Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Rosen Centre Hotel garners mixed feedback from its guests. While the staff's friendliness and the hotel's cleanliness receive commendations, some visitors point out concerns with service responsiveness and minor maintenance issues. Its location near the convention center is popular, but criticisms arise regarding high parking costs and security. While some guests enjoy the comfortable rooms, others feel the decor is outdated and have encountered reservation problems. Additionally, the atmosphere is often described as needing an update, and while amenities are generally appreciated, the extra charges and perceived value for money leave some guests dissatisfied.

The room had a faint cigarette smoke smell, other than that it was pretty comfortable. The hotel amenities were not great though, dining choices left much to be desired and they charge an extra $15 to use a very mediocre gym. There are much better options around the convention center.

Hotel's Favorite
My condo that was booked for Christmas week was canceled due to hurricane damage. I wasn't looking to spend a fortune to book another place to sleep. On doing a search I located this one. What a pleasant surprise when we arrived. Yes it was a hotel, so were were in 1 room instead of an apartment. But we were extremely comfortable. Close to Universal & Sea World, and less than 10 minutes to Disney Springs. We loved the Valet parking and the kindness of ALL the hotel staff. Would definitely stay here again for a Solo or a couples trip!

The room was a little on the small side, but beautifully kept! Great beds! Very clean, and the entire hotel was always very well taken care of even when very busy. Skywalk into the convention center! Multiple places to grab a bite to eat or sit down and enjoy a drink and a longer leisurely meal. The pool and hot tub area was great and well staffed with an outside bar as well.

I am so disappointed. I booked online and clicked the wrong option. Called immediately to tell them I had an issue and they will not let me cancel my hotel reservation. This is horrible customer experience! The hotel is sold out so if they let me cancel they could definitely sell the room. Very dissatisfied.

Probably a fine hotel for tourists, but not great for business travelers. My room has a desk, but only one power outlet at the desk. The desk chair doesn't adjust, so not so comfy to work here. More importantly, the room smells musty & moldy. Front desk informed me that there are no dehumidifiers or air purifiers available to guests in this hotel. This is Florida. What hotel doesn't at least have a dehumidifier for mold sensitive guests?

Modern rooms, great service. Beds were comfortable, loved that the bathroom and sink area are separated for more usable space. Good size rooms and closet. Enjoyed the 24 hour market/deli, sit-down dining options, lots of common areas to socialize, beautiful pool. Wish that the fitness area did not require extra $15 per day. Ideal location for convention center and restaurants are very close by.

Stayed at this hotel 3 maybe 4 times this last visit will definitely be our last. Stayed 21 nights from 23rd Dec until 14th Jan paid for standard room including buffet breakfast for the entire stay with Virgin Holidays. Went down for breakfast on Christmas morning no one out front like normal so we assumed they were busy and went in, a server was gesturing us over with hand signals sat us down asked what we wanted to drink and told us to help ourselves to the buffet, no one asked us names or roon number? We could have walked in off the street?? anyway once we sat down with food THEN 2 different servers in the space of about 3 minutes asked us if we had a voucher? We had no idea we needed a voucher, i got my phone out thinking they meant my documents saying i had paid for everything but she just pushed my hand away would not even look at it a kept saying over & over i needed a voucher then pointing to others in the restaurant saying "look he has a voucher" & " she has a voucher" etc she was so rude & confrontational, i decided to leave the situation as other guests & staff were staring and go to the front desk, a lovely lady called Wendy helped me sort the issue which was apparently a mistake by reservations and these "vouchers"should have been issued upon check in,Wendy was full of apologies which wss very nice of her but it should have been the 2 servers in Cafe Garguin that were apologising, at this point i realised the Christmas brunch we had also booked was not going to be very enjoyable after the fiasco at breakfast, they made us feel like criminals and was a lot of money to spend to have recieved the same shocking customer service we experienced at breakfast so i asked Wendy if this could be cancelled which she also sorted for us. Every day after this there was somebody out front at breakfast showing us in as it should be. We have been coming to Orlando for 30 years (every year) and i can honestly say this is my 1st bad experience & also my 1st negative review, we have stayed at Shingle Creek many times which is amazing and keep in contact with staff from there and also the Rosen Plaza. Management need to sort out the customer service of certain members of staff. The 2 stars i have given are for Wendy on front desk for sorting the issue in the correct manner and being so nice, also Aziz & Stan at breakfast were great guys, genuine & very friendly giving us tips and places to visit that we had'nt been before, their customer service was exceptional, also Khadijar in Sam & bubbs was lovely as were most of the others in the bar area i just didnt catch their names, Wally in Harrys too. Such a shame a couple of members of staff can impact your holiday experience. The other points to make are 1 drawer in the room?? besides the wardrobe that is, maybe ok for a couple nights for a convention but 21 night holiday?? Also the buffet breakfast was pretty basic a 4 star hotel should also have a menu as an alternative we dont want scrambled eggs everyday! and the pastries bagels etc are not covered, sml flies were landing on them, plz cover these up. Thankyou

I attend a business event every couple of years at the OCCC & I stay at the Rosen Center because it is across the street from the OCCC, within walking distance. The overall service and staff were all wonderful! I had to have a medical device delivered before I arrived and picked up after my departure - no issues at all. Love the shampoo, conditioner and body gel that they are currently leaving in the rooms. I'll be returning in a couple of years, and plan to stay here again, mostly due to location. Just makes my stay so much easier. I have to say - I heard no outside noise when I was in my room . No noise from the hall or any other room. This isn't really a place for families but great for anyone visiting the OCCC (Orange County Convention Center). But the room, for about $250 a night (taxes and such included, and this is the only time I spend this much on a hotel room) isn't worth the price, at this time. In need of being remodeled. I had to hold the toilet paper holder in place when using it, since it was literally falling off the wall. The shower was quite an experience. The first night - barely any pressue and just one step up from out right cold. The next night, I accidently turned on the tub while showering. WOW! The trick for a hot shower with pressure was to have the tub running at half way. Then I had a great shower. By the time I was done, I had a good 4-5 inches of water in the tub, despite the drain being open. There is a small shelf that looks like it was added as an after thought. But, the sound of the tub and shower running at the same time was like being back on the plane. My medical device has to be plugged directly into a wall outlet - there is only 1 actual wall outlet in the room, other than in the bathroom area, too far away from the bed. The USB ports were hit/miss on charging. I found the outlets on the alarm clock work well but the other were extremely slow. Lastly, no tea bags! May seem to be minor but someone who is a tea drinker, this does stand out. I usually attend this business event evey other year and have stayed at the Rosen Center for the last 5 visits. First time I have to admit that I was disappointed. NOT with the staff or any service - they were all great! But the hotel is starting to show it's age and rooms need some updating. I realize it would not be practical to shut down and remodel everything at once but perhaps starting one floor at a time could be possible. The pictures that were on the site showed on the tv were all of the suites and they look wonderful. But I do think the lower floors ("the poor folk" floors) need just as much attention.

Beautiful big hotel! Went there from Jan 2-6, 2024 for a conference held at the Hyatt Regency hotel across the street. Beds were sooo comfortable, and enough towels, and bath amenities were provided for our 4 days stay. Hotel pool was heated, was able to swim in when the temperature fell to 64 degrees the first night of stay. They had Harry's Grill which was where I had some of my meals, and a a cook to order breakfast place at the lobby near the gym if you need coffee. All in all, would stay again if I'm unable to stay at the Hyatt.
