The Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark, an IHG hotel, offers a lively atmosphere, complete with karaoke that enchants many guests, though some have concerns about noise and smoke. Families find the spacious rooms and proximity to attractions appealing, but the hotel's cleanliness and room maintenance often fall short of expectations.
The range of amenities, including pools, is a hit, but they're marred by extra fees and the need for updating. While service is generally appreciated, issues like slow check-in and inconsistent housekeeping frustrate some travelers.

Hotel's Favorite
We made a reservation here because the hotel where my boyfriend's conference was being held was ridiculously expensive. We don't have kids and after reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant as to what to expect. Early check in was a breeze since we are IHG members. Requesting a room on a higher floor was a really good idea. Families prefer the lower floors. We got a 2 bedroom suite and the extra bedroom became our storage area. We pack a lot of food and sports gear so that was fantastic. Everything was very clean. It was nice to have a "living room" and a separate bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated that we had a tub in the shower. The counter and table space in the kitchenette was ample and the small fridge adequate. I had my breakfasts and lunches in our room. Thank you for having Almond milk in the market! My earbuds came in handy to work as the music from the pool areas is loud. The pool and waterparks are always crowded but really fun. They even have lifeguards! Bring your own beach towels. We played basketball, air hockey and some arcade games. I used the gym and the Yoga room. There were several casual dining options for dinner. We were thrilled to find the Hide A Way and their menu!! Kids eat free in the large restaurant and there is free transportation to Disney. The "resort" is not new but it was nice. We had zero complaints. Service was super friendly, front desk (especially Asia and Michelle), bellmen, housekeepers (Monica) and maintenance.

Stayed there for a week with my family while in Orlando to go to Disney.
We had a room on the top floor so I can’t speak to how good the ceilings are at transferring noise but the walls and HVAC let lots of noise through if you’ve got loud neighbours.
The AC worked well, the staff were friendly, the whole hotel was clean, the pool was fantastic and much warmer than I was expecting for Orlando in the winter. The water temp and pressure in the shower was a bit inconsistent, but it eventually got and stayed hot.
They have a couple of restaurants inside, the standard Holiday Inn restaurant as well as a couple of fast food ones, Subway, a Mexican one and a pizza place. I did have pizza one night and it was great and well priced.
My only real challenge was their complimentary shuttle to Disney. It was late, every single time we took it, didn’t matter if we were the first run of the day or the third, going to or coming back, they were late at least 15 minutes. I’ll absolutely cut them slack about our first day at Disney because of the marathon running through the Disney parks, but each other time they were late, including one day where we were not only 20 minutes late leaving but we stopped at two other hotels that weren’t even close to on the way, so what should have been an 8am arrival at a park was closer to 9. We got to the point that if we needed to be at a park to meet friends or just get there on time to beat some of the crowds, we drove and paid the $25 for parking at Disney.

We stayed at the holiday inn as a Family of five all of whom are tall. We found the family suite to be fantastic for us all. Very comfy beds and pillows, very clean and a little fridge and sink which was handy. The hotel has a little convenient store open till 9 pm as well as subway, pizza, and Mexican open til 10pm and a bar in the food hall area as well. The pool was heated but not the watersides and a great laundry facility. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily which was awesome and not being a Disney hotel was a better price point for us. The location to the parks was fabulous, we took ubers/lyfts each day but there is a free bus. We also visited other Disney themed hotels for dinner which is fun. I would definitely recommend this hotel and going to all the four Disney worlds absolutely brilliant !!!!

I arrived on a Sunday evening now on Monday evening I pulled back the sheets on the bed and their were squares of toilet tissue in the bed. The two older had touched the bed with strawberry stains on his hands and thinking that the sheets would be hanged the next day (Tuesday). Tuesday afternoon I came back to the room to find out the sheets still had not been changed but the trash was taken out. House keeping comes but later that evening to ask if my room had been cleaned? I said not, she says, "do you not want it cleaned?" I said, yes I do but no one has come to clean it. " Wednesday the room gets cleaned but the bed sheets still were not changed. The kids only eat free at the hotel restaurant not at any other food places at the hotel, room service has an 18% gratuity. The bath towels were a bit rough.

