Disney's All-Star Music Resort strikes a chord with its vibrant, music-themed charm, offering guests a symphony of amenities such as convenient Disney transport and enjoyable pools. The staff's friendly and attentive service hits the right note, although some guests have encountered spotty housekeeping.
While the rooms are clean and cleverly designed to maximize space, a few travelers have noted occasional noise disturbances. Despite some criticism over food variety and value, the resort's location and overall Disney experience often resonate well with guests seeking a magical stay.

We stayed at All-Star Music for 6 nights the end of September. We had a family suite that fit our family of 4 adults and 2 kids nicely. It included a nice kitchen area with a frig/freezer, microwave, sink and plastic utensils and plates/bowls (no toaster, we did bring our own and made sure it was out of site of HK). We checked in at a busy lobby area with people and luggage everywhere, but I found a "cast member" easily and she got us checked in and at the location (Calypso Building) we wanted by 11A.M. We used the pool a couple times and were amazed at the number of lifeguards on duty. We did a t-shirt activity the kids loved (maybe a suggestion to have examples of sizes and what the t-shirt looks like). My hubby had a scooter for the week and I can not emphasis how handicap accessible the resort and DISNEY is. The Disney bus system is worth every penny! We only waited shortly every time other than one night where it was an hour wait (but they had continuous buses loading during that time). They only load 2 scooters at a time and the family could join him, but the one night where there was alot of people we waited in the passenger line and hubby went ahead of us. Housekeeping came 1 time and another time they came when we were still in the room and we asked for them to come back, but then we were informed they do not come back if you send them away. But we helped ourselves a couple times for supplies on a cart and then called for towel exchange/garbage take-away. We did not do the meal plan and found the food reasonable price for what you received. The food was OK. We had dinner once and breakfast our last day and was treated by another family who had meals left to use. Sadly, the playground was being repaired so we spent more money than we wanted in the arcade. But the kids enjoyed the arcade and giving away the little ducks they won. The use of Disney gift cards made a little savings for our trip. We used them for everything including paying for our room. Disney does a nice job also with offering Military discounts. My hubby was very reluctant spending that much money on a room, but in the end the value with transportation, the size of the family suite with the kitchenette, parking, pools and activities at this resort certainly changed his mind.

We stayed in the family suite, and it was great! It is plenty of room at a great rate. We had looked at some of the Disney Springs hotels. but once the resort fees are added in, the prices were comparable. The murphy bed was easy to take down and put away. My son was able to do it unassisted. Having two full bathrooms available decreased our morning prep time to get out and going. The kitchen area had paper towels, and plastic kitchen utensils but no dishes, but we brought paper with us. Housekeeping comes in every other day.

I’m impressed with this music themed (Broadway, Jazz, Calypso, Rock, Country) resort which I believe at present is 1,706 rooms that’s perfect for anyone wishing to stay within the Disney bubble on a budget. Easy to navigate property with very nice pools at each end with self serve laundry and one of which features nighttime movies. Complimentary transfers to and from each of the parks are only by bus. Free on site parking is available and the Disney app features a car locator for both the resort and parks. This resort just like the others have an arcade, gift shop and a decent restaurant with dine-in and mobile ordering to go. There two smoking sections, one is just steps from the main hub and the other just outside the Country Fair section. There are both stairs and elevators to access the three floors of each building. There are suites, standard, and preferred rooms to choose from. In my preferred room was a single king bed, two chairs and table (no pull down bed), mini fridge, coffee maker along with other expected amenities. New in the rooms is the “Hey Disney” smart device built on the Amazon operating system that can assist with needs and other information. It’s a modern step and dare I say it won’t be long before we no longer see in room landline phones. Don’t be tempted to take one home as they will become useless plus they slap you with $150 fee. A 55” (presumably) Samsung smart TV provides 73 free regular channels, Disney+ access (if a subscriber), guest services, park info and ability to connect your own device. I was able to connect my phone but sadly YouTube could not be streamed at present time. Gone are they beloved H20 brand bath products, but this new mystery brand seems the same to me. A few things I forgot to mention is the ease of checking in (up to 60 days early) and out which can be done via the Disney World app. The rooms (number assigned first day) can be accessed via mobile and Magic Bands. Self serve laundry is convenient but pricey at $3.50 a load both wash & dry, soap and fabric softener $1.50 ea. The washer and dryer are controlled by scanning the QR. code, NFC or app and will automatically notify you when finished oh and the in room air vent blades can be adjusted independently if necessary. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, I can easily recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again and one thing I would like to see in the future would be the addition of a Skyliner stop.

