room had a mini-fridge which was a plus. I was attending a Flight Attendant Interview that was being held next door at the Rosen Centre Hotel. It was a 4-minute walk over so the location was perfect. Great value for your money. No food on site but plenty of restaurants in the vicinity.
We spent here only one night after Disney but I cannot tell one bad thing about this place.Great location in quiet area. We had a suite on the floor which was large and comfortable. Everything was clean. Staff very friendly and helpful
Staff was great, very friendly and accommodating. I was in a suite, and my microwave didn't work. I notified the front desk, and within 30 minutes or so, they were able to exchange the broken one for a new one. The bathrooms need updating. There was rust around the drain and around the spout. Water pressure was terrible, and the shower head is too low--I'm 5'4" and had to stoop and bend over to wash my hair. Overall, excellent location if you're attending a conference at the convention center, and can't beat the price.
Room was ok. Nothing spectacular, bed, sheets and bathroom clean enough. Carpet on floors may need more vacuuming and cleaning. Iron was stained, had to ask for replacement. You may expect some late night talkers on the balcony outside that may interfere with your sleep.
