We have stayed there 10 nights for our Disney & universal holidays. Very convenient location for both parks although universal is only 5 minutes drive Disney is 15 to 20 minutes. The hotel is linked with Florida bus service for free shuttle trips to parks is not reliable as they wont turn up and you will end up calling uber because u dont want to lose park tickets.
Room cleaning is average but rooms are really spacious if u want to communicate them u must know spanish or sign language. Reception will 90% tell you they cant find your booking 2 hours is guaranteed waiting for them to locate you the be prepare to pay state tax ++++ which you will only know from there. Fransisco at the reception was absolutely helpful and professional, he has got a lot of patience to help you, listen to you out of his responsibilitys . Swimming pool is good and cafe too.. If your purpose is mainly Disney this hotel is perfect because after tiring days at parks you will sleep like a baby.

The hotel is average at best! We stayed for 14 nights and the room wasn’t cleaned in that time only fresh towels, bins emptied and bed made (most of the time). We had a run of 3 days when none of it was done. Had a word at reception as we went out for the evening and they promised to sort it. When we came back we had fresh towels, toiletries and the bins had been emptied but the bed still not made up. Service staff could arrive at any time. Sometimes it was 10am others 5pm. There was no consistency to plan around. The air con is noisy but it did help to block out the noise from the very busy roads adjacent to the hotel. The pool is a good size but the majority of it is very shallow. No good if you want to swim. The bottom of the pool is in need of a good clean! There are only 5 sunshades fixed to tables with chairs. There is no shade for the loungers. Often pool towels were not available. I wished I’d taken my own. Pizzas from the cafe were good. We didn’t try anything else after we saw the food! Everything is pre manufactured at breakfast and just heated through. I have never seen a manufactured fried egg before just ready to throw on the grill and heat through and I’m in my 60’s! They looked like plastic toy eggs! Again pancakes were just off the shelf and reheated. A hotel the size of this needs a good restaurant especially after long days out and you just want to come back, enjoy a good meal and go to bed!

OK where to start?! Let's start with the good. Beds were comfy and big, staff were friendly, the main reception, bar area, cafe and pool were all clean and inviting. Room had it's own fridge which was great for stocking up on items from Walgreens. Location was perfect (for us) we didnt want to be on Disney all of our holiday. Located on I Drive there is a hop on hop off bus which picks up from outside the hotel. Be aware the free Disney park transport run by Florida Bus service is restictive on times and only goes to Epcot or Magic Kingdom (this is external from the hotel and is not organised by the hotel). Cost of food/drink wasn't too bad, a coke and 2 beers $18 in the bar, large 8 slice pizza $16, 2 cocktails from the pool bar $16. Big car park if you do drive and they do provide towels for the pool too. Now the bad..... The rooms were dirty and needed a good make over! Our first room we were moved from as the air-conditioning unit was stuck on cold. We asked for maintenance to sort it but they decided to move us instead! The cleaners need some education in dusting. The dust was everywhere in the rooms and it was evident they only cleaned what they could see. The rooms are only refreshed every 4 days. This was an issue for us especially as there is no where to dry towels and when 2 adults and a 15 yr old is showering every morning and night we needed to ask for new towels nearly everyday. The bins were not emptied unless we did it ourselves. No tea bags only coffee, plus throw away cups, again not ideal when they are only replaced every 4 days, again we were constantly asking the cleaners for more on a daily basis. Hanging space is ridiculous....6 hangers in 1 wardrobe space resulted in us living out of a suitcase for 10 days. Now for the noise.....the hotel is supposed to have a quite zone from 11pm this does not happen. It also says that it's enforced by security....this is hard when security is never seen. The amount of people smoking weed in the hotel is horrendous! There is a constant smell of it everywhere you go the rooms look tired and the damage around the rooms is awful. If you do stay here an you get a room near the ice machine ask to be moved.....its so loud and is in constant use yes it was even in use at 3 and 4 am! There are now windows that open in the room at all. It can get very stuffy and aircon caused 1 member of our party to have a sore throat so some fresh air would have been nice. Now double, and triple check your bill for the resort fee. Upon leaving I received a notification from my credit card company advising an additional charge had been taken.....I questioned this with the receptionist she said the rate had gone up from when we checked in. Of course I argued and I'm waiting for this to be refunded (although I am expecting to need to contact the hotel again soon as this additional charge has created a conversion fee which I will not be paying and I will be asking the hotel to refund this as well). In short.....if you are looking for a base its OK but please do not book this hotel if you staying here for your yearly holiday.....its not worth all your hard earned cash. We stayed in a Deluxe Double room and in block 5.

