I had a reservation for two at Pop Century. Had been there about 10 years ago and it was nice. So, I asked for two bedroom room. The check in was fine and went to the room. Much to our surprise, I was with my adult daughter, there was one very small bed. I called the desk and was told it was a two bed, the other bed was a pull down. I was not happy. A two bed is when I walk in there are two beds! I’m not taking a bed down from the wall at Disney. The other bed was so small. The desk was nice and found us a room in another hotel. It was an inconvenience and we had a reservation that we just about made. We were told all the rooms are the same, so I’ll never go there and let people know.

Pop Century was perfect for our Disney vacation with our 5 and 9 yr old children. We stayed in a preferred room which was in the 60’s building and close to the pool, lobby, restaurant and bus area. These rooms are refurbished and have a Murphy bed that is a table when you’re not using it as a bed. The beds are comfy and they give you plenty of nice pillows. Even with the bed down the room was more spacious than I expected. There is room under the beds for storage of strollers and luggage. There is also tons of storage space for all your stuff and a nice flat screen tv. The bathroom has the shower and toilet separate from the sink and mirror so multiple people can be getting ready in the morning. The hippy dippy pool is a lot of fun and they have activities for the kids during the day and night. They also have life vests for the little ones and a baby splash area. There is laundry, a pool bar and ping pong tables. The theming if the decades is cute and makes the resort fun to walk around. The datura then is convenient but the food is mediocre at best. Some of the bakery snack items look yummy and if your on the meal plan you can get an adult beverage with your lunch and dinner so that makes it better. My kids loved that they had pizza, chicken fingers and Mac and cheese. Plus you get unlimited fountain drinks when you are at the resort. I would definitely stay here again, especially with the kids. It’s super family friendly, super cute and comfy!

It sounds like you had a groovy time at Disney's Pop Century Resort! I'm really digging your review, thanks for sharing it with us. You're right, Pop Century is the perfect Resort for families and young children. As you mentioned, the rooms are recently enhanced and they have been a huge hit with our Guests. I think they're ideal for the Preferred Room locations. With this Resort being wonderful for kids, a fun afternoon at the pool is a must! Having a hardwood floor makes for a much easier clean up afterwards. The pull-down bed gives families even more space to get situated before getting the kids down for a nap. I can't wait for you to "pop" on by again at this totally far out Resort! Jordan Disney Social Reviews

This was my first stay at Pop Century and I had a wonderful stay. I typically do not stay on Disney property given how expensive it is in California, but when considering the off-site options in Orlando, staying on property at Pop Century seemed to be the most practical option for me based on the following; - Includes airport transfer (Lyft from Orlando airport MCO is approx $35 each way) - No hidden resort fees (off property hotels charge a daily resort fee which can add up) - Includes transportation to the parks - while off property hotels send a bus every hour or 30 min, Disney buses seem to be well organized. When one is full, there's another one behind it. - Includes magic band and ability to make fast pass reservations 60 days in advance (60 days in advance - the earliest pass for Flights of Passage was at 5 pm and none left for Slinky Dog..that's how important early fast passes are) Based on my stay, the room was newly remodeled - very clean, beds were comfy with numerous pillows, and the air conditioning leaves the room cold and comfortable. I was traveling with one other person, so the room was decently sized for 2 people and comes with a fridge. The cast member at the front desk was super friendly and chatted with me about California. Only a few minor issues, the phone in the room didn't seem to have a button straight to the front desk. By dialing the hotel's number I found online, I was able to get someone to bring some soap to our room. Room had no hand soap and no hand soap dish - I think this may just have been a mistake in our room, but housekeeping brought us some soap relatively quickly. Lastly, the food in the cafeteria repeats every day - pizza, sandwiches, pasta, fried chicken, chicken strips, sandwiches pretty much. I wish there was more variety, but I suppose most people will eat off-property.

Thanks for popping by to share your recent visit to Disney’s Pop Century Resort with me! With its newly refurbished rooms giving you more space to relax, wonderful Cast Members, and iconic theming this is a perfect locale for families to enjoy. Our complimentary transportation truly is an amazing perk of staying at one of our Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and I am thrilled to hear that it worked well for you this trip. I am also delighted you were able to take advantage of our FastPass+ service prior to your arrival, which allowed you to experience more of your favorite attractions and maximized your time in the Parks. Although I am thrilled you had such a magical visit, I am disheartened that there were some hiccups along the way. Please know our Chefs are always updating our menu offerings based off of our Guests feedback, and for that, I want to thank you. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon for another spectacular visit! Pop Century is an average hotel at best. We knew booking a value hotel would lack some of the Magic that you would see elsewhere through Disney resorts but didn't think we would have to sacrifice the simple pleasures of the Disney experience. We were placed in building 7 which is quite away from Classic hall and many of the hotel amenities. Understanding that we booked as a regular and not a preferred room we knew we would be further away but this was further than we would have expected. Nonetheless, we made the best of it and walked everyday to Classic Hall, bar and the pool. The one other thing I felt made the hotel average was the housekeeping team who didn't add any of the special touches you would normally see at Disney (e.g. Towels made up like hearts, animals, etc.), not to mention them forgetting to clean our room one day while we left early. Other then these few hiccups we were able to make the best of our experience and plan on returning again but either at a different resort or a better room at Pop Century.

From the colorful and comfortable accommodations to the iconic, larger-than-life theming, I'm totally excited that you and your family took the plunge and came to stay with us at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. While your room was further away from Classic Hall then you had expected I am happy to know you were able to enjoy the relaxing walk through the Resort. I want to apologize for the lack of Disney touches from our Housekeeping Cast Members you have come to expect throughout your visits with us. And although there were a few hiccups throughout your stay I am happy to learn that this did not take away from your family vacation. Although this Resort did not seem like a perfect fit for you and your family, may I suggest looking into Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter? Not only does it have the special touches you are looking for, but everything is much closer together. I think it would be a perfect choice for you! Thank you for sharing your visit with me. No matter where your next visit takes you, either along the Sassagoula River or back through ages, we can’t wait to welcome you back for a more enjoyable visit. Sam Disney Social Reviews

Hospitality - 5 stars Room size - 2.75 stars, especially with the bed down Pillows & bed - 4 stars Pools - 5 stars Buses - 3 stars as they are such a far walk when at the parks. But I guess you get what you pay for (value reaort). Bathroom - 5 stars as there's multiple separations Storage - 4 stars Cafeteria - only had breakfast snacks so cant really rate We stayed in a preferred room (60s bldg) in order to be close to the pool and buses - well worth it In years past we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, yes we prefer Riverside, but since we only use the rooms to shower and sleep, Pop Century is a good money saver. This was a view for my room number 5464
