Wow. We encountered some of the most horrible people on earth. These were the guests. Screaming and yelling in the parking lot, in the rooms on each side of ours. We thought they had their TV's turned up so we muted ours and listened. It turned out to be the guests fighting. The road noise was unbearable ALL night. The single pain windows do nothing to stop the noise and neither do the paper thin walls. The continental breakfast was none existent and while I commend them for trying they should just stop altogether during the pandemic. We will without a doubt never stay here again but take your chances if you feel adventurous but you won't be able to say I didn't warn you. LOL!!!
Spent 2 nights at this location. Room was nice and slept the 5 of us comfortably. Clean and reasonably priced. While breakfast was good, but the lady operating the breakfast area had the personality of stone. She lacked personality, never smiled, or spoke to anyone. Felt like we were being watched as we ate. Only other issue was parking. Very few spaces available and had to park across the street.
Hotels have one job: provide a good nights sleep and the Comfort Suites Downtown Orlando failed miserably in that responsibility. At about 11 pm I attempted to fall asleep when the couple next door decided to get into a heated argument. In most hotels this wouldn't be a big deal because the walls are thick enough to mask or muffle sounds, but not at this hotel, I could hear these people clear as a bell through the thin walls. In other hotels you can usually turn the A/C to a "fan" setting that emits white noise to drown out sounds but not this hotel. The A/C would go on for 10 minutes and off for 10 minutes. So I'd drift off to sleep while the fan was on and then get rudely waken when the fan went off and I heard the people in the next room. Around 12:30 am, with the couple next door still loudly yapping away, I had enough and went out to the front desk to ask about changing rooms. The clerk said he would go walk by my room to see if he heard the loud talking but could not do it that minute. OK, no problem. I went back and tried to get some sleep but that loud couple kept at it til 3 am in the morning! Needless to say the night clerk never checked or followed up with me. I had to wake up at 5 am so I barely got 2 hours sleep. And I had a job interview that morning! So if you must stay at this hotel bring ear plugs! The only reason I didn't give this place zero stars is because it is in a good location with a Wendy's and Panera Bread across the street, and the room itself was OK. But as you can tell I will never stay here again! Oh, and the room cost almost $200 for one night. So I basically paid $100 for each hour of sleep I was able to get.…
For medical reasons we have stayed at this hotel several times, the latest being a 5 night stay while my wife had surgery. We didn't know for certain how long she would be in so I made a reservation to take into account a few extra days just in case. I explained this to Joyce at the front desk when I checked in. Joyce is my rock star hero! She took great care of us and worked with me so that I could check out as soon as we knew when my wife was being discharged. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The amenities are good, the breakfast buffet is more than sufficient to get a good start to the day. The room was always clean on arrival and the cleaning staff does a great job with daily cleanup. Also, they are flexible enough to make the room up a certain way (without duvet) so that it was comfortable for us. Thank you Comfort Suites. We will be back. Another great feature is that they have a hospital rate for families of those having procedures at the AdventHealth, Orlando hospital that saves about $50/night. Joyce richly deserves any promotion she might be in line for.…
We recently travelled to Orlando for a family medical emergency. We booked this hotel because it was near the hospital(s) and wanted something that was close in and affordable. We were not disappointed....Denese and Johnell made our visit exception with the can do attitude and caring for our needs, especially during a difficult time with the medical uncertainty. What was only supposed to be two days turned into four and the medical issues still persist. However, Denese was able to accommodate us and eased the costly burden of a lengthy stay. The room was magnificent and the full breakfast in the morning was enjoyable and quick so we could get right over to the hospital We will stay here again. It was a wonderful experience.
