Hotel was great but I am really writing to inform parents of little ones not to use the company for transportation Sunstate that is recommended on Shades of Green site. They advertise that they have car seats, however when I spoke with representative Andy on the phone he refused to tell me whether the car seats were rear-facing or forward...

Military families have one terrific option when staying at Disney World and the Orlando area, the Shades of Green hotel, part of the Armed Forces Recreation Center community. This is the original Disney Hotel and the first hotel at Disney World. The hotel is super convenient to the Monorail, Transportation Center, and offers free dedicated shuttle buses to all the...

I consider myself very lucky to have access to the best hotel at WDW. I have stayed at Shades many times and this last time was once again perfect. Clean and safe are the two best features add to it affordable and comfortable. Bravo

Great experience. Stayed two days over the MLK holiday weekend. Room was clean and nicely equipped. Five minute ride by bus to the Disney TTC. Shades of Green has enough on site to keep you busy. Both restaurants we visited were good also. We will definitely be back

This is our second time at the resort, thanks to a family sponsor. This year we stayed on the newer side of the facility by the parking garage. The rooms are great, well decorated, and spacious. We had a pull out couch and two queen beds. The bathroom had a separate room for toilet and shower, and an very large...

We've stayed at many different resorts at Disney. This is actually a great change of pace from the over stimulation of Disney stuff. It was nice to come back at the end of the day and unwind. My only complaint is the walls are very thin and we heard every crying child on our floor lol. And the tubs are...

There is not a better place to stay in Disney proper, if you are eligible. The rooms are extra large and you will not find a more competitive price anywhere. The property is beautiful, the staff is exceptional and the convenience of being so close to the parks is the best. We like to walk down to the Polynesian and...

Everything was perfect. The nice walk to the tram for seeing all of the Disney sites was excellent and very easy- no driving/parking requirement. my hat is off to the "Larry" who a seasoned concierge at the front desk. Coming back next year to Shades of Green.

I number these due to if I didn't like it you wouldn't see a repeat from me on it. We arrived Thursday morning the day before Hurricane Mathews. We took the red eye flight (which I won't do again, getting to old for that type of stuff) and arrived at the SoG around 0730AM. The staff had a room for...

To do Disney right, you need to stay on-site, or barring that-at nearby hotels with transport. But on-site is best. And if you are active duty or retired military it makes sense to go with Shades of Green. I had the good fortune to stay here recently with a family member who is active duty. If you are eligible, you...
