We stayed at a Club Level Savannah View room in Jambo House for 8 nights and was our first time staying in Disney World. We were blown away by the scale of the resort - for a video review of our room, head over to You.Tube and search for 'Tim and Matt Travel'. Our room as well as the resort was very clean throughout with comfy beds and good aircon. Our room was a Savannah View so we had an amazing view of the animals - I did not expect so many 24/7. The club level was ok - it was handy having it as a breakfast option every day which we greatly used. We were never there for the lunch offering. Evening food was enough but not a huge choice. The beer and wine was greatly appreciated after a long day and was even better that you could take them to your room from there. We did have a problem with housekeeping. Our first three days we did not have any and wasted a lot of calls and trips to get it sorted - something we did not expect from a deluxe resort. However once finally fixed we were happy with the daily clean. We would indeed go back!

Hotel's Favorite
This was our families first visit to Disney together. My wife and I, plus our 13 year old daughter. This resort was amazing and huge. We got a savannah view room and it did not disappoint. We saw tons of animals from our balcony everyday, including zebras, giraffes, and ostriches amongst others. The housekeeping staff went above and beyond when refreshing the room, even taking the time to arrange my daughters stuffed animals on the bed in a cute manner. We did not have a microwave in the room, so I requested one and it was at my door 5 minutes later. The bell services staff were very helpful with our luggage and made it so much easier on us. The pool, hot tub, arcade, and Simba’s Clubhouse on site give you many options for things to do at the resort, especially with Tropical Storm Nicole coming through right in the middle of our stay. They have activities for the little ones as well. The front desk staff were very helpful with any questions we had. The lobby and the resort itself were beautiful. Walking the grounds at night was so relaxing and fun. Disney really spares no expense. Bus service to the parks was very reliable and we never waited more than 5-10 minutes for a bus. They have a screen of the bus schedule right where they pick you up. The gift shop was very nice, had a good selection of souvenirs, and had lots of essentials as well, such as medicine, food and drinks. My daughters came down sick with bad chest congestion during our stay and I was able to go down and pickup some Mucinex and Vicks to make her more comfortable. You will pay a premium for everything there, but it’s to be expected at Disney. Only a few minor cons: The front desk staff near to be more attentive at answering the phones. It was a very long walk from the lobby to our hotel room. When I got to the lobby, there were 5-6 people standing around at the front desk that weren’t busy. I could understand if they were super busy, but having to walk all the way to the lobby when they could’ve just picked up the phone was pretty annoying. The drink vending machine that was closest to our room was broken. I made someone aware of it on the first day, but it was broken the whole stay. There are some decent food choices but they are insanely expensive for what you get. The Boma buffet is not worth the almost $200 it cost for dinner. The selection is very limited and 80% of the food was not what you would consider normal American buffet fare. I understand that this is resort is going with an African theme, but 95% of your visitors are normal Americans who want normal buffet food, or at least way more options. We didn’t even bother with breakfast, as that would have been over $100, which is just nuts. The Mara did have cheaper food options, but the menu again is very limited. Be forewarned. If you door dash onto the property, they do not let them past the lobby. You have to meet them in the lobby or out front. I did not know this and was not made aware by the driver, so I missed a delivery. The driver said he left it but none of the staff could find it and I had to get door dash to credit the order and reorder. It was never found. There is a McDonalds right down the road and many other options for door dash as well. I suggest bringing snacks and pre made meals. The pool was much colder than we expected. Yes, it was November, but it was still in the mid 80’s and humid. They need to turn the heat up a few degrees. Other than the few minor cons, it was great. If you plan to splurge on a Disney trip, stay here and get a savannah view room. You won’t regret it.

3 night stay at Jambo House in a 3 bedroom DVC villa - simply spectacular. Loads of room and privacy for our party of ten with 3 couples and 4 children ages 3 and under. Cribs and high chairs provided upon request. Huge kitchen and lots of storage/closet space. Great dining room table ample to sit down together for meals. The fourth bathroom was useful and convenient, as was the laundry room. Truly our home away from home. Adults enjoyed the billiards room, and everyone loved the 3 huge decks, lots of animals all day everyday (we were on the Sunset Savannah). We also enjoyed exploring the building and common savannah, meeting the friendly and knowledgable cultural representatives, the marshmallow roast one night, and dining at Sanaa and Jiko. We've stayed there in the past in regular rooms and once a 2 bdrm villa from DVC, but this room was truly luxurious and spacious. The four cousins had so much safe space to run around and play. The pools (and splash pads) at both Jambo and Kidani are must-dos for the little ones - we took a whole day and night "off" parks, and the children and we loved our pool day. If you can take some time to relax and recharge, work that into your trip. We all needed the breather, and this room and resort are rainy day proof: you could just spend the day at the lodge and find plenty to enjoy and experience. One teeny complaint: only one frying pan and it was not non-stick. We set off the fire alarm making eggs the first morning there, oops!