Just returned home from two weeks at the Avanti Palms- selected this hotel based on its location, which for access to the parks is great. First impressions of the reception area, bar and bistro / cafe etc were really positive. Unfortunately, the first room (Block 2) we were given was awful. The floor was dirty and dust clung to the paint effect ceiling. We were given a view over what looked like a ‘golf cart’ graveyard, with a speaker located immediately outside- blaring music out past 23.30. Combined with the AC unit- which is as noisy as roadworks in your room and the road noise (due to paper thin windows) - a room change was requested. This was facilitated and we moved to block 6. This room was of an equivalent poor state, with a fridge that smelt of sour milk. The front door didn’t shut properly- and it was necessary to wedge a case behind it to feel safe. Thankfully our holiday rep secured us an ‘upgrade’ to a room on the 7th floor in the tower- the room was slightly better, and unlike others we did have our room cleaned regularly, and we could actually open the blind and look out the window, without everyone seeing what you are doing ( like blocks 1-6). Blocks 1-6 are a very poor standard, and we were surprised that our holiday company have these room listed. The AC units in all rooms are unacceptably noisy and need to be replaced. The hotel has loads of potential- as the pool area is lovely, but get a sense it is cashing in on it’s location, and needs to seriously refurb the rooms. The room walls are paper thin, and the interconnecting doors leave you feeling unsafe ( we experienced very noisy neighbours and arguments more than once). Unfortunately we would not consider returning to this hotel- despite the access to the universal parks and shuttle service provision.

The rooms were clean, had a little marketplace which closed at 11pm my only recommendations would be to close the kitchen part and maybe leave the rest open by room key access only as you have people coming in late or coming back from the parks late, it's close by a pizzahut and an applebee's but at 11pm not alot of people want to have to walk there. a great location free shuttle bus to Disney and universal studios, did get a lyft home and it was only around $11, from universal CityWalk to the hotel. A lyft to and from Disney Springs was $21 each way. And around $35 from the airport. Friendly bar staff.

Hotel with many damages and lack of cleanliness. The breakfast is very poor and not very varied, two drinks to choose from and four dishes, apart from ridiculous amounts. When we checked in the room was dirty, the floor and all surfaces, there was also mold on the ceiling and sheets. We went to complain and they told us they would clean it up while we were out during dinner. They didn't do it. To make matters worse, a biker group entered and dedicated themselves to playing music in the common areas of the building at full volume, echoing in the rooms. They drank and smoked marijuana and the smell came into the rooms. We called the reception and they told us at 1:00 am that security was going to the building, until 3:00 am we couldn't hear all the noise. The reception and cleaning staff leave a lot to be desired. From the cleaning carts I would renew the brooms and change the occasional towel since some have rust.

This hotel is awful, we had to change rooms 3 times to find a room with window blinds! Staff are rude and the Receptionist deliberately sent us to the wrong floor to look at an alternative room. I spoke to the manager, Hassan and while he promised to leave his personal email should we have any further problems we never saw him again. The rooms are damp and smell, the noise from the road is terrible and we had to call security at 4am to ask them to do something about the noise in the Tower area. They advertise a bar but we never saw it open and although the pool bar was supposed to serve until 11pm it was usually closed by 10pm. Not even the location or the free shuttle makes it worth staying here and while you will be pleasantly surprised when you arrive at Reception that will vanish as soon as you see the rooms. It really was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.

