The hotel was divine.. No issues at check in and the actual room was nice and clean. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite with a balcony. Balcony was super spacious and the ceiling fan was a plus. All the appliances were stocked to enjoy and prepare a meal even though we didn’t cook. The bathroom was nice and the led lighting was helpful while getting ready along with the full length mirror. The grounds and pool area was nice. I honestly have no cons. If I had to nitpick I would say there could’ve been more umbrellas by the pool. Even though there were lots of seating, you had to get there early to ensure you received a nice shaded area with umbrellas. Overall I would definitely stay there again. It was convenient to the parks.
This year was definitely a different experience at the resort. I am an owner and have been coming to the resort for the past 10 years. Most of the time I can speak highly of the resort. Marriot has taken over the resort from sheraton and the difference is seen immediately. The resort is short on staff in every department. When I asked why I was told its because pDisney pays a much higher rate. The cleanliness of rooms has declined significantly. It used to be fun to check in and you were able to receive your bag of goodies provided to owners. Now you get nothing. Your room is assigned when you make your reservation and they do not allow room assignment changes. One of the biggest differences I noticed was there were no longer life guards at the pool to enforce rules and ensure safety for the children. There were kids running on the pool decks with no supervision. The edge of the pool had beer cans and even a couple of bottles. Where is the staff to once again provide a safe fun environment. Mind you this was all happening at the pool with the kids pirate ship. The scene reminded me of spring break in Panama city at club LA vela. I was wondering if perhaps there was going to be a wet t shirt contest. This resort has to do better. We pay to much in dues to be subject to an environment like this. Another thing is this resort needs a traffic light at its entrance/exit. You take your life into your own hands trying to get on or leave the property because of the speed drivers are driving and traffic on International Drive. What will it take to get a light here. Is someone going to have to get injured in an automobile accident in order for this problem to be fixed? …
Just stayed here for 5 days/4 nights on the 5th floor Building 8 with a partial view of the Bella pool and a nice pond with a fountain. Usually stay on property at Universal (Portofino, Hard Rock, Sapphire, Royal Pacific, Cabana Bay) or Disney (AKL, Grand Destino, Dolphin, Waldorf) and appreciate really nice, clean resorts. Tried this place for a different type of vacation after receiving an offer in the mail. Will never return. The room was big and spacious but very musty and dirty feeling. Layout in the master is a little weird and dated but at least there are two sinks. Shower pressure in the children’s bathroom was weak. Showers need a good cleaning. Carpets and furniture too. Room towels didn’t smell or feel clean but thankfully didn’t smell like rotten milk like the pool towels. Pools were okay but get very, very crowded in afternoons. (I never saw any lifeguards.) Market place is super small and expensive. Didn’t try the pool bar restaurant because it didn’t seem very nice (stuffy with big portable AC units running). Back to the room…the screened balcony is nice. AC works very well. Plenty of cleaning items. The shampoo and conditioner and body wash pump bottles mounted in the shower were unexpected and appreciated. We never heard any noise from neighbors. They have some pretty community grill areas with hammocks but we didn’t use them. Could maybe be a nice resort if the rooms were updated (without carpet) and deeply cleaned. We were only asked kindly to listen to the timeshare presentation at check-in but declined. I would never stay here again, because I really like clean resorts.…
We spent a hot July weekend at the Sheraton Vistana Village Resort with our son, daughter in law and three year old grandson. As we live on opposite sides of Florida, it was a halfway meeting point for us to get together. The 2 bedroom villa was spacious and well furnished. It had a kitchen, washer and dryer, and two large bathrooms so we had plenty of room and didn't feel crowded. We did go out for a few meals but otherwise enjoyed the resort facilities with our grandson. His favorite pool was the one with the pirate ship, which was equipped with water cannons. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a convenience type store and also an outdoor restaurant with a limited, but adequate menu. The price for the villa was very reasonable and it is an excellent place for families to relax and have a good time.…