We stayed at Jambo House in Animal Kingdom Lodge in January and were completely blown away. Enjoyed it so much that we booked again. Unfortunately, we weren't quite so blown away this time. It's still a great resort but we had a few issues that concerned us that didn't quite deliver the 'Deluxe' standard we would expect For example: - as we weren't allocated a room with a Savannah view on arrival we enquired twice about the possibility of upgrading. On both occasions we were told that a manager would call us back but we didn't receive a response at all - on days during our stay our room did not get serviced - we had a fire evacuation in the early hours of one morning and not a single member of staff was present. We were outside by the pool with a 3 year old for quite some time and were never given an all clear to return to our room. We eventually followed other guests and returned to bed. There was never an explanation for the incident - we were disappointed with the Mara, quick service restaurant. After sending through an order on the app and being told our meal was being prepared, we waited for close to 40 minutes before someone eventually told us that the app wasn't working. As this was late in the evening we had little choice but to wait for our food to be prepared We still really enjoyed our holiday but would probably not choose this resort again. However, when we told a member of staff at check out about our concerns they didn't ensure that we got a free, character breakfast before we left. A nice touch but still left us disappointed with the level of service not being up to the usual Disney standard

We loved our stay here, we had a pool view and it can get quite a bit noisy if you want to sleep early (so just a bit of a warning) Thankful that our room was ready and that it was cleaned daily. I dont think the sheets nor the pillow cases were changed. We stayed for 6 nights. The housekeeping staff were inconsistent in giving toilletries (lotion, mouthwash, vanity kit, shower cap, bath soap). There are days when we had facial soap but not bath soap. there was a time when we did not have lotion nor moutwash. They are quick to give it though when asked. Just needs a better consistent process though. Get the refillable soda mug, it’s worth it (21,99$). you can get coffee with it. Disney coffee needs magic dust because i never had one there that was good. The receptionists were always nice. Mara is a decent place to eat. Boma breakfast overpriced and overrated (i did a separate review about it), id rather have a character breakfast somewhere else. King Pin was super nice, find him near the entrance of the store every MWF at 1:45 pm :)

A beautiful experience, waking to giraffes! Hotel is stunning, the lobby is WOW. Staff are amazing, go above and beyond to make you feel very special. Rooms spacious with excellent facilities. Good choice of restaurants on site. Excellent transportation links to parks. Quiet and peaceful, despite being a large hotel. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely be back 😁

We stayed here for 3 nights last month. ThisDisney hotel has the wow factor, more so than others I believe. It’s heavily themed throughout and feels special as a result. We had a standard, two queen bed room. Our room overlooked the savannah, albeit the edge so not a full view of all the animals all the time - we hadn’t paid for a savannah view so didn’t expect animal animal views to be honest, but we saw giraffes, zebras and more from out balcony. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, good bathroom and the complimentary water was great. We made use of the laundry room too - loved the app which told me when to return. Cost $3 dollars per washing machine or tumble dryer and $1 dollar for laundry detergent for one load. Quick and efficient, ideal to refresh our laundry before moving elsewhere in our trip around Florida. We ate at Jill - fabulous, though not cheap. Was an axing meal and the staff and service was exceptional throughout. We went out to see the animals and encountered Richard, one of the cultural staff there who was very informative and interesting telling us about the animals.

We had a once in the life trip to Disney, staying a the Lodge, which made it that bit extra. Many reasons but sitting out side our room watching all the animals in the morning and evening made it special for us, daughter, granddaughter, wife and me. We did the parks as you do, just remember that everything is that bit more than you think, so get a new mortgage for your holiday.

This is the third time we have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge with our two children. Since our last visit in 2018 the rooms have been updated, now with a large shower rather than a shower/bath and there also seemed more storage than we remembered. The hotel retains its magic quality, the lobby and pool areas are stunning. And where else can you see giraffes from your bedroom windows?? The only negative point for us was the quick serve (the Mara) where we felt the quality of the food provision was poor compared to other Disney quick serves. We had burgers one evening which were pretty much inedible. We would also like to see them serving the full breakfast menu earlier in the mornings. Boma (the buffet style restaurant) was as fabulous as ever though, and we would highly recommend it.

An absolute dream come true. For Disney lovers and animal lovers alike this hotel is just incredible. We stayed in the Kidani Village in a studio for 1 night as a treat on our most recent trip. While we waited for our room to get ready we walked around the beautiful outdoor areas and had a reservation at Sanaa for food which was delicious! We then went to our room which was just incredible. The view of the giraffes and zebras was amazing we could sit in our balcony or lie on out beds and watch them. The where fed at certain times too which encourages them to come over for a closer view. The bed was very comfortable and the sofa pulled out to make a 2nd double bed. The shower and toilet facilities where also ideal and of course disney toiletries and 50th celebration coffee bags where provided. We asked room service to bring us some extras and they happily obliged. The pool area was also great. Really great for relaxing but also for kids with little slides and such. There is a bar at the pool for food and drinks and at night they show movies under the stars. We got the bus to the Jambo area of the resort for quick service food later at night such as chicken nuggets burgers etc and to visit the gift shop (make sure you try the zebra domes) we also headed round here for breakfast the next morning for mickey waffles and such. There is also a games arcade which we loved at night time too. If your staying on resort too you can pick up a reusable mug for $20 which you can refill as much as you want so was handy for juice throughout the day and wee coffee to take to the balcony after breakfast before checkout. The kids also enjoyed hot chocolates on the balcony at night great value for money. Would 100% stay here again. If like us you are only staying here 1 night as a treat make sure you use it as a day off the parks to really make the most of it. After all you will need a rest day!
