Had never stayed on Disney property before but decided to splurge for our daughters first trip to WDW. WOW! This place was Disney perfect, from the super soft beds (Yes even the Murphy Bed) to the Hippy Dippy pool, to the food and even the way it smelled! Staff was super friendly and helpful, even when checking out in the gift shop using up the last bits left on like 24 different gift cards, HAHA! Transport to the parks was always available and efficient. We even ended up needing a jump for our car because we never needed to drive anywhere, maintenance staff was great and super quick getting out to help us with that! Was definitely worth the extra bit to stay on property.
We're staying with our friend in Sarasota for several weeks and decided it would be fun to go to Disney for a couple of days. Another friend decided to join us. Rather than book 1 double and 2 single rooms, we "roomied up" so I shared a room with our girlfriend and my husband shared a room with the male friend. Although our friend had checked us in online, we wanted to go to Reception so that we could register our own credit card for any expenditure over the couple of days. What a great decision that was. Judy was a real star on Reception, being patient and sorting everything out for us, ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stay pleasurable. Our rooms weren't ready - but we didn't expect them to be as it was only 9 am - and we were duly notified later in the day when the rooms were ready. Judy had even arranged for our rooms to be next to each other - although we didn't use the interconnecting door! The transportation arrangements for getting to the Parks from this Hotel are excellent, with the buses arriving frequently. We went to Magic Kingdom on our first day and were on our first ride by 10 am - and that was after arriving at Reception at 9am!! There is also the addition of the Skyline which we experienced in the evening so that we could enjoy the views/lights. Both of our rooms were very clean with everything we needed. At first we were concerned to see there was only one large bed but then realised that there is a "pull-down" bed located where the table is. Fantastic! There were more than enough pillows too, and the beds were super comfortable. We decided to eat in the Food Hall at the Hotel where there is plenty of choice, depending on what you want. Reasonably priced too! The tables were cleaned as soon as guests left. The following day we went to Hollywood Studios - and the bus was just pulling in as we arrived at the coach area. Perfect timing! An added advantage was that we had early admission to the Park, so we could get ahead of the rush to try out the new Star Wars rides. Fantastic! Sadly we only stayed at Pop Century for one night (the last time we stayed for a week) but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for a fantastic, albeit short, stay - hopefully it won't be too long before we can come back again for longer.…
We stayed at the Art of Animation right across the pond in January and enjoyed the resort very much, decided to book Pop Century because it was even more affordable and we were not disappointed! We checked in very early, were able to park our car and take the gondola to Epcot, they texted us our room number later in the day, it was seamless. The woman who checked us in was very helpful in giving us hints and tips, which we greatly appreciated. The rooms are adorable and quite adequate for 2 people staying over nite. The gondola line does get quite long but it moves constantly so isn’t an issue. The food is not outrageous in price, and they even have gluten free options for me. Lots to do for families as well. It’s a Disney resort and although more affordable than others it still maintains Disney standards.…
My husband and I enjoyed a perfect stay at Pop Century. It was our first time in a Disney hotel, and I confess that I was a bit worried because it was a value hotel. But I was completely positively surprised. The hotel has a great structure, two swimming pools, and excellent food options. The staff was always helpful. Thanks to the online check-in, we didn't even have to go through reception when we arrived, which was great because we arrived after midnight. The room was spacious, very clean, and more importantly, the floor was not carpeted. Another advantage was the Skyliner to HS & Epcot, amazing! Definitely will stay at Pop Century again on my next visit to Disney World.