We stayed in a two-bedroom Villa at the Sheraton Vistana Villages. We stayed in the area surrounding the children's pool. The children's pool is big enough and has a pirate ship and a water slide for the kids. Our children definitely enjoyed the pool area. Our Villa included a full kitchen, a laundry, a master bedroom with a king bed and a large master bathroom, and a second bedroom with two double beds and a smaller shared bathroom. There was also a sleeper sofa. The room included a balcony enclosed by a screen. The villa was comfortable. However, it was not particularly clean when we showed up. The carpet looked like it needed to be vacuumed. There was a clump of hair on the carpet. And a theme park armband was rolled up under the curtains (we found it when opening and closing the curtains later in our stay). The resort itself is fairly centrally located. It is a 10-to-15-minute drive to the main attractions like Universal and Disney World. It is about 5 minutes away from Seaworld. As others have noted, avoid the timeshare sell. We had messages on our answering machine each day--initially asking us to come and get our "welcome gift," and later to come and get our "thank you gift." They provided a coupon for a photo book and the other gift, "which we don't offer to everyone" (Ha!!) is a reduced price stay and a 90-minute presentation. We said that we weren't interested and when they kept pushing, firmly said 'no.' Overall, we did enjoy our stay and would consider staying there again in the future.…
If you want to stay at an hotel, don't stay here. This is an expensive Airbnb. It is a nice apartment, but they don't do housekeeping at all. If you need towels, they will deliver, but that's it. If you want service, stay someplace else. You can get a much nicer house of apartment at Airbnb, for a lesser price.
Absolutely brilliant loved our stay lovely apartment with great facilities and good bar service great security can not complain at all very great location And great amenities thank you for a lovely stay clean and very well maintained thank you so much
Fantastic location, beautiful resort and great customer service. A few issues this year, non working lamps, broken utility door and no room clean but we didn’t mind, still a great break in a fantastic resort.
The sheraton vistana villages. We have visited the particular resort several time in the past few years. We are actually timeshare owners but our room and treatment was very horrible. We book a room for St. Augustine village instead we got Amelia. The Amelia room was stuff and dry to the point it gave us a headache. We complaint but unfortunately we was not able be accommodate. We was told maintenance had to come change the filter and do what they can before we can be moved. So guy for the last 2 day we had a loud commercial dehumidifier running in the room. We have asked if we can be down graded from the premium 1 bed to regular they refused. So we are on vacation with a commercial dehumidifiers running 24hrs to be comfortable in the room. Thank sheraton vistana villages for the horrible memories and vacation.…
Had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful hotel recently. It’s on the quiet side of IDrive .The grounds and pool are gorgeous and just the place to spend a day away from hustle and bustle of theme parks etc. it’s about 20 mins or so from the major Disney/universal parks. You will certainly need a car to get around. We stayed in a 2 bed villa a short walk from one of the pools. The accommodation/apartment was huge and had everything you could want or need for a stay. Very impressive. Supermarket on site is incredibly expensive but there’s a proper supermarket about 5 mins away (via car/Uber) Staff are generally very friendly and helpful but we weren’t overly impressed with reception staff. Check in was very slow and I also note that our room wasn’t ready despite us not getting there until 7pm. I had one issue which wasn’t dealt with very well either (not anything major though) . I think the sheer size of the place (and therefore the numbers of people involved at peak season) is a factor. The only other negative was the Breeze restaurant/bar on site. It’s incredibly slow as usually only one till working. No table service so this led to regularly to long lines of people who were seeking food or drinks. It seems madness to have the same line dealing with all orders from drinks to meals to Ice lollies! If you fancied a beer (or a child an Ice cream)at the pool you had to take your place in the queue with everyone ordering their dinners/lunches etc. Food was just ok. Crazy stuff for an hotel of this level. However overall our stay was very good and I can recommend this place to anyone. With just a few tweaks it would be perfect.…