Pictures are nice but in reality it is a very run down hotel. Long lines to check in, under staffed and they look at you like they are doing you a favor. When I got to my room it had a humid smell and it was somewhat clean.
Every night they post a note on the elevator stating it is “out of order” but the employees are using it. Lots of walking to take to other elevator and stairs to get to my room which was a big deal for me since I have just had surgery. Food is very expensive and subpar. Save your money go eat somewhere. Bathroom is not updated, not really functional and has roaches.
The WORST of it all, be aware that if you post the “DO NOT DISTURB” on the door they go in anyways to “clean” your room. They reorganize your belongings trying to make they look nice, they go thru your documents, papers, medication, clothes and they nicely put your high end watch under one of their pillows. Just to clarify I was by myself in the room since I was there for a stay and play Sunshine volleyball tournament and my kids were in their rooms with their teammates. They did not have my keys. I had to be at their tournament at 7:00 yesterday and nobody was at the front desk when I checked out. Used the express check out. Good thing I thought about my watch before turning the keys in.
I ordered room service on Saturday (I got to the hotel at 10:30 pm after a very long day) and when the guy who brought my food was really trying to go in the room to leave my food on the table even though I declined it. It was a really awkward situation. I did not feel safe.
I am sure there are better options in the area for the same price.

Do yourself a favor & skip this place. We are used to staying on property or at the Marriott. Huge mistake with not sticking to what we know. We took a quick birthday weekend trip for my daughter's 10th bday & stayed here for 2 nights because of the price, size & the location. We had 3 adults & 3 kids and from the pictures and all of the "amenities", how could we go wrong?! HA! 1st, the price & location are the only 2 good things about this place. If you don't mind a "renovated" room that looks like they bought everything from a yard sale and a stale, musty, wet dog smell, this place is for you! Thankfully we brought lysol & bleach which helped mask the odor and sanitize the room. 2 of the lamps were missing lightbulbs, there were only 4 towels for the 6 of us. Had to call for additional towels and was told it would be an hour. Called back an hour later & was told they were working on it. Called a 3rd time & was told they were out of bath towels but they could bring some hand towels. After getting the hand towels, we noticed there were no sheets for the pull out couch bed. Called again only to be told they were out of sheets/blankets at this time so we couldn't even use the pull out couch. 1 adult & 3 kids (ages 10 & 13) had to sleep in the bunk beds. To make it even worse, the rude people next to us were up all night outside drinking & running up and down the outside area. Had to make yet another call to the front desk & they sent security over to quiet them down. As far as amenities go, we only got 15 minutes to use the so called "amenities" because everything closes at 9:00 pm! So forget going to a park & thinking you are going to get an evening swim! The "water park" and I say that loosely, closes at 5:00 pm. It is NOTHING like the pictures online. These are playground slides with about ankle deep water to land in. For hotel security, don't even know why they bother. You need to pull to a guard gate to get to the front desk but you can pull up to the other gate next to it & it automatically opens for any and everyone. We did not feel safe here at all and the grounds are not taken care of. My kids said they never wanted to come back to this place ever again & I couldn't agree more!

We stayed for an expensive three nights. Pictures look amazing, but is very run down and dirty outside and inside rooms. On the second day of our trip i woke and called down for some towels at 8AM, they never came, by 11:30PM and three more phone calls to the front desk i decided to call and complain to IHG. They managed to get us some towels, and was told i would be contacted by the manager of the hotel, and of course this never happened. We didnt receive room service the next day till close to 5PM and they took garbage and left towels, no toilet paper or coffee or hand towels. We had ants crawling on the kitchen couter, as well as a brown beetle/cock roach not really sure. Pretty safe to say I will never be returning to this place again.