So this is my third time staying here, I must like it because I keep going back ! Booked at last minute on a whim for a week. Had a great stay, check in was fast, initially was disappointed to get building 5 in county fair as it is the furthest walk to everything, however I was in for a revelation. This area is wonderful, I would request it next time. Yes the walk is a little further but not too far in the scheme of things, I loved the theming, it was quiet and restful with a shaded park like area with trees and picnic benches which was lovely to sit and rest in. The room was basic but clean and tidy, both beds were comfy and pillows were lovely. The shower initially did not work but one phone call and maintenance came and fixed it, so no complaints there. TV and wifi in room was good. Personally I think the rail for clothes is now too short and I preferred the old design. The coffee maker and chiller provided were fine. The toiletries provided are good enough to use and not bring your own, if you are watching baggage weight. The rooms are quite small when both beds are down and I came home with a few bruises from walking into the bed but this is not really an issue as we were out most of the day at the parks. The bus service was excellent, the food court was great but choice was noticibly more limited than in the past. My only real issue hence my grading of four rather than five is the lack of housekeeping. You're supposed to get housekeeping 'lite' every two days but in practice this never happens. Also they only provide limited supplies for the room on the basis they'll be replenished in two days but aren't. e.g. one one ply cheap toilet roll, not necessarily a full one in bathroom on check in with no spares provided for a room of four people and no housekeeping for the next couple of days, one coffee sachet per person. I can deal with not having clean towels everyday and taking out my own trash but I do think a spare toilet roll and more than one coffee every few days is not too much to ask. I think this is where it is obvious Disney is cutting costs, less service for no reduction in room rate. You can ring for supplies and they will be provided but I am a dawn to dusk in the parks type of person and I don't want to be requesting and waiting around for toilet roll at midnight when I have just got off the bus from the parks. I feel strongly you should not have to ask for supplies, they should already be there as this is a basic need. I do love the resort and would stay there again especially in building five but Disney needs to watch cost cutting whilst increasing room rates and go back to the pre covid level of service since there are other cheaper options available which I will start to consider if this continues to change negatively.

All-Star Music Resort is a Disney "value" resort. Of all the on-property resorts, the value category is the least expensive option. The All-Star Music Resort has been updated in the past few years (we stayed in 2018 and the updates were noticeable). The rooms are very clean with smart uses of space (room for suitcases under the bed) and several places to plug in and charge devices. The bathroom area has plenty of space for storing toiletries. The included toiletries are hand soap and wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
If your party is traveling with children, the value resort option is great. If you are traveling with a large group, this is also a great option. The amenities include an arcade (for a cost), playground, 2 pools, laundry facilities (for a cost), and Disney bus transportation. There is a food court with reasonably affordable, no-frills food. If you have time to be spent at the resort, it could be worth purchasing the refillable mug for drinks.
The staff was amazing. Our shower was clogged, and we were able to use the My Disney Experience App to chat to let the hotel know. While we were in the parks, the shower was fixed! We arrived early on our check-in day...check-in is at 3pm, but our cast member was able to get us in a room at 11am!

What an excellent stay we had at All Star Music. We stayed in a standard room, I requested a top floor room in building 3 or 8 prior to arrival. We were on the top floor in building 3, Rock Inn. Close to the piano pool which we loved, and it is really not a far walk at all to the main pool and main building.
We (family of 2 adults and 1 child aged 8) stayed for 2 weeks and found the room an adequate size even with 3 large suitcases (we stood them in front of the interconnecting door). We loved having the Murphy bed as it allowed us to have the option of the table and chairs, which we used for breakfast. Mobile ordering was excellent and easy to use - my son loved the Mickey waffles. We also loved the refillable mugs. I had some dish soap and a sponge to give them a clean in between uses.
We did not find the walk to and from the main building long at all - perhaps 5 minutes.
We thought the resort was extremely well kept. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and happy to provide anything you needed. We used the laundry facilities several times, we found the app very useful and it was all very easy.
Disney transportation was absolutely excellent - we never waited long for a bus and the only time we had to wait for a second bus was after fireworks at Magic Kingdom, however multiple buses were waiting. This has really spoiled staying off property for us!
We really enjoyed the theming around the resort and found there were many quiet spots. We were there end of June/start of July and it never felt too busy despite several tour groups also staying towards the end of our stay.
Our son loved toasting marshmallows and watching films in the pool. He also enjoyed the play park which is tucked behind building 9. Also a special mention for the lizards, rabbits and squirrels as he loved spotting them! He would have loved to spend far more time at the resort if we weren’t so busy!
All in all, a perfect stay for our young family.