I was a bit worried reading reviews and wanted to change the hotel last minute. Luckily I didnt. I stayed for 10 days with 3 teenage grandkids and we all were happy with the hotel. Room was spotless, spacious, light and cleaned daily with fresh towels and coffee provided. There was a coffee machine in the room and it was easy to make a cup of good coffee. Also, there was a kettle, microwave and small fridge in the room. There was no carpet which is a good thing, but the hard flooring easily cleaned as I would hate a carpet in the hotel room - it attracts all sorts of dirt. Bathroom was light and spotless with tiles changed recently which was obvious. No problems with the hot water and shower. Staff was nice, room cleaned daily, laundry room on the same floor where you pay by card $3.50 for a washing load. Swimming pool is absolutely beautiful, clean and nicely set with pleanty of free sun loungers, free towels and the bar on site. Music was good and not too loud. Hotel is placed right on International drive so uber was cheap everywhere. For 4 of us we were planning to use itrolley but it was cheaper to use uber, Universal Studios $6. There is a resort fee but even when you add that to the hotel price £52 per night, its still the best value for money. We stayed in block 5 and it was safe as it could be only accessed with the room key. Please do not always go with reviews here, go and watch vlogs on you tube and then decide as I do not think people are being fair with all the bad reviews. Oh just to add, beds are huge and so comfy, pillows comfy and a hairdryer and iron with ironing board provided. Would happily stayed there again as me and the girls would walk down the International drive in the evening and felt safe. There is a free shuttle to the parks which we didn't use.

We had the best stay at Avanti. The first room we were in wasn’t where we had wanted to be situated as it was next to a car park and the man at Reception couldn’t have been more helpful in moving us rooms. My friend was flying out to meet us a few days later and she traveling solo and they couldn’t have been more accommodating to situate her as close as possible (a few rooms down). You get vouchers for breakfast for every morning of your stay (a cold or hot drink with either a wrap or sandwich with a hash brown on the side), this did us well for our start to the day, especially for hitting the parks. The resort fee may appear steep but if you’re going to universal or Disney and do not drive, you’re looking at $40 at least return in a taxi, so $16 isn’t to really be grumbled at. I never made much use of the pool but my mother and friend did and they said it was fine. I’ve seen complaints about housekeeping and I honestly couldn’t complain on my side of things. The housekeeping staff were more than accommodating when it came to asking for more linen or towels. Our room was made up at least 3x on our 10 day break. I’ve seen comments about people smoking cannabis on the property but personally I didn’t come across this but I would say bare in mind it is the United States and several states this is legal, so you have to respect that. To address the comments I’ve seen about the outer walkways next to the out house rooms being dirty, this is due to water expelling from the AC. Near the end of my visit the grounds staff were out power washing these, which isn’t easy. The rooms were spacious and clean with massive televisions. It does what it says on the tin if you’re out at the parks all day. If you’re looking for luxury and to stay in your room all day or on property then this isn’t for you. This is a great space if you’re out and about all day and you want to come home and get a decent sleep after a busy day. All in all, I cannot wait for my next trip to Avanti next year and will be booking it at the end of the month!

Only 2 or 3 shuttles a day, not worth it. Disney is miles away. Universal is about $10 in a cab or Uber.
This place is an absolute dump so avoid at all costs!
First of all get as far away from the Avanti Palms hotel mas you can it is the biggest dirtiest s*** hole I have ever stayed in.
Secondly it's 30+ minute drive from Disney. Uber's and Lift cabs will cost you a fortune and Florida is expensive enough as it is. You'd be better paying a little extra and staying in a Disney hotel. Then you can walk to the parks.
You will be $120 a day in cabs to Disney and back.
Universal however is $10 in a cab. or the shuttle bus goes right there.
Stay in a Disney hotel for Disney, Stay in a Universal hotel for Universal for the best experience possible. Well worth the extra money.
There are more places to choose from in the Orlando area.