We booked Disney Pop Century as the more budget friendly option within the Disney park bubble. We didn't really know what to expect as this was our first time visiting Disney World, but it was a very pleasant experience. We travelled as a family of 3, our son being 5. The customer service is very good, the checking in process was quicker than the line-up suggests (most can be done on the Disney My Experience app). Everyone that worked there was pleasant and knowledgable. The food was not-bad, although we didn't eat much at the resort. it's mostly hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza. Some salad, yogurt, and sweet options in the fridges at the back as well. It's nothing special, but it's not terrible. The pools are not deep and great for kids, especially the main pool. Very clean as well. The room we had was a double and worked well for us, although I could see it feeling small for 4 or more people. It was very clean and everything worked. The beds were very comfortable for a hotel as well (I'm a light sleeper and super picky with beds). The only downfall really was that the walls are thin and you can hear everything. Literally everything - upstairs, downstairs, both sides, people walking by outside, etc. Definitely take that into consideration if you're a light sleeper because this is something that cannot be fixed. The theming of the resort does absolutely nothing for me, but if you're into the oldies stuff I can see it being nostalgic. Overall, I would recommend for sure, but if we visited Disney World again we would maybe try another resort, only because there are so many other options as well. …
The best value lodging in Disney world for location, comfort, price and convenience. It is basic lodging with a whimsical design. There are 3,000 rooms divided into building sections. Each building section is dedicated to a decade from the 1950' to the 1990's. We were in the 1980's with a big Rubik's cube and other items to denote the 1980's/ Our room was large & comfortable mattress and pillows. Especially for a mid day nap or after a long day at the parks. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and coffee machine. We bought and stored our breakfast items the night before and had a breakfast in our room before heading to the Skyliner or buses. The Skyliner is the easiest and fastest way to get from the hotel to either EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. It made going to and from the parks effortless. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to pre check in and once notified our room was ready, was able to use my phone to go directly to the room and open the door electronically. There are many Disney Hotels in Disneyworld, but for the best combination of value, location and comfort, this is the BEST!…
We won’t stay here again. The theming is so cute and the location to the skyliner can not be beat. I had not planned on spending much time in the rooms. However, the rooms smelled of mildew And mold. I don’t know if there was previously a leak in the 50’s building. I changed rooms to one on the highest level and could not escape the smell. I became sick on the second day and had to spend a majority of my time in the room. I propped the door open and it did not help. This room will be in my nightmares. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom not really clean. If you have allergies , compromised immune systems or small children do not stay here . If I ever come back to Disney I will stay offsite And use hotel buses or pay for an Uber to the Parks. I do have to say that the staff was very friendly and accommodating but they could not do much to alleviate the situation besides moving me to another location and providing an ozone machine. This did not resolve the mildew mold problem.…
I was excited to stay here, as I heard many people say this was their favorite resort, and even chose it over the French quarter. Big mistake. This place left a sour taste in my mouth for a “Disney Resort”. As for Pop- Pros: transportation to the parks. Cons: Our room was in the 90s. Awful after a day at the park. It is such a long walk. Why not build UP??? They don’t clean the rooms well. Housekeeping only comes every other day but failed to clean the dirt on the floor and they don’t change sheets for your ENTIRE stay! The beds aren’t comfortable just an average mattress on a squeaky wood platform. The walls are THIN. You will hear baby’s screaming, kids running, loud conversations. I can’t imagine how loud it would have been if we were closer to the main area. Food selection is decent but staff seemed miserable and taste is mediocre at best. Eat elsewhere. Guest services will no longer accept deliveries. I had to get a prescription delivered and they refused to hold it at the front desk until I could get there. You couldn’t hold a small brown bag with my name on it for 30 mins?? Overall: this experience was anything but magical and I regret staying at this location. I will advocate against anyone staying here. Please choose elsewhere. It may be a few dollars more overall but when you’re already spending so much, you want the experience to be happy. I would even think staying offsite would be better than this place.…
Another Fab 2 week stay at Pop Century! The addition of Skyliner is great, busses running frequently and maid service every other day- room cleaned thoroughly. This is our third visit to Pop and we are already planning our return. We do seem to time our visit along with the dance/cheer groups which can be a bit overwhelming (teenagers travel in packs.) Next time we will ask for a lake view in the 50’s building away from the pools which can be a tad noisy at night. Resort exceptionally clean- great little extra touches like using water to draw characters on the walkways and the campfire s’mores/poolside theatre. Food court can appear a little repetitive but that’s when you nip over to AoA or grab a bus to another hotel and check out their food. As always, near the end of our 14 nights- we start wishing for another 7 lol We will need 2 rooms next time for our family- shame WDW travel Co won’t let you add second rooms to your booking. Overall we love this hotel and look forward to returning again…
I haven’t stayed here in a few years. The location and the price really can’t be any better. I can definitely tell from some other reviews that people are over paying for these rooms (not understanding how the hotel booking process works regarding supply and demand) but for what I paid and the location with the Skyliner I thought it was great. The refurbished rooms are much better than they used to be. Still not a lot of food options besides quick serve but the Skyliner makes it so much easier to go to the boardwalk, Epcot, other resorts, and someone. Everyone I interacted with at this hotel was pleasant and outgoing. Definitely worth the 140-175 range for the location alone.