Good hotel, nicely decorated, comfortable, very friendly staff and willing to help you. The room was large, clean, clean bathroom, with refrigerator, has a bed that sticks to the wall and is very comfortable too, microwave oven and coffee, has no kitchen. The toilet is done every day, we went without breakfast and bought food before arriving. It has to buy food and a large dining room, which we occupied although we had not bought food there, the food is expensive, in relation to my country (Chile), but that depends on each one. Fully recommended, plus enjoy the extra benefits, such as free locomotion to the parks and Disney Springs and early entry to the parks.

We have stayed in other Disney hotels but not for a while. We chose one this time to get away from the crowds on international drive area.
The hotel is spread over a large area. There is plenty of parking and the rooms are clean and tidy with coffee making facilities in the rooms and a small refrigerator. The room cleaning was every second day and was very efficient. The grounds were kept clean and tidy and there was always help at hand if needed.
Buses ran every day to all of the theme parks and Disney Springs and for those with disabilities the drivers were always on hand to help and make sure room was available where possible.
The dining experience was in our opinion moderate if eating in the evening but breakfast was good and at a reasonable price and quality.
We found prices at the bar area very expensive and so we only used this service on one night of our 12 night stay preferring to use off site areas. A cocktail with an extra shot and a pint of beer we found very expensive at $60.
The pool areas were kept clean and tidy and it was good to see staff patrolling these areas removing towels that were intended to reserve seats for a later time. I could tell you how to do this and get away with it but I wont.
A good experience overall and we would definitely return in the future.

We stayed here for 16 nights on a trip across from the UK. The Disney welcome was wonderful. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. The landscaping and swimming pools were more impressive than I had anticipated.
The transport was very efficient to the theme parks. We never waited more than 13 minutes for a bus. This was both at the hotel or in a theme park. The buses are not the most glamorous way to travel, but the service did work well in transporting a lot of guests quickly between the park and hotel.
However, we did find the room to be far too small for our family of four. The shelving within the room was very well thought out, but there was no getting away from the fact that this was a very small room, it meant that we couldn’t spend any time in the room and we’re always out.
Housekeeping only visited every two days, this is something we were aware of before we arrived, however, again, it was irritating. We paid a lot to stay at this hotel, despite it being budget. Other offsite hotels in the area manage to do housekeeping every day, I can’t see why Disney have not reverted back to daily housekeeping post Covid. It seems a bit of a unnecessary way of saving money on Disney’s part.
We were also less than impressed with the food court. The food it served really was mediocre at best. We had the Disney quick service dining plan and would do our best to eat anywhere but the hotel. We often got Buses to Disney Springs, where the food was a lot better.
We also found the refillable mugs to be quite useless. We were staying in the Rock Inn, this was about a 7 to 8 minute walk away from the food court. We spent each day visiting theme parks, so we didn’t carry the refillable mugs with us. It meant that they weren’t really used, as we did not spend days by the swimming pool and didn’t have the time or inclination to walk back to the food court to refill drinks when we arrived back from the theme parks.
All in all, we really enjoyed our Disney vacation. However, we would not stay at a value resort again.

Overall this hotel was slightly above average. It’s a budget friendly Disney hotel and it performed as such. The staff were excellent. Room service only came once during the 7 night stay and once we had to request they take out the trash. The suites accommodate a lot of people and the Murphy beds saved space during the day. Two bathrooms and one tub which was great for kids. Two pools that were used infrequently and always staffed by a lifeguard. The busses were consistent and transparent about times. I would definitely stay here again for a budget friendly hotel with kids.

You can arrive early and they will hold your luggage until the room is ready (usually after 3 pm, although I have had to wait until after 5 pm once and they did not reimburse us for time lost). You can fully utilize the pools, transportation and restaurants. There are restrooms with changing station by the pool.