This place needs a major renovation. Every corner of the building inside and out is in very poor condition. The pool was always jam packed and very dirty. The splash pad has sections closed off because they’re deemed unsafe. Most of it is in very poor shape as well. Most of the time we had to hike 5 flights of stairs because the one elevator for 700 rooms was either not working or had a mile long line. Nothing has been updated or properly maintained since Nickelodeon owned it and it is no wonder why they don’t own it anymore. The breakfast restaurant had hockey pucks for pancakes. The pizza restaurant was very unprepared and didn't have straws or utensils. The arcade area is the size of a bedroom and the staff was rude. They will not provide you room service unless you stay 5 days or more and even when staying that long (which we did, unfortunately) we had to call and ask for room service to get new bedding and toilet paper. Upon our return in the evening we came back to just toilet paper but no bedding. We slept with sheets the rest of our stay and every time we called customer service, it was an inconvenience for them to do anything. The only reason I gave this place a 2 is because the location is perfect. It is literally 20 mins in any direction to everything. We made it a point to stay out of the hotel from sun up to sun down so we could enjoy vacation exploring in Orlando. Other than that, this is not the place I suggest bringing your family, especially if you plan to stay at the “resort” for a day here and there.

As a Florida resident I can truly say I was highly DISAPPOINTED in our stay at this hotel. To start, there were no toiletries in our room besides 1 roll of toilet paper, Not even a bar of soap to wash our hands so we had to goto the store immediately as we didn't even have hand soap for the restroom. Then even though this is a hotel (in my opinion) geared to families with kids I was informed by the front desk the rooms all had showers and no tubs so I was unable to bath my baby without setting her on the floor of the shower and washing her as such. As well as there being no real barrier between the shower and the flooring which caused the entire bathroom to basically flood because water got everywhere anytime someone showered. Lastly I was charged a day after we checked out and was not aware of charge so I called the hotel to be informed that their employee gave me an incorrect amount at time of check in but they decided to charge me the difference afterward without any notification under the pretense that I could be charged additionally after check out. Overall we are highly disappointed in our stay and will most likely not return in the future especially after the interaction with the agents &the non chalance attitude in regard to the mistake that was made on their end. This hotel simply does not care about customer service and treating the guest properly. Anytime in the future we will not choose this place again to take our kids and due to the corporate nature of this hotel we will probably stay away from ANY Holiday Inn in the future as well as letting our friends and family know about our very unhappy experience at this location 😔

I don’t leave reviews. We live in Florida so we stay in hotels around the Orlando area quite often. The only good thing about this place was that it was centrally located. The room was dirty and stinky and I spent the entire first day after arrival calling to get things fixed and cleaning and sanitizing the room. The safe was not working, the fan was not working , the kids room had sheets that smelled like urine, the carpeting smelled like dirty socks, the couch and chairs were brown with dirt and grime and the hallways were even disgusting. I used Clorox wipes to clean the floor since our little one likes to play on the floor and it took an entire container to make them not come up black. I’m guessing no mopping between guests ( there is no housekeeping while there due to COVID). The phone and remotes were sticky and covered in grossness. The food Pavillion looked abandoned and there were such long waits to get horrible food that was overpriced. The line to check in was absurd and no one at the front desk ever picked up the phone. This may be why. Check in is late at 4 and check out is early at 10am. The pool areas was filthy the overall place just seems in dire need of cleaning. I will never stay here again of course but I will also warn anyone I can. To make matters worse, the rates seemed low enough to bypass some of this until you factor in the extra $55 a night after taxes for the resort fee and the extra $16 a night for parking. That’s an addition $71 to the offered price online . $700 for 3 nights almost seems like a deal but then you have the late check in and early check out and the time wasted trying to make the place decent enough for my family. I will gladly pay double in the future to actually have a relaxing vacation instead.
